I'm checking around geylang area yun hotel.  Kasi dun medyo mura eh.

try hotel 81 or fragrance hotel in geylang. mura mga ito and ok naman kaso ang liit ng rooms. we've tried hotel 81 in geylang years ago and ok naman. we booked online. andami hawker stalls dyan. kaso parang red light district ang geylang pag gabi pero safe mag lakad unlike dito sa atin. nakakatawa tingnan ang mga girls nasa kalye, daming gimik. anyway may mrt naman so travel and distance were never a hassle for us. btw, andaming hotel 81 sa geylang. every street ata meron. if ever you decide to stay here, choose lang the street nearest to the mrt.

^ sa pagtitingin-tingin ko dun nga mura. kaso ayoko kasi red light district nga, may kasama kami bata. me nabasa kasi ko na minsan, rinig na rinig mo yung me "ginagawa" next room kasi manipis yung walls ng room. ang hirap i-explain nun sa bata, kaya wag na lang.

They're both worth watching din naman. Achaka siempre mas maganda yung show ng Wings of Time compared to the one at Gardens by the Bay

possible ba ang sneak in sa mga hotels sa singapre? hehe

Thanks sissy! I choose Hotel 81 Gold mas malapit sya sa Aljunied. Pero di ko pa nabobook. Uo nga red light disctrict sya pero keri lang kelangan maging praktikal kasi most of the time naman nasa labas kailangan lang talaga matulugan at may sariling bathroom hirap din kasi kun sharing.

@mhin, been to SG a lot of times, pero ito lang ang alam ko (at lagi naming binabalikan kasi):

Sentosa Island (length depending on which attractions you wanna go to, marami kasi)
Sentosa (marami-rami ring gagawin dito)
Universal Studios (if going on a weekday na hindi marami ang tao, kaya to ng 10am to 3pm)
SEA Aquarium (parang Ocean Park)
Adventure Cove Waterpark (hindi ko pa to napupuntahan dahil promise ko lang na puntahan ito pag sa Sentosa ako magse-stay... Haha)
Pauwi, pwede na kayong dumaan sa VivoCity bago ito magsara.

Zoological Gardens (1 whole day kung lahat pupuntahan mo, medyo malayo kasi ito)
Singapore Zoo - day zoo, which is nice pero mahaba-habang lakaran ito para ma-explore lahat. I like animals, so I love this zoo! Hehe.
River Safari - honestly, haven't been here but I'd love to see it. May pandas daw dito.
Night Safari - night zoo, I think opens at 7PM. It's different, but pretty disappointing for me... If you're going to choose one zoo, go to the Singapore Zoo na lang.

Helix Bridge - lakad (?) going to...
Esplanade (preferably madilim na, so you can watch the lights show)

If you wanna party, walk along the river (or take a taxi na) going to Clarke Quay
*If I'm not mistaken, pwede mo ring sadyain yung Flyer from Marina Bay?

Jurong Bird Park - malayo din ito

Orchard Road - the place to go shopping; may H&M! Though magkakaroon na rin dito next week... Hehe.

Bugis - may ala "Greenhills" na shopping area dito called "Bugis Street". You can buy souvenirs there, though I don't know if that's the place to get the cheapest generic souvenirs. There are also malls around this area.
Little India - Meron ditong 24-hour shopping complex called Mustafa. I was really amazed sa place na yun. Parang lahat ata andun.

Chinatown - this is near Clarke Quay. If I'm not mistaken, may mga bilihan din naman ata ng pasalubong dito. Tapos meron ding malls. And hawker.

Ayun. Medyo tourist-y yung places since I've only been to those (dahil tourist lang ako most of the time) sa Singapore and I haven't lived there naman.

For the Marina Bay, Esplanade, Merlion walking tour ... paano po ba ang magandang pagkakasunod sunod.  Our hostel is in Chinatown..so paano kami pupunta dun?

^If I'm not mistaken, there's an MRT from Chinatown going to Bayfront station. You can check via gothere.sg (just type in your hostel). For alternative modes (bus), you can check that site too.

Last 2013, we also stayed near Chinatown, pero mas malapit sa river, so we just walked from our hostel to Merlion Park, to Marina Bay Sands Skypark (we skipped Esplanade then), but by that time sobrang pagod na kami, considering na first day pa lang yun.

Meron bang beauty stores here that sells original branded make ups and perfumes at a lower srp price? Yun parang si Lung Shing sa Hongkong. Been looking for brands like korean bb creams (laneige, skinfood), shampoo like tsubaki, make up like ysl mac, perfumes. Thanks.

we stayed in strand hotel nung sept. 2012.  7 adults and 1 toddler kami. kinuha namin yung nag-iisang room nila na good for 7 pax.  may 3 double beds and 1 single bed. may sala pa sa isang corner.  sulit para sa aming family kasi cheaper than getting several rooms. yun nga lang hintayan kayo sa shower. pero since laidback trip naman kami, di naman kami gahol sa oras. tapos ang ginagawa ng iba kapag naka-shower na, kakain naman ng free breakfast.  hindi sya bonggang hotel. siguro 3-star lang siya. pero comfortable naman ang stay namin at walking distance sya papuntang dhouby ghout station ba yun? pero nearest station niya is yung bras basah hindi bugis station. parang nandon na nga sya sa boundary ng orchard area instead na bugis area.   may 7-11 sa tapat and malapit sa exit ng bras basah. may kopitiam pa. convenient talaga sya nung nag-stay kami.

@kady_14 sis kami nakabook sa hotel 81selegie. Family room kinuha namin dalawang queen bed yun. Walang sumagot sa tanong ko dito kung ok location nya. Based sa pagkaintindi ko sa location nya mukhang ok naman hehe. Try mo na lang icheck

finally booked V Hotel Lavender for our accommodation next month via Agoda. salamat na lang at meron silang pay later option hehe

hi mga sis, we plan to buy our USS ticket thru travel agency (Travel Delight), then may free shuttle na din sila from our hostel but they mention they need to collect SGD4/person para sa entrance sa Sentosa.

Need pa po ba namin ng entrance ticket sa Sentosa?  TIA...
