Sis lucky me.. same tayo ng prob. 200 pax lang plan namin. We tried doing the initial guest list and it's 220. So yung budget ko hindi na talaga masunod sunod. Tas may mga add ons na di maiiwasan.

Mukhang malabo ang 150k budget ko for 80 guests . Kasi Venue and Caterer pa lang 100k plus na. plus 40k ang p/v. We also have to add guests kasi ang package ng Bella Ibarra is at least 150 heads. Hay... mukhang we have to add up sa budget. Although our parents are willing to help, iba pa rin pag kami talaga ang gagastos for our wedding...

HI sis, I had the same problem during my wedding. what i dis we downgraded the package kaya from 150pax naging 180pax. But on the wedding day itself nasa 150k lang ang dumating.

The 120k Tagaytay wedding challenge!

initial plan is 120k for an intimate wedding of 80 pax.. (family and relatives +10 closest friends lang yan)
yung entourage ko, mga ninong at ninang, tito at tita ko na din. yung mga abay ko, sisses ni h2b and brothers ko.. mga ring bearer, FGs, puro anak ng brothers ko and mga anak ng sisses ni h2b.

nung nag count ulit ako i counted 90pax di pa kasama ang mga kids (although allof them 7 yo below) and mga GF/BFs ng mga pinsan. so siguro aabot ng 100pax? nung nag tabulate ulit ako nasa 180k na. super tipid pa yan. ang crew ko lang is P/V and HMUA. walang florist, coordinator, L&s, emcee etc... Main contributor sa expenses is reception, p/v and church fee. sana di na madagdagan

^ ka-close mo ba mga bf/gf ng pinsan mo? Isa yan sa mga nagpapalobo ng list ng guest, hinde namin invited mga plus1 ng bisita unless ka-close at gusto talaga namin invite. Plan ko sabhin na to ahead of time in a nice way naman.

^ I was once my hubby's gf na ngayon ay ex-gf na lol na sumama sa wedding ng  cousin nya. Nung una hesitant ako kasi nakakahiya kasama ako sa head count eh never ko pa na-meet yung cousin nya at that time. Kaya siguro madali lang nila maiintindihan kung hindi sila isasama unless super close kayo at talagang they're looking-forward to be part of your wedding.

In my case naman, I learned na it'd be a big celebration at talagang sinama ako sa head count na sa side namin may mga hindi nakasama so sumama na ako since kulang naman pala kaming invited. Hehe

Ay buti naman I got to this thread while the topic is GF/BF ng cousins/friends. We're limiting our guest list kase, and dahil sa daming kapatid ng nanay ko, madami rin akong pinsan, so yung half ng 50 relatives ko lang, 2 lang ang friends ko dun. I don't mind my cousins bringing their gf/bf, kaso panget bang sabihin na kung sasama sila, pwedeng bayaran nila? Mean ba? Kase naman I've never met them, although deadma lang naman din ako kung nandun sila, pero I don't really feel like paying for them! Sa friends ko na lang yun kung maglalabas ako ng pera for another head!

Anyway, my real question was -- sinama niyo ba sa budget ang honeymoon? Kase sa spreadsheet na napulot ko online somewhere, the honeymoon is included sa budget. Tapos in this wedding etiquette book my flatmates gave me kasama rin as elements of a wedding yun! Pero naman, kung isasama ko yun, waaaaaaaayyyy over the budget na kami! Huhuhu

^sis, instead of allowing them to bring their plus ones and then asking them to pay for it themselves, better na siguro sabihan mo na lang na wag na nilang isama, or na no plus ones unless otherwise specified. haha. for sure kase mas nega ang dating pag pinagbayad mo pa sila. and i totally understand your point, na you'd rather spend the additional heads sa mga taong importante sayo.

with my friends' plus ones, kasama talaga sila sa guest list namin since lahat naman sila eh naging barkada na din namin so walang problema.

re: honeymoon, dun sa sinet naming limit na 350k, di pa kasama yung honeymoon dyan. but we're saving up for it as well, so kung kasama, nasa 450-500k kami. yung honeymoon kase namin is several months away from the wedding so hindi ko na sinama. haha

