Although i have a new korean friend sabi nya sabi ng mga matatanda they lost spring and fall days na daw....parang meaning nila nashorten na yung dapat spring and autumn months

Hello mga sis!

My husband and I are planning to spend our Christmas holidays in Seoul. Is it safe to go there ng winter? I'm referring to the snowfall. may nakita kasi ako sa youtube na medyo malakas yung snowfall.

Anybody here spent Christmas-New Year holidays in Seoul?

^sis we are planning also to spend the holidays there....but from what we asked the locals, they said na it hardly snows in december daw unless you go up the ski resorts....if para daw super sure may snow sa seoul jan-feb nalang daw....we want to experience jan1 din kasi there e... Prepare for 0 to-10 degrees weather daw that time

We're still in Seoul and tried finding the Banpo Bridge but to our dismay we can't and its our last night already.

Accdg to google option one is to go down to dongjak station and exit to 1 or 2 but we didn't find it.. Maybe going down from Express bus terminal is easier..

@fornarina: ay! sayang naman. di kasi kami pwede after New Year eh. so ok na yung Dec.24-28,2014 though wala pa kaming ticket, after the visa approval na lang. sana mag-snow.. or pag wala talaga, baka magpunta nga kami sa ski resort na lang.

^^sis glacy_rein exit 8-1 ng express bus terminal ang closest exit....although nung pabalik kami from the banpo bridge (along banpo-daero) may exit 4 na babaan (parang i saw gangnam underground shopping na sign) (nakadikit ito sa express bus shopping terminal)

Summarizing the trip masasabe ko madaling magcommute kung matyaga ka magcommute. Hehe! My mom is so lazy at walking and kept on complaining how tired she was 3 days naka-tour kame and then all else on our own na. Isa lang talaga ang hindi namen nakita, yang banpo bridge!!!

We stayed at Namsan Guesthouse 3 and very accessible nga sa Shopping district and subway. We found the doll shops that my sister was looking for and H&M (the love for H&M)

medyo pinas weather lang kaya ang init so next na balik dito winter na talaga, miss ko na snow.

Susulitin ko ang multiple visa ko. Babalik ako for sure. Mag-aabang muna ng murang flights, sana winter ulit. Sarap kasi ng malamig at saka snow!!!! Sino gusto sumama? hehe

Hi. Ask ko lang kung anong area mag stay pag ang target mamasyal lang sa paligid tapos malapit sa train station? First time ko kasi na kami lang ng daughter ko mga 4 days yun bago mag-join husband ko.


Baka may masuggest rin kayo na hotel kasi meron places talaga na d masyadong kid-friendly.

tama sis, we went there this year january, nag snow. sobrang lamig! -10 degrees! nabigla kami nung first day namin, kaya the next day full battle gear kami!

Sis coffee_art01: yung 2nd apply ko ng visa last April, binigyan ako ng multiple visa for 3 years. so happy! same process lang ginawa ko sa previous apply ko. tapos ayun na binigay sakin. hehe


Sis fornarina: Gusto ko bumalik ng January or February sana. makaabot lang sa snowfall baka sakali. Sarap kasi ng winter. Lamigin din ako eh pero keri lang haha. basta dapat may thermal wear ka. ako kasi yung mga coat ko may hood kaya madali magtakip pag nilalamig. bumili na rin ako ng ear muffs dati [textspeak!] ko pa nagagamit kaya gusto ko sana makapag Korea ng winter. hehe

@stormy: sa may Apple Backpackers kayo magstay. super lapit lang sa subway (Jongno Area) mababait pa yung mga receptionists. Malapit din yun sa mga top tourist spots, kayang lakarin.

^sis, kami din ni fiancé na grant ng multiple visa for three years just last Monday. I guess lenient sila ngayon. Sakto kasi pupunta kami this august and again in November. nagpabook pala ako s crib 49 kasi it was recommended by a friend. Nagulat  ako kasi Pinay Yung sumagot sakin. Saya lang, dun siya nago work

Mga Sis, help! For a first time SoKor visitor, would you recommend na mag avail kami ng tours dun or madali  na ba agad mag DIY tour?  If it's' the latter, San ba maganda mahanap ng mga ready tours? TIA

^Maganda rin mag-DIY tour. Mahirap kasi minsan sa tour group is yung hintayan. As long as alam mo exactly kung ano mga gusto mo puntahan, kaya yan.  Be on the lookout for discount vouchers din. For example, may discount voucher sa Hongdae Trick Eye Museum. I think mga 15,000won ang entrance doon pero may voucher na for 12,000won lang.
