Question mga sis..
Who uses here retin A  0.1% ? Meron ba sa mercury or watsons wala daw ganun ,  0.05% lang daw available..last week kasi naghahanap ako mercury or hinde alam ng pharmacist yun:/

Is it ok shifting from other brand from Retin A to stieva A?which is  more effective  kaya in controlling pimples, anti-aging , and glowing skin kaya?retin a or stieva a?

Masyado bang matapang yung 0.1 % if for maintainnance lang? Wala naman problem ako sa pimples or acne as in occassional lang pag magkakaperiod ako minsan nga wala akong pimples, me time na isang cystic lang..
2 years user na rin ako ng retin A from lower dosage of  0.025% to 0.05%. And gusto ko try yung 0.1%.
Na subukan ko na rin RDL and derm A.

It is now one month, I have been using Retin-A 0.05 % cream

effect:

Smooth skin texture, still purging the cystic kind :p however, my skin is glowing, I know its weird

I bought tretinoin gel from my derma and will try it for one month if it is better. Moreover, I have been using tretinoin and benzoyl peroxide 5% concomitantly and experience no side effects. It seems to work better it healing my cystic acne.

Hope that helps for some who are on the fence of using benzoyl peroxide and tretinoin simultaneously.

Naexperience nyo ba occassionally purging kahit matagal na kayo nag te tret?

Nag breakout na naman ako,  almost 2 years narin ako nag te tret, and this is my 2nd time na nag purge ako, pag darating ang period ko, I don't mind 1 or 2 pimples, pero now madami katapos lang period ko...wala naman nagbago sa regimen ko, yung make ups ko na nabile ok naman dahil 1 month ko na sya ginagamit at hinde naman ako nagka pimples dun,  parang nag switch lang ako from retin a to stieva a tretinoin, na mas higher concentration. 0.01% , after 1 -3 nightly application ko di naman nagbalat namula or sumakit ang skin ko, basta napansin ko meron na akong mga butlig na maliliit  na hinde ko naman pinapansin.so from butlig lumaki bigla naging pimples na hays ..


What spot treatment na ok with tretinoin?
Pag nag spot treatment ba, nag lalagyan parin kayo tretinoin?
Ano dapat mamuna spot treatment or tretinoin?

How long dapat nakapahinga na yung skin or nagstop na sa tret before pwedeng magpadiamond peel? Pwede na ba after a week na pahinga kung wala ng peeling?

Ako I partner my tret with Celeteque pimple gel. Sa gabi tret, sa umaga yun pimple gel then sunblock.

I am now using Tretinoin in gel form, ugh it is so hard to spread and use

I am not able to do the pea size amount for the whole face, I have to use pea size amount PER AREA so that is 4 pea size

After finishing my tube I will go back to the regular cream version

1st time ko gumamit ng tretinoin sa buong buhay ko hehe 1 month na ako nagtetret. sa derma ako bumili, yung una .05 yung pinapahid ko nainip ako after 1 month bumili ako ng .1 napepressure na nga sakin derma ko kasi nagiging impatience na ako sa mga acne ko. hindi ko napigilan kaya nagpa facial ako. sana ngayon wala ng tumubo na pimples

i gave up tret kase it makes me super oily.. i don't have a case of acne but i still do get mga isa isa pimple per month lang naman my derma put me on isotretinoin 10mg per day. this drug is for severe cases of acne haha i know di dapat ako gmgmit nto pero i want a flawless face khit isang pimple wala haha kung di lang kakakoily tret forever ko na sya ggamitin hehe