^ agree. mas ok na sabihin mo na lang hinde kaya isama mga plus1 kesa pagbayarin mo, if mag-insist na babayaran nila accept mo hehee...pero for me more than the budget, yoko talaga ng guest na hinde pa namin name-meet or hinde ka-close tapos makakahalubilo namin. 150 lang guest namin, if 10 yung pinsan ko na magdala ng plus 1 nila na hinde ko kilala mapapansin ko yun during the program. Actually, may mga pinsan ako na hinde ko ininvite din, yun mga tipong hinde ko makita ng madalas, pero mga tita at tito na parents nila invited naman. Sana maintindihan nila, if not, ok lang, it's our wedding kami dapat masunod

^in my case really close kami magpipinsan sa side ng mom ko. so every occasion, pasko, bagong taon, undas, at kung anik anik nagrrenuion kami magpipinsan. and also, ako yung youngest na girl samin magpipinsan. and 5 nalang ata yung single guys sa mga pinsan ko, so ill let it be.

tama sila sis, i think its rude to ask them to pay for their plus 1s. you can inform your friends/cousins na, you're on a budget, and that you're hoping that this will be an intimate event. they should understand naman kasi that's your day. di na dapat naiistress sa mga di dapat ikastress

Thanks mga sis! Hindi talaga sila kasama sa head count, naisip ko lang paano kung itanong or magpumilit. Pero baka hindi dahil ako pa naman ay known na magmaldita, so yun talaga yung unang lalabas sa bibig ko. It's either that or, "wala nga akong mainvite na friends kase madaming relatives eh!"

Naisip ko rin sis simang na the honeymoon isn't immediately after the wedding. Feeling ko lang kase super pagod ako after, like from all the stress and everything. Baka ang gusto gawin ko lang sa honeymoon e humilata. Fiance and I are walk a lot travellers pa naman!

We started at 400k for 150 pax, Now it ballooned to 550k because fiancee is no so willing to spend money for our wedding. Nung una ayoko eh, pero ako pa ba ang tatanggi haha

sis raia_1303, sa pagtitipid uhmmm basta yung mga stuffs na pwede i-diy ay id-diy namin... and yung gown ko, I can say na hindi over sa mahal kasi once lang naman gagamitin yun.. hindi na rin kami kukuha ng event at prenup stylist.. meron ako bride friend na walang stylist at yung mga props nia is diy lang, it went well naman..
Hindi kami nagtipid sa photo at sa make-up(aanhin ang magaling na photographer kung di naman maganda ang make-up).. hehe

For me ito yung mga items na tinipid ko:
gown (15k)= i don't want costly gown because I just have to use it once.
shoes = i used my old silver shoes, w/c I only used twice.  But I bought a new sneakers (3k) -the one I used in the reception, w/c I can use again
souvenirs = i have my photoboth kaya I only give gifts to my sponsors & suppliers.
bridal car = i rented a white car (5k for 10hrs) then just ordered from my florist bridal car flower ( much cheaper compared to bridal car packages)
coordinator = my relatives & friends
stylist= my caterer
bouquet = diy
invitations = only printed 50 copies, had a discount at the bridal fair

negotiable items:
p/v = affordable yet easy to coordinate and they have a very nice output
caterer = i see to it that the food is delicious, good thing nakakuha ako ng affordable but quality and good styling
makeup= asked my friend who is a hmua
rings= i wanted it simple but classy, got it for 18k (pair)

invites - diy, printing na lang and limited copies lang since pwede naman e-invites. after all, itatapon din naman to.
bridal car - we did not rent one since pwede naman humiram sa parents
stylist - we did not get one. DIY din will just go to tabora for props etc.
shoes - will just buy RTW like charles & keith para magagamit pa ulit.
florist - un cheap-mid range lang
photobooth - we did not get one din. we just don't find it necessary and mejo kulang na sa space ang venue ko dahil maliit [textspeak!].

after all that pagtitipid, we are still at about 550k for 180 pax.

Negotiable items ko sis madami.. like photobooth.. ok na sakun yung simple at usual na photobooth lang..bridal car, white sedan car lang kinuha ko basta makarating akong church..cake ko with candy buffet promo yun..invitations pinadesign ko lang so hanap nalang ng murang printing press..entourage gowns sa divi rin..nag invest ako ng sobra sa catering ko and photo video..
