Ascott hotel, Dusit Thani, Holiday Inn or Fairmont? Wedding is at Sanctuario de San Antonio Makati Balak ko honeymoon, as in yung pagkatapos ng reception eh either Seda The Fort or F1 the fort na lang since our reception is at Casa Real (Acacia Estates Taguig). Pero help me sana with the wedding preps

^inquire ka sa 3 hotels sis and check mo isa isa ang rules nila at compare. Mas maganda if mag ocular ka din and check the rooms and see which one is fit with your needs.

thanks sis vitug.annie mayroon ba sa inyo dito na same choices or nakaexperience na? normal ba yung ocular ng room, hindi ba mawiwirdohan sakin yung receptionist?

^Hi sis. My cousin who recently got married advised me to book the same hotel for wedding preps and wedding night. She explained that the couple, including their families, will not have the time to fix everything in time for check out. Well, you can ask your families or others for help. Personally though,  being the OC person that I am, I prefer to check everything before leaving the premises. I don't want to leave anything behind especially items that were used for posterity purposes.

Regarding ocular, we did ocular in the hotels that we checked. You just have to ask the person in charge that you would like to check out their rooms. I'm not sure if all hotels allow the checking of rooms though (under the pretense that they are "fully booked" )

agree with sis caleeice, advise din samin ng mga AE during oculars is to book the same hotel sa wedding preps and wedding night. if you don't need 2 rooms on the wedding night, you can ask the hotel staff or your wedding coordinators to move all your stuff to one room nalang.

most of the hotels in makati are used to having wedding preps naman daw, so they allow multiple visitors per room. pero pagalingan daw ng diskarte when it comes to bringing in of food for the suppliers. also, they don't allow photo ops in public areas outside the hotel rooms if you're not having the reception there unless you're willing to pay for an additional fee.

we're also considering serviced residences like Picasso or Fraser, they are relatively cheaper and have much bigger rooms than hotels.

Hay. I'm taken aback sa santuario de san antonio... eh yung church ang basis ko for hotels... 30k +++ ang fees, tapos full payment na agad and 10am saturdays na ang latest sched for non parishioners. maaga na nga, mahal pa. ok lang sakin [textspeak!] 30k e, pero yung mga additional fees malungkot.

So... i am now more unsure of which hotels to target.

Hey dcpdane, consider Ascott in BGC. It's relatively new and you can get a 2 or 3 bedroom unit for a relatively cheaper price compared to booking at Fairmont or the other Makati hotels. My family and I stayed there for New Years Eve. Rooms are nice and since it's a serviced residence, you can definitely bring your own food in.

Wow, that's great to hear! Ma-check nga Yun lang ay kung itutuloy ko pa sa santuario de san antonio despite the fees and the morning sched-only for non parishioners Bahala na, nov 2016 pa naman ako.

Try mo sis yung nasa UN avenue, kulay blue na highrise building, forgot the name PEarl Manila ata. Or if you want sa hotel ng St Benilde College? Baka mas mura kesa sa mga mainstream

nope, not manila hotel. no worries! marami dyan sobra swerte mo sa location mo, no need magmadali if di ka picky sa number of stars ng hotel mo.

I love serviced hotels/serviced apartments. How I wish may ganito in Ortigas, yung kasing ganda ng Ascott or Somerset sa Makati. Meron ba kayo alam mga sis?

Sis, Oakwood Joy Nostalg! I've also stayed there with family. The rooms are big and spacious. I would get them for my wedding kaso our venue is at Mckinley Hill, Taguig and sayang din yung travel time even if it's a Sunday.

^ Oo nga pala, Oakwood! Haha! Nasa isip ko lagi na hotel ang Oakwood Joy Nostalg. Lol. Agree ganda nga dun super comfy talaga! We're also considering them ang prob lang walang masyadong nice spots for photo.

Gusto ko mag Manila Pen or Somerset kaso Ortigas area ang wedding ko, baka magalit fiance ko kapag pinush ko ang Makati for wedding preps.

Ask your photographer if he/she's had experience shooting in Oakwood. I suggest you go around the entire building and check for nice spots. But agree with you, Manila Pen talaga the best for photos. Is it true that they don't allow shooting in the public areas anymore? As in, no more photos or they'll allow you as long as you pay?
