just a tip girls. set min&max costs for your budget. then work on it. Ex. min250k-max300k. remember that your max budget is the money you are allotting to your wedding, not the money that you can give. And the additional 50k resulting to your maximum budget is the money that you can add for your extras and wants.
Your min cost is the computation of the essentials, so this could also be less the actual price if you could haggle to your suppliers.
Always remember your wedding could be as lavish as you want but be practical & keep in mind that after wedding, you still need money for your start.

^Thanks girls. based on experience lang. ako kasi medyo maarte talaga ako pero si hubby super tipid. I had no choice but to really stick to our budget and forgo my wants. But still I can say that I had my dream wedding. we had our actual amount totaled  almost 300k+. im proud to say that we did not overshoot. our budget was from 250-300k. we had 150 guests plus suppliers. I did more DIYs and extra research on the most affordable but nice output. you can check out my pics to see our wedding. Our guests thought that we really spent that much, looking at my gown and our reception parang bonggang bongga.
Note, may photobooth kami na worth 20k kasi we really wanted the electronic guestbook but still we managed to stick to our budget of course I had to sacrifice someting like we had no sde, coordinator, etc..

^Bilib ako talaga sa yo tsaka kay sis donya_dyosa sa pagbabudget. Hands down ako. Lalo na kasi meron ka pang electronic guestbook.

For our wedding,  our total wedding expenses was around 655k all in, including our honeymoon. for 180 guests. Honeymoon namin we spent 35k, so mga 620k sa wedding itself. Kasama na dito mga gastos namin sa prenup.

I can attest to this. To date, we've already had 3 blog features of our wedding 😍 research talaga kailangan to get quality but affordable suppliers.

Take advantage of promos and discounts tapos dagdag bawas sa breakdown to prioritize non negotiables versus other items.

We spent 330k only for 100 pax at kasama na diyan pati mga documents processing fees, DIYs materials, prenup, and all other wedding related expenses.

but i'm happy to say that our wedding is something that my fiancé and i will shoulder by ourselves.

I'm a bit ashamed to admit this because everyone on this thread seems to be very good at budgeting! Haha pero we're already looking at 2M for 250 pax.. initial budget was 1.6M but then we realized we had to go to 1.7M to get the major suppliers we wanted (P/V, Coor). And then after that, we realized we missed a lot of things pa on the budget sheet... like LED walls, alcohol, cost of making AVPs, generator... you get it by now. We have extra expenses also from "wants"-- getting our own priest for the OOT wedding, a prenup video, prenup photoshoot, etc. The great thing is, my in-laws want to contribute and will pay for the food (~450k) so as a couple, we are still within our initial 1.6M budget, hehe. We agreed to keep within that no matter what na!

I was also quite shocked when we realized that our L&S quotations are all between 80-92k, ganon na ba talaga ngayon?! Haha. All with basic L&S, OOT fee, generator, full band setup, and 2 LED walls. Pero kung no choice, we will go with it. Kala ko kasi una mga 35-40k lang aabutin yung L&S.

Our initial budget is 500K for 150 pax. Our wedding is on April 2015. Total guests now is around 180pax and nasa 600K na yung expenses namin. Out of the 600K budget, si H2B paid for the rings and I paid for the 50% of my gown and the HMU.

We requested our entourage to shoulder the cost of their gowns. We gave them the fabric they can use for their gowns. I included the female entourages in the HMU package. Yun na lang yung token ko sa kanila.

Ang kulang na lang namin is the choir/band, tokens for our principal sponsor and accommodations. Hopefully, we don't go beyond 700K.

The 'wants' and getting sikat na suppliers really blow up the budget. For the wais na bride, magreresearch and search until makakuha ng suppliers na kaya magdeliver while paying less.

Yeah.. even yung change of heart sa suppliers after making down payments.. could inflate expenses.
