any review re blue lily boracay?

We'll visit Boracay this Sept 8 - 11. Currently looking at Island Nook Hotel and Taj Guesthouse for our accommodation.

We're 6 in the group; but yung 2 dadating on our second day (Sept. 9). I'm planning sa first day namin stroll stroll lang, mas relaxed. Then on the second day, mga before lunch ang dating nung 2 other companions namin. Sa hapon, start na ng water activities. We plan to have the following:

1. Parasailing
2. Flying Fish
3. Helmet Diving
4. Visit to Ariel's Point
5. ATV riding and visit to Ocean Tower
6. Island hopping (maybe)

Here are my questions:

1. Do you have any other recommended inns/guesthouse/hostel? Budget is PhP600-700 / pax max (1 room which can accommodate 4, better if 2 rooms for 2 pax each)

2. May iba pa ba who comes highly recommended aside from Kuya Nino for water activities?

3. Can we do parasailing, flying fish, helmet diving, and ATV riding and visit to Ocean Tower all in one afternoon? (Probably Sept. 9 in the afternoon)

4. Can we do our cliff-diving adventure at Ariel's Point in the morning, then island hopping in the afternoon? (Sept. 10 whole day)

5. Can you suggest other water activities that aren't in my list?

I hope the weather is fine during our visit. It's my sister's birthday on the 10th and the first time we're going to celebrate it outside Manila. She's really looking forward to it na.

^ sis for Ariel's Point, 11 AM na yung alis nyo papunta dun. then mga 3-4 PM aalis na ulit dun. by 5 PM more or less ang balik. i think it's a whole day activity na so hindi na aabot ng island hopping after.

you can do the ff on the same day though:
* parasailing and helmet diving. sa isang location lang naman to gagawin para hindi na aksaya sa pamasahe sa tricycle. actually pwede mo na din isama yung ATV ride dito since mga 1 hr lang naman yun. pati pala flying fish we saw it there na din nung nag helmet diving kami.

* spend another day for island hopping para hindi kayo masyadong pagod and then you can spend your night relaxing by the beach. ask mo kung kasama na dito lunch kasi minsan may ganun. if not, kakayanin naman ng afternoon trip to.

i still have the contact number nung nag offer ng activities sa min last July. mas marami kayo mas mura. and mas madaming activities to book with him, mas matatawaran nyo din.

Hmm, I'm thinking gawin na lang namin sa Sept. 9 yung Ariel's point (7 AM ang ETA nung dalawang kasama namin) then the rest kinabukasan na. Island hopping sa morning to lunch then ATV, helmet diving, pasailing, flying fish sa hapon. Keri kaya?

Hi girls!

Have you ever tried using AirBnB for your Boracay accommodation instead of yung cookie-cutter hotels? Namamahalan kasi ako sa mga hotels dahil nga mej peak season na ang punta namin (end of November). May nakita kasi akong listing sa AirBnB na buong place for the a group of 6pax na tapos 3k lang per night. Malinis at maluwag.

Ang disadvantage nga lang nito ay walang complimentary breakfast.

@conp_ yes sis pwede na yang sked na yan. will PM you about the contact dun sa boracay. nakalimutan ko lang yung pangalan nya hehe.

@beach_n_sunsets - haven't tried AirBnB for Boracay but we we're supposed to. pero nagamit na namin yan for HK. anyway, you can directly message the owner naman if you have concerns about renting the area. and yes, walang bfast and walang maglilinis ng room nyo everyday unlike sa hotels.

Napuntahan niyo na ba yung Ariel's Point? Yung isa naming kasama, ayaw daw. Masyado daw kasing extreme. Birthday kasi nung kapatid ko; kapag ganun daw medyo malapit sa disgrasya (knock on wood).

pwede naman sis hindi siya tatalon sa cliff kasi meron pang ibang activities dun. aside from buffet at libreng drinks (beer, coke, etc) pwede shang magsnorkel, tapos hiking around the area, pati yung boat paddling meron din. sabi ni manong last time, may mga boats din daw dun pwede mo rentahan kung gusto mo pumunta sa nearby islands.

Actually na-contact ko na 'yung owner and nakapag-pencil book na ko, kulang na lang talaga 'yung bayad hehe. Worry ko lang kasi kasama ko parents ko and ayoko na extra hassle.

Pero for its price/night baka i-go ko na siya.

Ahh, sana maayos naman ang weather kapag punta namin. Gustong gusto talaga ng sister ko. Yung may naman yung kuya ko at girlfriend niya. Di daw kasi marunong lumangoy. Pero di ba may mga lifeguards naman?

Btw, we're no longer trying out island hopping. There's a sudden turn of events (my brother is going to propose!) and baka maubusan na sila ng energy. Haha.

