On Emcees or Wedding Hosts (part 3)

Just had our initial meeting with our emcee and everything went fine so far. Everything we've talked about made me more excited!    4 months to goooo...

I've seen both Darlene & Atom on different weddings. In my opinion, both of them are effective but I think they have different crowd. Darlene's crowd may not be impressed with Atom and vice versa. So I think you have to know if their style would be suitable for your community. But not replying is not good at all.

Thanks sa inputs mga sis!! What kind of crowd ang suitable for then? Gusto ko sana yun style na medyo formal, fluent but still fun and lively.

But I think ill have to go with Darlene. Mabilis sya magrespond, We have exchanged couple of messages and she sounds nice and friendly I also like her package. ill just finalized my target venue and will book her right away!!! Hahaha!! Excited lang. I hope hindi ako magsisi..

^one thing na I think they're good at doing is flexibility regardless of what crowd they've got. trust me sis you'll never go wrong with dts.

I asked my coordinator's help/opinion in booking my host. nung una kasi i'm thinking I will just ask a friend to to this, but my coordinator advised na better let my friend enjoy and just hire an emcee.  oo nga naman.

So after discussing what i want for the wedding, the general vibe na laidback lang, she asked if i wanted male or female.  I said i wanted a gay (sorry if not politically correct ang term) host. for some reasons, mas type ko talaga. di naman yung bakya na loud na parang stand up comedy na, but atleast yung makakasabay sa crowd namin, kasi tamang kulit yung mga bisita namin.

And there, I've booked my host for 6k.

Juizy or Joy Catubig all the way! Grabe [textspeak!] wedding namen sobrang saya dahil sa kanya kahit isang malaking failure ang nakuha naming caterer hindi nalang napansin dahil sa galing nya. Super saya! I suggest you get her..kung gusto nyong tumatak sa tao ang wedding nyo.

she agreed to meet us during one of her events. i love her! she's so nice in person and pretty pa. usually, her pre-booking meetings daw are done via skype or facetime lang pero pumayag naman siya when we asked for us to meet in person. she gave us her upcoming schedule and let us choose kung kelan kami pwede.

we had our meeting sa venue before the reception started. in that short amount of time, ang dami ko ng natutunan sa kanya about suppliers and wedding preps. then she let us watch the program while she's hosting. syempre dun lang kami sa labas pero we can see and hear her naman from outside. we didn't have to stay for long because we were so impressed already. straight english but not uptight. she jokes and laughs but still classy. not too eager but not boring. she's exactly what we were looking for. so glad we got too meet her and im so excited to work with her on the wedding.

^well done sis bzbee!! I didn't have the chance to experience the same but with all the feedbacks I've read about her before, I was easily convinced too. I had my first meeting with her over skype and she's lovely.

We did not find dts that expensive naman sis... Madami akong nabasa na higher ang rates sa kanya. Also, when you get her as your emcee, parang may 2nd otd ka kasi super dami nyang tips to share when it comes to wedding preps. Done na wedding naming pero i still follow her wedding tips in fb! Hehe, i still enjoy reading thru it

Hi sis twinxz!  Sis Wabbypretty is correct.  DTS' rate is affordable compared sa ibang emcees na napagtanungan ko.  I'm very much happy with DTS kasi she gives a lot of ideas about my wedding preps & advise nung nagkaron ako ng problem sa isang supplier.  We booked her without setting up a meeting with her, not even a skype meeting.  Nag-base lang ako sa mga reviews about her.  I would suggest email mo siya directly for her current rates.  Mabilis naman siya magreply.  What I've got is yung rate na sinend niya saken last April pa so baka nagbago na ngayon.

^ agree!! inquire ka lang sis mabilis siya mag reply. its like having her as a 2nd coordinator is true. hindi siya madamot sa info and actually kahit hindi mo siya kunin as a host she still answers questions about weddings.

mallory cosio did a great job during our wedding. she has very good diction, and she made it seem like we've known each other for a long time. there were several people who asked us if we knew the host personally, the hosting style was intimate. she was spontaneous and fun during the games too.

hosts/emcees are crucial talaga. there were no lulls, and the program flow was perfect.

Booked dts too! Nakaktuwa sya. Kasi nung wala pa kaming otd, lahat ng tungkol sa wedding sinasagot nya, supplier recommendations, etc. tapos there was a time na nagtanong ako sa kanya sa fb, nagulat ako kasi tumawag pa sya para mas maexplain yung reason nya. Kaya na,an from then on i know were in good hands. Sobrang may malasakit talga sya sa clients nya. Well have our meeting siguro by april. Excited to meet her in person! Yay! And good thing na maganda ang tandem nila ng kredin events engineer.☺️

i had a meeting/finalization with my OTD/emceem(one of the GT member din) and she's really nice. super positive ang feedback ko sa kanya though it's our first formal meeting pero parang gaan nya kausap at ka-deal. she gave me a lot of ideas about what's going to happen with my wedding. kaya super excited na ko sa wedding ko this april.

Mine sis is vana de leon barja. She is our otd and host as well. She is good, i saw her na din sa wedding ng friend ko ans magaling sya.