Its been a while na nag post ako dito sa gt lagi lang ako looker and sabi ko pag may nakita na ko solution sa acne ko i will share it here. Thank you lord for bringing me into this thread. Noong high school amd college days ko wala ako pimples, when i started working doon ako nagkaroon and since then hindi na nawala. Lahat na i tried, lahat ng naka post sa acne thread nagamit ko na, pati savings ko sa derma naubos na. Sabi ko last resort ko tretinoin. I tried the small tube of retin a .05, mga 2 weeks ko pang gamit nakita ko may improvement na. May micro peeling and tightness ng skin. Noong naubos ko na, i purchased the bigger size yun pa din ang gamit ko ngayon. Voila! Ang dami na nagtatanong sakin [textspeak!] daw ginagamit ko. I swear by tretinoin, sana dati ko pa ginamit. Ngayon once a week ko na lang ginagamit, minsan nalilimutan ko pa. Nawala na yung marks ko sa cheeks, may pasulpot sulpot ginagawa ko na lang spot corrector ang retin a. Sana may before and after pix ako, kaso simula noong nag ka pimples ako never ako nagpa picture ng close up at walang makapal na bb cream. Ngayon i can go out na wala kahit foundation. 😊

Is it advisable na after maxipeel e tret na gagawin ko.. i don't have acnes,tamang paisa-isang pimple lang and maliit na bumps during my periods. I'm 25yrs old. Ok lang ba na mag tret na ako?

Maxi-peel has tretinoin. I think mas advisable to kasi you can't use maxi-peel continuously because it has hydroquinone. At least, after you're done with maxi-peel, you will continue to get the effects of tretinoin without the hydroquinoine.

Sorry di ako naka-reply agad, may thread 6 na pala. Stick to 0.05% Hindi naman super bilis mag-oxidize yung tret like vitamin c

Sis any brand of glycolic acid or cream na mabibili sa mercury or watsons or sa mga malls, like rustan..pang alternate ko sa retin A

Meron sa healthy options, meron din sa lazada ng Paula's Choice, may glycolic acid.

I use tea tree oil from zen zest as spot treatment. Pero madalas nagsspot treat lang ako kapag may pus and pumutok na sya. Kasi hindi din naman ganun ka significantly faster nawawala kahit magspot treat ako.

The only brand available here that I know has 0.1% is Stieva A (Stieva A forte to be exact)

how about retinol 1% mga sis? kc parang mas available sya sa mga anti aging in lotion base or in cream base.

With the retinol products I see, karamihan walang percent. Parang partial ako to tretinoin kasi drug sya. As far as I know, retinol has to convert to retinoic acid (tretinoin) on the skin for it work. There's a clinical study I read that in the long-term halos same lang ang effect ng retinol and tretinoin. The benefit of using retinol is less irritation sa simula. Stick na lang ako with tret, though. Kasi parang ang mamahal ng mga retinol creams na nakikita ko.

Is it necessary to store the tret inside the refrigerator? or pwede rin ilagay sa drawer lang??

I store it sa ref. I don't know if that's needed, nakasanayan ko na lang.

Kahit na bagong wash lang ang face ko nangingitab. Tapos mas nagiging greasy when i put moisturizer pa, why oh why?! 

I notice this too, parang after micropeeling, medyo shiny yung skin na nagsusurface underneath. Pero hindi naman greasy yugn sakin, mukha lang greasy. It's like, sa sobrang kinis, makintab na sya.

I am now 98% because of tretinoin and oral antibiotics but I will stop antibiotics they are giving me stomach aches

OTC ba ang retin-a? ang stieva alam ko it can  be bought over the counter.

Yup! Even the 0.1% OTC lang din. Yung iba off-the-shelf pa, like Derm A, RDL, Maxi-Peel. The latter 2 should be more regulated even, because they have hydroquinone.

Hi ladies,

Been trying to look for the answer to my question but I can't seem to find it. Is it okay to get a regular facial (basic cleaning and a mask) whenever you're on tretinoin? Should I stop using it before getting the facial? How long? And what about after the facial? Can I get back to it right away? Hope someone here knows the answer.

I have once a monthly facial and mask; every 2 weeks salicylic chemical peel and I do not skip my tretinoin

^^ Yup, ok lang. When I was first prescribed with tretinoin, the derm doc asked me to go every week pa rin for a facial and TCA peel.

I know tret is generic pero may difference ba sa mga brand? I have tried palang Derm A and Stieva
