We'll be traveling to Korea by October. And maayos na rin itinerary namin plus we plan to stay in Zaza backpackers. Although I need to get passport for my husband pa. And of course, visa most probably by September. Saan pala maganda magpapalit ng dollar sa Korea? Will 500 dollars be enough for 2 on a 4d/3n trip? No theme parks to visit, just the palace, nami island, and namsam tower.

@geekchiq: sa Insadong or Myeongdong ka magpapalit ng dollar. I suggest onti lang papalit mo sa airport just enough na makapagbayad ng airport limousine bus fare tapos punta ka Insadong. Mas malapit ata yang Zaza Backpackers sa Insadong. nakareserve na ba kayo ni hubby? okay din magstay sa Apple Backpackers.

sis pretty B, it rained on our 1st 2 days and the remaining 3 days were cloudy. It was chilly at night. Since our hotel is just near City Hall Station, we just walked to Cheonggyecheon Stream. I just  forgot the Exit no. sis pero it's just easy to find.

Hi sissies! We'll be travelling to Korea in Nov 11.. Got discounted airfare tickets around 7K each 2way air asia. Im trying to backread all replies to get details on our itinerary, parati DIY kame everytime nagtatravel and girltalk kas helped me alot when is the best time po pala to apply for a visa if our travel date is in Nov? and mas ok ba na unahin ang accomodation before visa app? Thanks sissies!

^hi sis 3 months before your travel pwede ka ng mag apply, pero pwede naman kahit 1 month before. Sa Namsan Guesthouse, nirerequire nila yung 1 month reservation.
Air Asia din kami last June 6-13.

Just sharing, mas masaya palang magshopping sa Ehwa lalo na kung pasara na stores, nagbibigay sila ng malaking discount.  Yong coat na nabili ko from 49000won ibinigay ng 30000won. May bag rin akong nabili na 39000won lang made in korea. Maaraming ring makakainan. First time naming pumunta don kagabi.

Going to Korean this coming November! This will be my 3rd time pero kakaiba parin ang excitement ko sa korea! Tapos naka book ulit ako next yr holywk.

Ang pinapabook ko lagi na accom, first few days sa Ann Guesthouse, then lipat sa last few days ng Namsan guesthouse.

i filed our visa last monday lang and got it after three days and we're leaving for July 3 na.

I have booked for Namsan din though nagiisip pa kame if lilipat paba pero mura na ang rates nila.

is it rainy or sunny??? Sale din pala ng whole July sa Korea?

Just got back from our South Korea (Business) Trip! : super happy kasi kahit we only have after office hours to enjoy the place and go shopping. nasulit naman namin! :>

DAY 1 - we arrived at the Pacific Hotel around 9:30pm, i guess so we just roam around Myeong-dong Shopping Center pero saglit lang kasi nagsasara na mga stores. i just thought na mala-24hrs open mga stores dun. hihi. For dinner we had, something like stir-fry pork. yung mga nasa tent lang sa streets. ang sarap! grabeeee! :>

DAY 2 - Yoeuido for business and Myeong-dong Shopping Center ulit para sa pasalubong. Free lunch is Bulgogi and something like Korean Mixed Grain Rice or Kongbap, i think. i love their "dessert" drink. one small cup lang un, red in color and mala-punch. i soooooo love the taste! nomnom!

DAY 3 - Yoeuido for business again. haha! Then our business partners there were kind enough to bring us to Han River/Park. Kita na from there ang 63 Building pero idk kung bakit sya known. hihi. Lunch is their Chicken Soup! ohmyyy. busog lusog dun! 1 whole chicken for a meal! :> it's like arrozcaldo here in the philippines pero whole chicken sya stuffed with rice. mejo wala lang lasa pero enough na ang asin at paminta panglasa. haha. After office, we went to Namsan Tower and had "the best burger in seoul". haha. they claimed to be the best eh. :>

DAY 4 - Yoeuido for business again and again. hahaha! Then for lunch we went to IFC mall for a western dish. we had burgers and pasta. we then visit Yoeuido Park. At night, we went to Itaewon and had dinner at The Gampling! ganda ng concept ng restaurant na un, infairness!

DAY 5 - free day! we had our half-day "city tour". we went to jogyesa buddhist temple, gyeongbokgung palace, folk museum of korea, seoul amethyst (store) and myeong-dong cathedral. For lunch, we had their noodles (idk the name) basta noodles with ground pork toppings and dumplings pero chicken yung soup! saraaap! :> it's at an old restaurant around Myeong-dong!

We always go shopping at Myeong-dong since andun ang hotel namin. sulit sa foodtrip at makeup freebies! haha. Madami din kaming hindi napuntahan, but i think its enough since limited lang talaga time namin. sulit na din! :>

We also went to M Plaza for the Hanbok Experience but only on the last day kaya nagahol sa time. sayang di ko natry. We also plan to go to Cheonggyecheon Stream pero lagi na kasi kaming napapagod around 10pm. di na kaya ng powers namin! hahaha.

Just got back, super sarap ng weather nung weekend. Just enough wind even nasa 27-30's since around 60% yung humidity ok na vs our 90% humidity here...at night minsan nag18 degrees din thankfully it didnt't rain naman... this time stayed in jamsil....not an ideal place to stay talaga since lotte world, lotte hotel lang nasa vicinity nya, better parin talaga magstay north of the river. 

@halee what time nagcclose sa ehwa? Kasi nung last time nagpunta kami jan wala kaming nashop kaya discouraged kami bumalik jan. We preferred dongdaemun, express bus terminal sa shopping

We went to banpo bridge nung sat night, may tech glitch ata hindi makulay yung lights super nadisappoint kami, and ang layo ng lakad from subway exit, m really amazed by how the local girls there are able to walk around in 4-5 inch heels! Tapos we went to gangnam hanggang nasaraduhan na kami ng subway.

If you are fans of the drama "my love from another star" a must talaga yung exhibit in dongdaemun plaza (thanks to sis esor for the recommendation)

Saw the exchange rate sa dongdaemun nasa 1000 ang USd

Before catching the airport bus i just had to pass by insadong, and grab my cafe latte from italy coffee. I don't know yun talaga yung coffee na binabalik balikan ko lol

^sis so mas mainit pa din sa Pilipinas kesa sa Korea? Paalis na kame sa thursday hindi ko alam kung anong bibitbitin ko.. mas ok din magdala ng umbrella?

sa mga nagstay sa namsan 3 myeongdong station ang malapit na train dun, right sisses?? thanks!

^yes sis , malapit lang sa subway ang Namsan GH 3, pabago bago pa din weather sa Seoul, better bring umbrella , pero nagpapahiram dun sa Namsan GH ng umbrella.

^^yes sis mas super humid dito than dun, although hindi pa ata full blast dun ng summer so hindi ko lang sure....pero masarap parin weather nung weekend at hindi umulan...i brought my small umbrella din para sure...puro shorts at dresses lang kami baon nlng ng shawl at night coz umabot ng 18degrees nung fri night...pabago bago weather forecasts i downloaded accuweather sa phone ko most of the time accurate naman
