Sis!! Do you have other videos of Darlene? Ang daming good reviews about her pero 1 video lang nakita kong nkaupload.

What about Atom Ungson? Ive seen his video, he's good but he didnt respond nung naginquire ako.. Suplado! Oh well.. He's not the only one. Darlene replied agad, but she doesnt want to share other vids :(

sis ang alam ko kay atom ungson, sa management nya ikaw cocontact, hindi sya kanya personally. dati kasi tinext ko lang yung management nya (parang Angels ang name?), sumagot naman. that time it was 15k.

di talaga nagsheshare ng vid madalas ng mga emcee kasi pag nakita, minsan ginagaya ang style.. they want to limit their competitors..

i booked our emcee last year and made the downpayment. i asked for the contract before i left the country, but he said no worries he'll be our host. come yesterday i messaged him sa fb saying lapit na wedding namin (on the 26th na),see you! no reply.

then my coordinator called me this afternoon informing me that emcee would no longer host our event because he overlooked our conversation before and thought ours was cancelled and booked another client. i don't know how or why he thought we cancelled.maybe my fault because i didn't follow up about the contract.well i had to work and think not only our wedding. and besides i asked and he gave me his word.

my coordinator said she has a good replacement. pencil booked him and we'll meet him on our final meeting on the 11th. hope everything will work out well. lapit na kami kasi...well emcee will just give my downpayment back. stress lang talaga inabot ko sa kanya.

Yes, don't forget to follow up regularly and make sure everything is documented through email. This happened to me too today. I cried a bucket and now panicking. Different circumstance but similar. Booked one of the most favorite wedding host here and at w@w last May 6, a year before our wedding this May 9. She's the second i booked amongst all my suppliers, next only to church. Now 3 months before the wedding i thought of getting in touch again to start aligning the program. She replied my email with an apology saying she thought i wasn't pursuing her anymore and booked another wedding. To my horror and disbelief, i called her immediately, tears just fell and i choked as i talk to her explaning we had previous conversation of the confirmation documented through SMS. Bottom line, nothing i can do. The contract i have is only signed by me and not her yet. Besides, I don't wanna break another bride's heart and put her in the same agony as i am now. So moral lesson girls, even if you already made the confirmation through SMS that you already deposited the DP and that you replied through email that yes you are confirmed, if your fiance forgot to email the bank receipt you can get bumped off and totally not know you've lost a supplier. It's partly my fault because i should have emailed the bank deposit and contract myself. i just feel bad that her knowing i already confirmed with her and she's aware i made the deposit, she didn't bother verifying to me first before booking another. For someone known for being very OC, it's disappointing not being noted on her calendar. Ironically, my second prioritized supplier will become my last. Back on the hunt for the right wedding host. She's atleast trying to help me find a new one. But, oh well!

^this is so sad sis.. when you told her that you made a deposit, did she replied? Sana if you have a copy of that conversation you can forward that to her.. did you get your down payment back? I hope you get to find another host soon. :)

sisses, parang thread na ito ni Darlene ah? hehe! was wondering may feedback/videos ba kayo kay ayie as host? I know okay syang coord with her imbitado events team kasi umaapaw ang good reviews, pero paano sya as host? aaminin ko, I booked her and kbyc blindly without any meetups bcos of the reviews here and in other blogs.

Prettydessa: You mean you already paid a reservation fee to secure the slot of the emcee, and she still booked someone else? Gosh that is just so unprofessional, and I would freak out. Isn't that what reservation fees are for? To secure the date?

^apparently,  the couple failed to send a copy if the deposit slip..which was suppose to finalise the reservation..and there wasn't any communication between the two parties between those periods. As clients, it's our responsibility to secure all pertinent document that we require to secure a slot from our chosen supplier. There are shortcomings on both sides though, but it could have been prevented if they complied with the main requirement.

^I get that, but I am just surprised that the emcee didn't contact the 1st party first to confirm before booking someone else. I think that it is simply unprofessional.

But you're right that belle_v2g that there were shortcomings on both sides, but I feel the supplier is more at fault because she already received some payment. But point taken, and I will be more careful in booking my suppliers. I always email the deposit slip right away to the supplier and my preferred mode of communication is via email so that our conversations are documented better that sms. However, I have to admit that sometimes it takes me a while to email back the signed contract.

Thanks prettydessa for sharing this learning experience of yours. You are so kind-hearted to let it go and not throw a fit hehe.  Swerte the other bride because you gave up your reserved slot as you didn't want to give her any heartache. I wish you all the best!

^Yes, I feel sad for sis prettydessa too for what happened, it's hard especially if the supplier is one of the most sought-after wedding host. Always bear in mind that we we should be aware of our "responsibilities" as clients. The down payment especially the "contract" is the most essential proof to finalise a booking since this is also used for legal purposes.  In prettydessa's case, even the contract wasn't even returned.
Friendly advise to our sissies here, pLease do not assume that everything is final til both of you signed that piece of paper, always communicate with your suppliers and do not wait for like 9 months without hearing from each other and expect that the supplier would run after you afterwards. On the first place, we are the one who needs them. :)

Sad naman it could have been prevented from happening :-[

I'm curious though, is the reservation fee minimal enough for the supplier not to notice an increase in her account? If it's a "business" you'd expect being mindful of what goes in and what goes out hmmm.

If you have lots of clients, you wouldn't know who paid and who didn't unless they sent a proof diba. I have experienced din kasi coz we have a philippine bank with online account , it wouldn't specifically indicate where the money came from. I understand that mahirap na situation to especially 3 months before the wedding na lang. Really sad.

I've seen both Darlene & Atom on different weddings. In my opinion, both of them are effective but I think they have different crowd. Darlene's crowd may not be impressed with Atom and vice versa. So I think you have to know if their style would be suitable for your community. But not replying is not good at all.

Hi sis andeegirlxoxo!  You can check RJ Ledesma.  He was in my shortlist pero out of budget kaya we booked Darlene.   You can also check Francis Day.  He was recommended by my high school classmate.  Hindi na ako nag-inquire kasi we booked Darlene na.

We will be having EJ Alonzo for our Beach Wedding in Acuatico this April and his rate is 12k including transpo fee. I think he has an event this valentines day sa The Fort, pwede mo rin check. We had a meeting with him last week and he is super cool! He can be formal and funny at the same time (with class) and to be honest, we never got bored talking to him. He asked us naman how we want it to be and he is okay with it.
