Nung ako, nasa hrpu ako before noon. Nung hapon, nagpunta na si hubby sa admissions para magreserve ng room kasi baka maubusan at mapunta kami sa small private (malalaki kaming tao so nasisikipan kami sa small private, hehe). Nanganak ako 1am na.

@caffelatte naku, super trauma ako nun. I had no idea kasi, as in zero knowledge of what will happen. My fault rin naman, hindi ako nag research, hindi rin ako nag attend ng classes. here goes, I'll try to keep it short haha

My waterbag broke before my contractions started. so we rushed to the ER pero may blue slip na kami nun (blue pa rin ba kulay ngayon hehe) so punta agad dun sa maliit na room sa 2nd floor rin ata to. kung saan papalit ka ng damit, bibigyan ka ng enema, ask a lot (as in a lot) of questions (paulit ulit) feeling ko pinagpractice ako ng mga students dun. Anyway, okay lang naman kasi pain ko was around 2/10 at that time 4cm na raw ako so admit na sa labor room (wala akong idea na may HRPU) Ayun, dun nagsimula ang purgatoryo ko.

I was in labor for 12hours ata but only progressed to 5-6cm daw. pero masakit na rin ha, hindi sobrang sakit, pero uncomfortable, hindi rin ako nag dinner before, so gutom na gutom na ako, at hilong hilo na. I was asking for a bit of water, bawal daw. every 20mins may IE ako, iba ibang tao may one time pa 3 sila nag IE sakin, nung tinanong ko yung nurse, mga students daw. O diba. Ang sakit kaya nang IE. Mas masakit pa sa contractions ko nun. Tapos i was asking if pwede ako tumayo kasi ang sakit ng likod ko (i think i was having back labor) hindi raw pwede kasi naka IV ako, tapos naka monitor daw ako. Tapos ang ending CS rin kasi meconium stained na si baby.

Ayoko lang talaga yung ang daming tao papalit palit tumitingin sakin. parang 12 hours akong nakabukaka  tapos free for all yung vagina ko. 

oops. napahaba. hehe I think better nga yun wag muna kumuha ng room. hubby kasi nung time na yun kumuha agad ng room eh di nasayang yung 12hours na nasa labor room rin lang ako. Tapos yung rates ng labor room and everything naka depende ata sa room mo? Not sure lang about this pero that's what I've been reading. Pwede naman ata semi private room tapos pag andyan na si baby saka kayo pa upgrade sa private?

Hi newbie po ako  i just want to know lang kung how much yung labortory test sa SLMC QC kasi first check up ko kay Dra. Bautista and nirequire niya ako magpalab for cbc,urine,hepa etc. and yung TransV.  Gusto ko lang malaman kasi bka mashock ako sa babayaran ko atleast ready lang ako sa gagastuhin ko. Thanks po

baka yan yung complete blood test and 1st US na around 7k? Not sure ah, you can call them naman sa hotline nila. Pwede naman sa labas ka magpagawa sis, that's what we do, papakita lang namin yung request sa diagnostic lab (usually Hi-Precision kami sa east ave kasi a lot cheaper siya)

bagaholic_chewy: Thank you sis for the advise. We're planning to get a big room nga din kasi baka sa hospital kami mag Christmas or New Year. At least may room for visitors. Depende kay baby kung kailan nya gusto mag grand entrance. Hehe.

ainge88: Sis thank you sa story mo. Nakaka-trauma nga yung ang dami nag IE sayo, only to find out na puro students pa. I am a nurse and nag duty din sa DR, naexperience ko din during my duty days na mga student doctors naghahandle ng mga deliveries pero sa ibang hospital, I don't want that to happen to me. Yung pag IE pa nga lang sakin ni OB nung last check-up ko, nasaktan na ako, what more pa yung every 20 minutes? Hehe. My doctor gave me na an order form (white and pink paper) na ipapakita daw sa DR if na-feel ko na ang mga signs of true labor. She also gave the consent for labor and delivery form. Na-discuss na din nya saakin everything that's in there. I'm more excited now. Nung 8 months ko, puro fear, pero now na 9 months na, puro positive vibes na lang.

julyah09: Sis, oo nga mas makakamura ka if sa labas mo gagawin. Ang maganda lang if sa St. Luke's din ang mga tests mo, anytime na pumunta ka sa DR, di ka na tatanungin ng mga resident doctors dahil meron sila internal access sa mga results mo. But if you're planning to do it outside, prepare a clear book where you can put all your test results (ultrasound and blood tests/urinalysis). Always bring it with you. Nung ako kasi, nagpreterm labor, pagdating ko sa DR ng St. Luke's ang daming tanong. May mga tests ako done sa lab nila, pero not all. Kaya buti na lang, prepared ako sa compilation ng mga results. Important kasi na they know your pregnancy through the tests na irerequest ng OB mo.

