I was supposed to buy Stieva A 0.025 kaso phased out na pala. Anyone knows the reason why?

I bought nalang Retin A pero walang nakalagay na percentage pero 500mcg/g is .05% naman right? Kaloka kasi di raw sure pharmacist kung ilang percentage yon. Haha. Di ako first time user ng tretinoin nakagamit nako years ago pero I got it from my derma nung time na nagpapafacial pako.

Pwede bang gamitin for maintenance ang RetinA like 3x a week at night lang?

^yes that's what I do.

Are you also using Retin A sis? And for how long have you been using it? 0.05% lang ba talaga ang RetinA?

^ i think ang available lang ng retin-a sa pinas is 0.05%. my advice is to actually start much slower than 3x a week. what i did was on month 1, once a week lang, then month 2 twice a week until i'm able to tolerate and work my way up to every day (well in my case 2 consecutive days and then off on day 3, kasi this is when i'm duty sa ospital so i cant really put tret then). if i encounter redness or peeling (or too much peeling actually lol) i'll go down sa application frequency or skip it for a few days then work my way up again.

Oh okay. Dati na kasi akong user ng tret. Years years ago. Lol. Nagbalik loob lang. Are you also using RetinA? Supposedly kasi dapat 0.025 muna ako eh, kaso wala ng Stieva A. Pero anyway first application ko ng RetinA last night, and so far wala namang sting or anything. Parang ang limited kasi ng options dito satin Retacnyl naman is masakit sa bulsa.

^ i think you can get the 0.025% sa mga derma. my mom was able to get a hold of one eh (but late na niya napakita) and i've already tolerated daily tret with 0.05 of retin a so it's kinda pointless to go down. according to what i've read, the "ultimate goal" sa tret is to be able to tolerate the highest percentage, which is 0.1 and to be able to use it everyday. some naman would say na di naman important yung strength but as long as you can use it everyday already then yun na.

Pwede bang bumili ng Retin-A sa drugstore with out a prescription?  I used tretinoin before pero sa derma ko nabili.  I want to use it again dahil nagkaka-break out na naman ako.

okay gumive up na ko sa tretinoin kasi naman parang 90% of the time ang panget ko sa kanya hahahaha di worth it ang 10% glow.

I think kung di mo kaya i give up ang everyday makeup and exposure to the sun (kahit very minimal) is wag ka nalang mag start mag tret. commitment kasi talaga sya.

Happier ako now with my simpler regimen!!!

^ it's okay to give up on it lalo na kung it's too hassle for you. i understand how much of a pain it is, na sometimes it's not worth it lol. but the effects that i'm after from tret is more long term than the glow, which is no to minimal wrinkles by the time i'm 50 and to look young.  btw how do you apply it sis ba? sa akin di naman siya sobrang bakbak talaga. i still put makeup everyday naman, though admittedly may minimal peeling ako minsan if i get a bit excited with my application the night before but it fades with my natural facial oils as the day progresses. and if i'm so tired, nasisinigan pa rin ako ng araw minsan but i never go out without sunblock (but i've been using sunblock religiously even before using tret naman).

anyway i stopped tret for mga 10+ days kasi i'll be going to the beach tomorrow. now i'm wondering how will i go back to it afterwards, maybe i'll start with every 3 days for week1, then every other for week 2 then back to my full on regimen on week 3. it feels weird after i stopped tret, to have a much simpler routine. wash my face, moisturize then tulog na. ang simple lang ng buhay haha.

Hi sis,

Baka tret is really not for me... triny ko naman sya for almost a year na straight...
nag start pa ko ng every 2 days, hangang naging every other day, hang sa every day.

I apply it 30 minutes after i wash my face (kasi completely dry dapat), i use small lang halos hindi pea size.....

Sobrang sensitive kasi ng face ko baka kaya di nya matolerate si tretinoin... pero i can vouch naman na it helped control my breakouts AS IN however sobrang ang bilis ko mamula, lagi akong nagbabalat (triny ko na din yung i bubuff si tret sa moisturizer as per derma's advice)

Ang concentration ng tret ko is yung lowest which is .25... i read na may tao lang talaga na too sensitive and cannot tolerate tret.... Still highly recommend it though - as long as you are committed and ready to go through yung panget stage kasi it works naman talaga :)

^ You should find out the real cause of your pimples.  Tretinoin is drying pa man din.  There are laser treatments that help kill the bacteria that causes pimples but it could be something else like maybe hormonal.

^ The more simple the regimen, the better, since it would be easier to follow.  To this day, I try to keep it simple.  More on toner, oil/ moisturizer, eye cream and then eyebrow conditioner that's it.

idk if  dahil lang summer kaya i keep on peeling with tret ngayon. or maybe madami ako nilalagay for some reason. now i think i'll go down to just every 3 days ng tret to make my skin heal a bit. plus i would usually stop if for a week or so pag may outing or beach din naman. siguro after summer i'll go back sa full force tret routine ko.
