- Max Tiu (25k; super love him pero hindi kami chinese wedding so baka di sulit?)
- Francis Day (no rate yet)
- Atom Ungson (22k)
- Drew Arellano (no rate yet)
X Mallory Cosio (13k; Fiance thought her accent is too thick and sounds pilit, almost parang teacher na, turnoff sa guests)
X Missy Ferrer (16k; She tends to go overboard when she raises her voice, high-pitched in an annoying gameshow way)
X Joy Catubig (12k; recommended by one of the OTDs I met so i thought i had it in the bag. I saw her videos and found her too jologs though, more like a birthday party host. Plus, she calls herself Juizy. And announces it at the wedding! Ayayay RIP class. BTW the OTD is Sheena of SMA and I also decided not to book her because based on her reco suppliers hindi lang yata ako ang target market nya)

Anyone else we should consider? I am more impressed by male hosts usually vs. female ones since they tend to do it in a more natural way without being too boring, kumbaga classy padin. We really want a classy host with a sense of humor. Budget is 10-25k (kasi if more than 25k then i might as well get the master Max Tiu). Thanks!

natawa lang ako sa nabasa ko no offense pero have you ever worked on these hosts or even attended any of their wedding events??? just wondering... maybe they do only got few clips online but it doesnt mean ganyan na ang quality ng trabaho nila. lets not judge kung di pa natin sila nakakatrabaho, nakikita ng actual ang style nila... its your opinion anyway. it counts and i guess kung nababasa nila ito natatawa na lang sila

so nice to backread.. am looking for a wedding host kasi for my cousin  but my favorite in this list was booked already! i wouldn't come across on this thread kung pwede pa sya...

I have a question about Darlene Tan Salazar. Does she speak straight English while hosting? Heheh I can only find 1 video of her hosting online and while it is good it isn't 100% what we are looking for since there was some Taglish and prefer something more toned down. However Ive read here that she adjusts to the client's preferences.

If I do get her is it OK lang for me to make those requests? Dyahe ako to tell her no Taglish and to tone the energy down a bit, and all that heheh

We have a host in mind already, who is a friend of H2B and is a news anchor and pro emcee. However my hesitations are that since we are asking the friend to host as a favor, I will have to provide him with  as script-- which I am not looking forward to writing myself! Also we wont know till perhaps a few months before if he will be able to host or not as he might have a live news show to do. =( =( My coordinator said sayang daw its better if we can get that friend to host our wedding. But then again, whaaaaaaa kakatamad to make a script, although our program naman is super simple with no games whatsoever and just opening prayer, cake cutting, speeches, and 1st dance.

sis chili, just an idea... what if you book DTS as a backup emcee? prior to the wedding, you can discuss with her na the program that you can use. then if your news anchor friend confirms he's available, you can cancel na on DTS. or if you feel na you want to push thru with her, at least reserved pa rin your date. her dp is just 4k, i think its worth it if you can have na a peace of mind. suggestion lang naman

Chili, since your program is super simple, maybe it's worth asking your friend if they could give you a basic script to start with? They're a pro emcee naman so chances are they already have a few scripts lying around. And then you can just edit it, so less stress?

By the way, it's good to know someone else who's planning a super simple program. I didn't want games or anything and we're not even having a cake, so it's literally just going to be the first dance and the speeches. lol.

Napanood ko na si Mallory, hindi naman teacher style, super galing nga nya. Hindi scripted magsalita , great diction and for me mas magaling sya kay Atom and Francis Day. Si Ms. Joy Catubig naman is not jologs to start with, even though she's telling people na Juizy ang aka nya, she delivered it well with class naman. Nakukuha naman nya all ages ng guests. Based on my observations naman to since napanood ko na sila talaga maghost. Favorite ko si Mallory and Ms. Joy interms of professionalism and magaling talaga sila sobra. People will stay up until the end of the program talaga. Im sure yun naman talaga ang goal ng mga kinakasal diba. Pansin ko kapag male host, may mga intonations lang sila na nakakagulat , paiba-iba sila ng boses.

^ Ive searched for their hosting videos and I liked JC and Atom Have u attended a wedding hosted by JC? Fun and lively rin ba sya maghost? Parang ngayon ko lang kasi siya narinig.. Atom naman seems to be expensive as you said Did u get him?

^Sis i think JC has videos din online. I've seen him speak na, very classy although sandali lang so not sure how "lively" you're expecting. Pag formal kasi hinahanap mo then usually talagang mas toned down, classy maghost ala Atom amd JC, pag fun and lively parang mas the likes of sila Mallory ba ibig mo sabihin? Medyo magkaiba yun e. But the ones i mentioned will be similar to Atom, they will maintain the formality of the event. Check din RJ Ledesma and Max Tiu. Basta ang sure ko hindi magiging baduy reception mo

^Yay! Boto ako any of them sis (lalo na Atom, JC, Lia). Glad I was able to help. Looks like we have the same taste! JC's vows during his wedding were also delivered spectacularly. I clearly have a type.
Having gone through so many videos we also realized we prefer a male host though, because some female hosts become high-pitched when they try to be lively/fun and we find it more annoying than fun-sounding. The guys are often more controlled and formal... If that's what you're looking for.
There are ways naman to make the program interesting without becoming like showtime.. I am sure they still can. BTW i was super glued to a recent wedding i attended si Max Tiu naman, he delivers really well too and formal padin and I was not bored at all bec i was paying attention to him