Good luck saatin na mga manganganak sa St. Luke's. I am really hoping and praying na before Christmas na ako manganak. It will be a very merry Christmas for me and my hubby.

@caffelatte: same reason kaya sa slmc na din ako nagpapatest. Para nakikita na din sa system nila.

@ainge: sis, oo nga! Dumbo-hala nako. Same pala tyo 4 yrs ago. Halos same din na case,water broke kaagad. Andami nga na IE, nagdidiliryo na din ako pero parang same doctors? Or baka mali ako. Super sakit at tinutulak ko sila habang nag a-ie. Kulang na lang sapakin ko. Hahahha! As in tulak sa dibdib or braso ang ginagawa ko sa mga residente. Yung OB kasi dumating umaga na 15 hrs ata ako nag labor kasi naadmit ako 7pm or earlier tapos 10am the next day nako nanganak. Para akong nakakita ng anghel nung makita ko OB ko. Hahhaa. Mag tour tayo

I said no to a few residents wanting to do an IE. Meron kasi isang resident she was like: i'll do an IE ha tapos you want i'll help you dilate. Ako naman oo ng oo. Kaloka i wanted to smack her face after. So after that when someone wants to do an IE sabi ko ayaw ko till bigyan na nila ako ng some sort of relief from my contractions. I was stuck at 3cm and they dont recommend epid till 5cm. They made me sleep as per my request bwhahahaha wala silang magawa. So yes you can say no to them. I only opened my legs to my ob after that.

Better do it outside nalang and just bring copies of the results with you.  Mahal talaga sa SLMC.

Hi Ladies,

Thanks for all your inputs about SLMC. At least we have an idea about the expenses and your experiences with them. Is it allowed if you can pay in credit card for some part of the expenses? Hopefully hubby and I can decided what hospital to go to. But we really want to try SLMC since they are known for their best services especially "maselan" ako with my pregnancy.

sino may Mercury credit card sa inyo? di ba may additional discount kapag ginamit mo yun? kasama ba ang SLMC dito? who has tried availing it? sayang din kasi yung 10% na discount if ever.

Hi there, sa mga nanganak na dito ask ko lang sila na din ang nagpoprovide ng damet or lab gown ba tawag dun tama? Sorry medjo stupid question I just want to mke sure lang naman.

Okay yang mercury card if nagaaccept nga sila, I dont have one but my mom in law meron sana pwede yun malaki na din talaga ang 10% sa mahal ng SLMC hehe!

^ sa patient? Yes. Pinapalitan din everyday. You can also request for someone na i-shampoo ka or paliguan or punasan everyday kasabay ng pagchange ng gown mo.

Hi Ladies,

Does anyone here tried the Congenital Anomaly Scan of St. Lukes QC? Please share your experiences. We're deciding if we are going to SLMCQC or other clinic. I am scheduled on Jan 31 so I need to decide soon. During my first trimester I was sick most of the time so I'm kinda worried that my baby is affected so we want to choose the best CAS service for our baby.

^ had my CAS sa SLMC-QC. Ok naman. Thorough sila. And relaxed magsalita. What I don't like is - as with the other ultrasounds - di nila agad pinapapasok si hubby. E matagal ang procedure so medyo naging jittery din ako.. pinapasok si hubby sa dulo na, ni-run through lang sa kanya ang naging results. Pati tuloy nauna ko nalaman ang gender ni baby, instead na sabay sana namin malaman.. yun lang.

^^i had my CAS yesterday. I was very satisfied with the Dr. Even the senior consultant was very friendly. I only called 2 days ago and sinabihan nga ako na wala ng slot. Next week na daw soonest. But Im on my 27th week na so nakisuyo ako. They found a schedule for me.

Hindi nga nila pinapapasok kaagad ang husband baka kasi matagal talaga. Dun na lang sa last part kapag magdidiscuss na. Sa case naman namin, alam na namin gender ni baby sa naunang ultrasound.

Kung sa SLMCQC OB mo sis, I would recommend to also take the labs there para nasa portal and the OB can access it anytime. We just had some snacks sa cafe then results were available na after an hour.  I was on wheelchair too the whole time kaya super convenient for me ang naging process.

Gave birth at SLMC qc with dra.  Elsie pascua as my OB.  She's simply the best and she let my husband stay with me during the entirety of the labor and birth.  I think your husband staying with you depends on your OB
