During my wedding preps I was eyeing on the following hosts/emcees:

1. Joy Catubig a.k.a Juicy Catz
2. Ellen Celis-Timbol
3. Michie Lantajo

Ranked in preference order ko yan pero unfortunately lahat sila unavailable on my wedding day and wala na din time so I ended up having my partner's friend lol.

Ms. Joy was my WC's recommendation then sa youtube pa lang na videos nya natuwa na ko kasi she can host and sing beautifully at the same time. She offers different packages starting from 7k and if bundled with her lights and sounds team it will be 15k and if with more effects it is around 18k though from our email exhange discounted rate na yan. She explained it very well why she prefers her own dj/spinner and L & S team na kuhanin with the bundle kasi sakto lahat sa scoring and sanay na sila sa timing at punchline ng isa't isa though not required naman so if hosting lang then ibang supplier for L & S okay lang din sa kanya. Sa mga interested check nyo na lang din sa kanya kasi baka iba na rates nya ngayon.

Ms. Ellen naman is very nice to talk to pero unavailable na din on my wedding day heheh not sure what her rates are at the moment pero 2011 or 2012 I think 3 or 4k and according sa w@w clients nya and other blogs I've read she can sing well too and very lively ang event.

Ms. Michie was recommended by a friend way back early 2014 nung start pa lang ng preps ko and honestly di ko na naalala dahil sa kabusyhan at may iba na ko nakuha for our wedding until I attended a recent wedding na siya pala ang host at nag enjoy ako at mga guests kasi she can adjust well sa audience lalo na that event may kids, yuppies and oldies. She handled the event creatively and when I asked a friend about her rate it is 6k and with her performance sulit then kumanta din siya for the couple.

If only I can bring back time I would have gone for one of them or others na recommended at nag-book ako earlier hahaha! Nothing against hubby's friend pero the program could have been a lot better. Goodluck sa mga searching pa lang and hope you all find the best. After all, isa yan sa mga major na magdadala ng event para di ma bored at umalis ng maaga ang guests.

I contacted Eri through FB lang, i believe the rate he gave me was 35k for out of town.

In so many words, hehe yes sis that is what i meant about not liking the hosting style. I did not elaborate na so as not to offend some sisses here who really like or have booked them already (Missy/ Mallory). Kanya kanya naman ng trip. But yes, i think after hearing their sample videos i immediately wanted a guy host because i dont want to be hearing any shrieking or fake accents at the reception.. makes me cringe so what more the guests.

^i agree with you sisters! We also chose a male emcee for our wedding. I paid only 3,500. And i did not regret it because he was able to do everything that we asked of him and was able to give the kind of hosting treatment that we wanted for our reception. No sleazy jokes, no cheesy intros but only simple but appropriate acknowledgements for our PS. No sleazy games, only clean fun.no baduy music for the games.

^it's the other way around for us.. we attended a wedding in December and the couple had a male host.. who was super boring and dry.. he looks good naman and presentable pero nalalamyaan kami.. my hubby keeps on telling me to get a good one pag turn na namin.

For those who's still looking for their host.. Try Franco Mabanta. Not sure if you remember him but he's Jasper from the Coke commercial way back 2000s. He's one of the wittiest talaga na nakikala ko. Witty-funny. He can be very formal too, but not boring. We didn't book him though. But his rates are very reasonable.
