Hello! Has anyone been to both 1br and 2br suites of Astoria Plaza? I am planning to get 1br for the preps, but di ko matyempuhan na may available unit for ocular. I've been to their 2br suite a few times. Do they have the same dining and living area floor space for 1br and 2br?

My other option is Lancaster Hotel in  Shaw, this is much nearer our church (Archbishop's Palace) and a bit cheaper than Astoria. Has anyone done wedding preps here?  TIA!

^ Sis, ako rin I'm eyeing Lancaster. I booked via Agoda for preps and honeymoon pero plan namin puntahan ang Lancaster by January 2016, baka may mga ma-offer sila for the wedding preps. Not sure pa rin kasi if kukunin namin ang Hotel accommodation sa package namin eh, baka wala breakfast na kasama un sayang naman ang nakabook na sa Agoda na may breakfast buffet pa na included.

Hi gamie, are you asking us what it means? Kasi I can't find any reference to booking.com in the previous discussions.  If  so, then it basically means that your card will not be deducted any day charges or cancellation fees in such an event that you changed your mind and cancel your stay with the said hotel or b&b.  Provided that you have cancelled  within the given time frame.

Nag ocular ulit kami sa Luxent last Friday. Dun lang namin nasilip yung Luxent Suite at ang laki at ang ganda pala! Baka pikit mata na lang naming ibook yun kahit mahal Okay na din kasi walang limit sa number ng tao na pwedeng umakyat, pwede outside food, they allow na hanggang 4pm ang check out time sa Luxent suite nila instead yung normal na 12pm and pwedeng sila ang maghatid ng mga guests sa room mo since may key cards sila and mag iisue din sila ng extra key cards para sa ibang suppliers.

Worth it naman yung 10k preps fee IMO Isipin mo na lang, maganda yung hotel plus ok ang service.

I was considering Shaw Residenza and Lancaster kasi super lapit sa church. Pero we went for ocular, hindi masyado ok. Shaw Res was big enough and cheap, pero di lang ok yung itsura. Condo kasi as opposed to a hotel talaga. Lancaster naman was masikip. My friends and cousins and sister threw a bridal shower for me at Astoria Plaza, and super luwag! I've been there na rin couple of times. I thought lagpas sa budget na sinet ko for hotel which is 12k, pero I found a cheaper rate, yay. Actually less than my budget pa inabot.

 I booked Astoria's 1br suite for less than 4K lang, through asiatravel.com plus free cash vouchers pa worth 1500 per booking (EastWest card promo). I suggest look for credit card promos whe booking a room sa booking sites. Kahit 10% lang yun, it's still savings! Astoria nga lang wasn't valid for promo codes sa Asia Travel eh, kaya I went for the EW promo na lang, w/c is free cash vouchers when you book at least 1500 worth. Cheaper kasi rate sa AsiaTravel compared to Agoda and Expedia.

hi sis! we did an ocular at Raffles and Fairmont. we really liked it because it looked very new! also liked the idea of me and h2b on different hotels but on the same building. the only drawback was we had to pay 5 or 10k yata for the pictorials if you're not having the reception there. their rooms were already expensive so we didn't push through with it na lang. we went for Manila Pen instead. hope this helps!

Hi Ms.bzbee. I want to book my preps at Manila Pen as well. But I heard/read either one of 2 things- that they don't allow photo ops anymore or that you have to pay around 5k. Do you know which one is true? And what kind of suite did you book if you don't mind me asking? And how about the meals for the suppliers? Is it true that Manila Pen does not allow delivery?

Hi sis lord3ss. We also booked Manila Pen for our wedding next month. As far as I know is they really don't allow photo ops if you'll not be holding your reception within Pen. Unfortunately I don't know about the 5k bit. We booked Premiere Suite which they regularly give for wedding preps. Sometimes daw pag maswerte ka they upgrade it to Executive Suite. Suppliers for meals, depende sa coordinator kung may style sila. But from what i know they don't allow food takeouts na ipasok kasi you could order from their canteen. Hope this helps