I texted Kuya Nino and ito ang binigay niya na rates for our group composed of 6 pax. Off-peak season rates na daw ito:

1. Ariel's Point - P2000 (this is standard naman na yata?)
2. ATV - P500 each
3. Parasariling - P950 each
4. Helmet diving - P390 each
5. Flying fish - P440 each

^ sis mura na yan. yung sa Ariel's Point. best na dun kayo mismo magbayad sa office nila, malapit sa Coco Mangas. Station 1. kasi iba kapag sa mga nag-ooffer ng activities ka lumapit (i think). parang sabi sa kin ni manong nun, kapag onti nagpareserve (sa office mismo ng Ariel's Point) pwede kang makasama. pero hindi ka entitled sa food and drinks. kapag madami naman nagpareserve, sayang lang yung punta nyo with the bangkero.

same rate din naman sis. then regarding sa lifeguard, meron daw mag aabang sa baba to help you after ng talon mo.

when we had our bachelorette sa mga bar by the beach, merong nagpropose din habang may kumakanta sa stage. super happy lahat ng nanonood pati kami nakikuha ng pics and vids.

Currently here in Boracay, staying at Blue Lilly Villa, standard room. Maliit lang room pati CR pero malinis naman at malamig aircon. May mini ref din sa room. We got it at Php 2,457 per night, discounted from their usual Php 2,900 rate. For me, tama lang yung price nya ngayon kasi pag almost 3k, mahal na considering ang liit ng room. Di naman super liit na masikip.  Queen size naman ang bed. Yung cr lang medyo masikip.  Pero yung True Home, based sa picture sa website nila, mukhang malaki ang standard room nila for almost the same price (3k per night), so to compare, True Home nalang kasi mukhang malaki room.  Yung Blue Lilly wala yatang picture ng standard room.  Meron din palang extra mattress sa room namin nakalagay sa ilalim ng bed.  So pwede pa isang tao siguro.  By the way, these rates are for off peak season.

We were not able to visit Ariel's Point kasi under renovation sila ngayon. I asked sa may Ariel's House (pick up point ng mga taong gustong mag Ariel's Point) kung kelan sila mag open, about a month daw.  I asked kelan ba nagsimula renovation, after daw nung recent habagat.  E kelan nga ba yun??  Buti hindi pa kami nakapag online reservation. Walang nakalagay sa website nila na under renovation sila ngayon.  Sa mga balak pumunta dun, better call them first to ensure kung open na sila.  Normally din kasi need ng reservation at least a day before for this trip.  I read din on their website na kapag ganitong season, 10:30am daw ang alis, earlier than the usual 11am. Then ang balik ay 4:30pm instead of 5pm.

Ang dami nang harang ngayon sa Boracay. So kahit beach front ang hotel mo in station 1, wala ka ring beachfront view dahil sa nakaharang na net and bamboo sa tapat ng resort, like in two seasons, sur, nigi nigi too, etc. Yung bandang dulo lang like ambassador, fridays, onwards ang walang harang.  I will post pics soon on my blog pag uwi ko.  Ganito rin ang scenario in station 2, though wala nang chairs, tables, tent sa tapat ng mga resorts, may space pa din kasi sa gabi binabalik ang mga yon.  Then may harang pa rin sila before the white beach itself.  Kahit mga loungers nasa loob nung may harang.  Ang hirap i-describe, sorry... Parang mas ok pa tuloy mag stay sa station 3, yung medyo dulo na talaga, Arwana Hotel area.  We asked the staff of our hotel kung bakit may mga harang, bawal na raw kasi kumain on the beach kaya limited na rin ang mga loungers.

Maalon ang white beach ngayon and pag morning 'til lunch, wagas ang high tide, super near na nya s mga resorts and establishments sa station 1.

^ sis anjan ka na to scout for venues? hanggang November ata yung ganyang mahangin at maulan sa boracay. sana maayos nila agad yung Ariel's Point. pero alam ko may another cliff jan sa boracay na pwedeng puntahan, yung day tour lang babayaran then kayo na magdadala ng food.

^^ we booked in Ati-Atihan Hostel sa Kalibo. Then in Bora pinagpipilian namin are Island Nook, LSM Square, Tans and Casa Fiesta although baka Island Nook na lang kami.

Mga sis I've read here na pag sinabi na GT member sa Island Nook may discount? Is that true? Usually kelan nyo sinasabi yun? Before paying for the DP or upon checking-in na?

sis babythug28! kaloka, dapat pala nag search na talaga ng mga resorts sa boracay for wedding! nung gabi after i post here, aba nag propose si bf! super surprised ako! wala lang, share ko lang, hehe.

charmed_gal, nung nasa boracay kami aug 24-27, di naman super maulan, umaambon lang.  pero maalon.  sa umaga maaraw, sa hapon/gabi medyo umaambon.  pero keri lang, may sunset pa rin.  nung 26th lang walang sunset.  tapos kung kelan pauwi na kami ng 27, kamado na dagat at maaraw na.

i listed pala various accommodations in boracay station 1 beach front, mga around 3k and below.  check nyo na lang if you're looking for one.
