Me I'm looking forward to getting old especially growing old with my husband.

Love nga namin yung song na "I wanna grow old with you."  :)

I would always imagine me and hubby getting old and still loving each other. Our children getting married and having their own lives. Me and hubby becoming grandparents.

And then dying. Lahat naman tayo mamamatay.
I'm not afraid to die, sabi nga ni apostle Paul "To live is Christ, to die is gain".
I think I can die peacefully knowing na nagawa ko na lahat ng dapat kong gawin bilang wife and mother na pleasing sa Panginoon.
Loving my husband, serving him, raising my children in the admonition of the Lord.

I guess, yes meron akong fear.. pero naiisip ko naman, well everybody gets there eventually. When I get really old na, like my future children have graduated na and all that, I plan to travel to different places. Something to look forward to.

Hi just want to ask sino dito ang mga takot sa pagtanda? Why?

Especially us girls, takot tayo dyan lahat ng "what ifs" papasok sa  isip natin. Nabobother ka sa looks mo,sa figure, sino mag aalaga sayo, no income, etc.

I think it is a natural progression of life. Lahat naman tayo tumatanda.

Yes nakakabother isipin when I see oldies na neglected. That's why as much as possible, I try to give them attention, kasi yun naman ang kailangan nila.

Pero in our case, hindi naman siguro kelangan matakot. We just have to plan our life such that di ka matatakot or at least i-minimize mo ang risk na nabanggit mo - looks, alaga, income, etc.

In the looks front, by the time you reach 80, I don't think you would care pa sa figure mo di ba?  :D  You have lived your life na to the fullest, alangan naman gusto mo pa rin maging hot babe at 80yo? hehe But seriously, the trick is to grow old gracefully. No smoking, eat right - veggies, fruits, plenty of water, sleep right, exercise, choose the right partner for you (para hindi sumakit ulo mo or umikli buhay mo).  ;D

Alaga - if you take care of yourself and eat right, why do you need anyone to take care of you?  Maliban nalang talaga kung hindi ka makalakad.  So kelangan mo maging strong, and better longevity.  Exercise is key, just do not overdo it.  Tapos eat right, kasi kung kahit ano ang kain mo at kung may ano anong sakit ka na, definitely, matatakot ka kasi hindi mo alam when sickness will strike you.  This is one of the reasons why I don't want to retire in Manila. Coz i cannot imagine myself getting old, tapos doing everything on my own. Unlike sa ibang country, well, at least where I am, elderlies can still do their daily routine independently. Kung sobrang na bedridden nalang sila, tsaka puede sila pumunta sa homes for elderly care where they can also mingle with people of the same age and share the same activities.  Ewan ko sa Pinas kung uso iyan.

Income - dito pumapasok ang career, building up your wealth and savings, insurance.  So kung maayos naman ang financial plan mo sa buhay mo, you should be fine.

And I quote Johnny Depp when he said, “Growing old is unavoidable, but never growing up is possible. I believe you can retain certain things from your childhood if you protect them - certain traits, certain places where you don’t let the world go.” This is something I truly believe in. So, I pretty much focus on what I have now and bank on my wealth of experience to live life to the fullest. I do think of the future, enough for me to set-up myself to prepare for it, but not to the point of dreading it based on uncertainties or being weighed down by thoughts of what could go wrong. In fact, I always like to look at the bright side of things. No matter how dire it may seem, there is always something good out there. Keeping that kind of mindset does truly help, so that's what I intend to do! Works for me, but again, to each his own truly!

I know I'm old when the loud music started to annoy me and I get really really sleep after 9pm. Hahaha!

But yeah, growing up is an option!

we all know the alternative to 'getting old' right? to 'die young'...I'd rather take the former than the latter.  and besides it's just life's natural progression, we're all gonna get there, at least the lucky ones.  ;)

True, we cannot stop aging, but make sure when we do grow old our heart is young and enjoy benefits that come with old age :)

True, aside from we can't stop ageing, we cant stop death too, una una lang yan ika nga.
I do have fears sa pag tanda like makakapag asawa ba ako, magkaka anak or I'll die alone and poor, so far yung pagiging poor pa lang nagagawan ko ng paraan ngayon haha.
Mas nagwowonder ako kung paano ako mamamatay than getting old eh. I don't want to die due to cancer or any illness na nakakapangit at sobrang sakit, mas gusto ko mamatay na bayani haha, yung tipong may kabuluhan.

i'm not afraid of getting old. lahat naman tayo pupunta dun walang excuse. hehe. pero masarap tumanda pag all set na in a way na wala ka ng iisipin pang problema o kaya gastos. dapat talaga pag handaan natin yung pag tanda.

I'm more afraid of getting sick than getting old. Kaya din we've changed our lifestyle to be fitter and healthier.

Me & hubby are ok going back to a province life and plant camote literally ;) and eat bulanglang everyday, just the 2 of us that's how I picture our retirement - and they live happily ever after hehe.
I worry less now sa physical appearance, I can embrace it knowing that I got those body from bearing 2 intelligent and adorable human beings.

What myy worries are emotionally being prepared:
- When my 2 boys are on the right age get married and leave the house :-[
- Worried na maging pabigat, I'm the one who's sickly :'(
- When I get old that I didn't overcome the regrets of unfulfilled dreams that I am still having once in a while :-\

What we're doing and needed to do:
- Now, what we are seriously doing is our savings and investment.
- As for our health we're trying and we have different natural regimen everyday
- And for face wrinkles, I have fine lines na and few years nalang we'll be in our 40s. I make sure every night I have a face moisturizer and undereye cream kahit antok na antok na ko babangon ako para dun hehe.

I imaging us getting old, listening to gary V's - I will be here and through the years - while looking at our family's old photos aw!kakaiyak hehe

We all are eventually going to be old ones but it doesn't mean that we can't be fresh and still look fab. One of my goals in life is really to age gracefully. I've always wanted to be the old lady who looks younger than her peers lol

what scares me most of getting old is not being able to do the things in my bucket list. I wanna travel the world. I want to experience LIFE. I dont wanna get old and have so many regrets. kaya I wanna have fun as much as possible.

The second thing that scares me is getting sick and nobody is around to take care of me.

3rd is being old and broke.

4th is losing my physical beauty. Im used to getting the attention of men and women alike kasi (hindi sa pagmamayabang ha) and Im scared that when I get old, wala ng papansin sa akin sa daan.. hahaha yeah..such a loser, right?  I hear people talk kasi,"shes so pretty kaya lang oldie na" pertaining to one colleague .. I mean I dont want people to talk about me like that.LOL kainis lang diba? di ba pwede, shes so pretty lang minus the matanda na part...

Di naman ako takot madagdagan ang age. What scares me is to grow old alone. Yun talaga.
