sis thank you! Grabe parang naguluhan ako. Yung long gown na walang beading is 15k ang quote dun sa friend ko. Kapag may beading yata tataas pa yung price. Parang ang ganda kasi ng beadworks nila based sa posts sa instagram. Ang hirap lang kasi natatabunan na ng mga pegs yung IG nila kesa sa clients nila. Isa pang iniisip ko, kung halos makopya kaya nila yung peg namin. Baka mas mamahalan pa kami kung sakanila kesa bumili nalang online.

His starting price is 40k, nagtaka nga ako bakit ang mura, the fact na antagal na nia sa industry and kung 1yr pa  yung wedding mo nagbibigay siay ng 15% discount,, tho yung ibang gowns nia na ginagamit ng artista nasa 170k+
And may program siya sa mga brides na gusto magpapayat..parang he require you every 1-2months para bumalik sa shop nia para magpasukat ulit, ang goal is kada balik mo is bawas ka ng 1/2 inch sa bewang...

Help naman please. Overseas bride ako at nahihirapan ako humanap ng couturier. Si Mel Orlina talaga bet ko kaso hindi naman na nya ako nireplyan kahit umoo na sya sakin, so hindi ako makapag-DP sa kanya kung di nya ko nirereplyan. So I'm thinking to start looking for another couturier. My budget is up to 55k for a church bridal gown. Sino pa ba nasa ganung range mga sis? Gusto ko din gowns ni Von kaso expensive na masyado

^From my experience, she replies quickly sis. I'm following her on IG and saw that she's out on a short vacay. She also posted it on her FB page. Maybe that's why wala pang reply.

sis minttobe, baka nga napunta sa spam lang. you can call her para heads up na nagsend ka ng query para mahanap nila sa spam.  Kahit kasi hindi ka niya kayang iaccommodate magrereply yun unlike others na pag fully booked na deadma na yung email mo.

sis thank you!! nakakaloka doble mahigit ang increase nila sa bead work. yung sa friend ko hindi pa nya nakikita yung finished product pero ang mahal!! sana lang consistent sila per customer sa gawa nila. mas mahal pa increase ng beadwork sa quoted gown. 

sissies, compared ba sa ibang coutourier na mas established na sa industry, sino pa ba okay? peg namin is fully beaded yung top ng gowns na nasa 20k lang? Yung sa friend ko, she was quoted almost twice the budget. Worth it ba yun? Or makakahanap pa ng mas okay?

Super love my gown and I'm still getting compliments until now

I just came from a meeting with one of my potential gown designers.. I was really looking forward to the meeting and her sketch. She was actually a very nice person, but here's the thing:
- She badmouths her other brides/ ento to me and other customers she's currently entertaining, and how hard they have been to deal with. Medyo unprofessional/ junior behavior in my opinion.
- She made me wait 1.5 freaking hours before I got my turn. Sana sumusunod sa sched diba? No consideration and I had to meet other parties after pa naman
- While she was doing my sketch, she was also calling her beader and sewer and fitting other clients, so hindi sya gaano focused.
- She was not really willing to negotiate much the cost of the gown when I told her my budget. She told me not to compromise the gown (and it wasnt just 5-10k overbudget, it was by a mile).
- Another client was fighting with her over scheduling problems while we were there. Apparently, she says you can come by anytime and she'd be at the shop pero she wont really slot you in unless you stated a specific time. o.o
- Clients before me had prolonged fitting periods because the gowns for them hadnt arrived yet

This post is not meant to badmouth her esp. since she is one of my preferred suppliers nga sana. Her name is Patricia Santos and she's only been designing gowns for 2 years, relatively newcomer, and yet quoted price is 130-200k. Medyo na-shock ako sa quote nya, wala namang Swarovski or anything yung gown...

Now im stepping back and rethinking if i want her to do my gown. I believe in her talent, she seems like a good person too,  but she might be too junior (and not too organized) that I risk having to deal with misses like the ones above. Any advice? I have two more shortlisted couturiers to see (both of which are also more affordable) but sayang si Patricia because her designs were unique pa naman. TIA!

As in I was going to make a down payment that week. but i asked a former bride, and  former bridesmaid from another wedding re her work and ok naman sana except that the encourage dresses weren't all sewn well and had to be repaired on the day of the wedding. Take note this happened at two different weddings.

 Btw she quoted me 100k which i think was fair for the design and that's with swarovski crystals already but with a slim non frou frou skirt. 130k was for a fully embroidered and beaded gown with same skirt. I dunno if she has increased her prices since I met her a few weeks ago,  but based on the quote she gave you I guess she increased na.

She's actually very nice and didnt make me wait, although the next appt had to wait quite long I think. And the embroidery and beading on the gowns in her studio were all very cleanly done. I guess its her sewer lang who doesn't sew so well when it comes to entourage gowns.I had a difficult time contacting her at first, but after I met her communication was easy.

I was decided on her already, but sayang bec of the feedback I got.  I decided to go to someone else bec. for the price I am paying I want really well sewn gowns.

thanks sis for your feedback. For a while I was having 2nd thoughts on whether I should book Patricia or not, and just be honest with her and remind her to make sure the gowns are sewn well. However, now I am glad to book someone else.

I think she will make it big some day. However I think for her new price range she's gotta start hiring assistants who can help the scheduling of clients and help organize things a bit.

Sis sobrang thank you din for your feedback.. actually she tops my shortlist, but I just do not want to have problems during my wedding. Also, i forgot to mention that the lady fighting with her mentioned she has been [textspeak!] her everyday for a week with no reply (and she actually denied ever receiving those [textspeak!]).
Sakin, on and off yung replies, she definitely doesn't reply fast on fb or [textspeak!], and half the time none at all. Medyo sabog talaga yung communication.

Anyway ako naman I believe all the gowns I saw in her office were sewn relatively well, definitely she has good sewers and beaders working for her however yun nga, im afraid she might be a bit too junior in some areas. Lagi pa nya inaaway :p And the price, lord, i asked her not to use too much beading on my gown kasi ayaw ko naman ng tadtad, pero lampas 100k padin quote nya for an embroidered and beaded upper and tulle skirt (not frou frou but many layers).

Since Patricia is relatively expensive, i decided to go first to my other choices and compare.

Mga sis, may review ako sa Sheiralyn. Nakakaloka. Yung friend ko doon currently nagpapagawa ng gown for one of the bride's entou. They were quoted 25k for their peg. However, when the gown was "almost done" na daw, naloka sa beadwork ang friend ko. She showed it to me. Super tipid sa beads.  so nagpadagdag sila ng beads + some adjustments umakyat daw ng 35k. Ngayon napapailing nalang yung friend ko dahil narealize nya bridal gown na daw yung 35k. Then nag-pa-pa-update daw sya sa gown matagal daw ang reply. Then nito lang nagreply, sobrang nakakatawa. Yung photo of the gown parang based on the background it was taken from their bodega or gawaan ng mga gowns. Haha!  at wala pang nadagdag sa beads! The event will be this weekend na pero yung gown and my friend are still in limbo. Buti nalang talaga hindi ako sumunod sakanya magpagawa dyan.

I'm currently in touch with Happy Andrada at I'm happy with her quick response even thru e-mail. I have yet to decide if I'll have  her or maghanap nalang talaga ng RTW - as wedding guest ha. I saw Rhett Eala's handpainted RTW gowns pero he's living under a rock lol. I mean, walang email. Phone number lang ang nakita ko posted on StyleBible. So we'll see.
