Hi girls query lang.. is it ok to get the same host for your event? Ive atte :)nded my officemate's wedding last sat, and nagulat ako un host nya isa sa option ko maghost for my wedding. Problem ko lang baka same program ang mangyari, we have same circle of friends din kasi. Should i go or let go? Hehe. TIA!

IMO, okay lang na pareho kayo ng emcee ng friend mo. yes, they do have a standard template for the program. pero ikaw maglalagay ng mga ideas, activities dun. personalized pa rin ang program mo. like sa case namin, as in malayo yung magiging flow ng program namin based dun sa template na binigay niya. HTH

i was able to talk to mallory na, and i've read the powerpoint. all i can say is at this point is, i'm retaining mallory as my wedding host.

Ive seen all of that. Im even friends with bride 2. It was actually a pure misunderstanding (warfreak issue) that was brought to social media and was taken out of context.  Bride 2 was all praises pa nga with her. It doesnt affect naman her hosting skills.whatever approach she has in posting her status in FB is entirely different naman once you deal with her in person. Ive seen her in one event and shes really good. Dont worry about the negative comments. it will eventually die down.  Professional naman ang relationship ninyo. You'll be ok. (Im not a mallory bride ha, Darlene bride ako). I'll be seeing Mallory next week sa isang wedding ng w@wie. and alam ko invited din nga si bride 2 don. bride 2 has a new emcee na. so ok na yun 

OT lang: naalala ko bigla si Darlene. I booked her more than one year before our wedding. She was still a coordinator back then and had bookings. nalaman ko, yung isang bride niya na binook siya as coord, nag change ng date! sa same date ng wedding ko! You know what Darlene did? She hired another coord for that bride. (the wedding pa nga was featured in several blogs). Pero never ko na feel kay Darlene na least important ako. She still went to that couple's wedding pero left before their reception to host ours. Super natouch talaga ako sa ginawa niya. and based on that couple's feedback, super grateful sila kay Darlene for being there despite conflict of sched.

pinagiisipan pa namin eh.  imho parang sobra yung pagka funny nya eh.  gusto sana namin is medyo light lang na medyo may pagkaformal ng kaunti.  mix of funny and formal pero both on the lighter side sana.

^nakapanood na ako ng event ni ms. joy and i would disagree na "sobra" ang pagkafunny. in fact, most of the guests were oldies pa na professionals and they stayed glued sa programme dahil sa kanya. napapatayo pa sila to take pictures and very conservative karamihan sa mga yun (lalo na my aunt who was one of the VIPs). masaya ang programme pero hindi comedy bar ang dating. nasa inyo din naman kasi yan kasi the couple has all the say pa din sa ayaw at gusto nila mangyari. sad lang kasi hindi na sya available sa date namin.

sis shrek250190 ako din.. yun ang opinion ko sa mga youtube vids niya.  when i read here in GT that joy is really good, na-excite akong kunin siya.. pero nung napanood ko vids sa youtube niya, medyo hindi yun ang ine-expect ko for a wedding.. yung hosting niya kase sa vids, parang nasa bar.. alam mo yun, bar then merong band then nagho-host si female vocalist.. parang ganun ang dating.. parang medyo nawala yung formality ng event which is wedding. our music pa naman is quartet, hindi yung CDs na party party.. pero baka nga naman kase hindi na-capture yung formal part, kase konti lang naman ang vid niya sa youtube.. kaya any inputs or feedback from previous clients ng mga hosts would be very much appreciated..

You may also try Mr. Badz Gacuma. He is a singer and a host and he personalizes wedding programs para unique and may mga twists. He takes care of developing the reception program along with the couple and he sings well din. He happens to be the Chief Planner and Coordinator of The Wedding Bachelors by Chuck, an all-male coordination team.

Check niyo sa youtube yung hosting video niya, just search for Chuck Gacuma Hosting. He also responds to client inquiries quick tapos adaptable attitude, helpful sa clients niya kasi medyo OC siya. Nice modulation of voice and communication is also very good.

Has anyone tried or witnessed a wedding hosted by Badz or Chuck Gacuma of The Wedding Bachelors?

I think he has a youtube.com video. Just type and search for Chuck Gacuma Hosting, if I am not mistaken.

He is a wedding coordinator, planner and a singing host. Formal to semi-formal hosting with clean jokes, depende sa audience and hosting stupyle na gusto ng client. He also suggests a lot of ideas and twists to your program para personalized. You can also request songs for him to sing. Look him up on Facebook.

Hi sissies!  2016 bride here.  I've done my shortlist for OTD and now emcees naman.  So far, shortlisted ko si Darlene & will have to backread previous threads to get more insights.  I've emailed Joy Catubig and she was quick to reply naman kaso when I checked her videos, parang wala yung this is it feeling.  If you can suggest anyone sis, that would be much appreciated   TIA

I'm still contemplating if I were going to hire an emcee on our big day. I know I need one to make sure na maganda and hinde boring ang program during reception but...limited lang kase ang budget ko. Mga magkano ba ang range for the emcee? My reception venue will be in Tagaytay.
