^ yup, ok lang if you have double lock/deadbolt.

But now na we don't have a helper, sobrang convenient ng fingerprint sensor. Only thing you have to make sure lagi sya may battery. Especially the kids can forget, once they come home, wala ako and if they forget the keys, we will be in a dilemma.

Nako sis, I agree with you. Quality pa din ang sukatan eh. You'll never know kasi kung yung binili mong unit na mura eh mapapamahal ka pa, until mangyari na sa yo yun.

I am living in a condo with my family and I thought it's just okay but now that almost everyone left home I realized that most of the time, our fights are mostly because of the small space we live in. Plus, it's annoying whenever my dad buys and buys things like he instantly forgets that we are living in a small house. But it's a perk to love in a condo because it's much safer for me, especially here in the Philippines.

Growing up in a big house back in the province - talagang masikip sobra to live in a condo. With 2 kids around and a maid, no space to breathe. You can hardly furnish your house, kasi nga walang space.  :(

Plus same price na ng house and lot sa BF ang nakuha namin, 6.6 M for a 2 bedroom. :(

I've been living in various condo units (renting) since I moved out of my parents' house due to work.
Now, I'm married and we have a small family and its bound to grow bigger. My kid is only 3yrs old and may yaya kami and there was a time na we were really planning on buying a house.
Pero I also grew up in the south of metro manila. When I was growing up, we were renting lang rin in small apartments. We moved to our own house Grade 4 na ako.
So now I realize, while my kids are small, condo muna kami. And by small, I mean hindi pa sila high school. That gives us around 13+ more years.
So now, we bought a 100sqm condo. Cityland sa Makati Buendia. We've been renting different units here for years and honestly, maganda ang management. Guards dont slack off. Cleaning is done regularly pati floor ng parking lot nililinis ng tubig regularly. Bihira ako makakita ng ipis na malaki kasi they are conscious about pest control. They test our water supply every year ata and tell the tenants if pumasa or hindi and they fix it right away. Small pool and a basic gym lang ang meron pero ok narin kasi weekly (or 2x a week ata) ang cleaning. Earthquake seminars, Firedrill and seminars, halloween trick or treat parties and xmas party yearly. Madali kausap ang admin and and daming small establishments sa baba lang ng condo (spas, salons, 7-11, MiniStop, daming carinderia, stores, internet shops, hardware, drug store, etc). Katapat lang namin Hypermart. We're a couple of blocks away from Makati Med.
Seriously, ayaw na namin umalis dito, haha. Maliit ang space compared to a house, yes. Pero mas importante right now sa amin ang time that we will be granted to spend with our kids kasi iwas traffic. Imagine, we can actually walk home if super traffic.
And high-rise building so maraming cons (like and LAKI ng real estate tax, minsan dami tao sa elevator, you worry about earthquakes, etc etc).

For now, this makes sense for us. The space constraint is a sacrifice for time, convenience and safety. If my husband and I continue working and don't splurge all the time, in 10 years baka bayad na namin'toh and we can start na on our dream home :) *cross fingers*

Yes, unless you get high end ones, you will really need to sacrifice space for convenience.

Been here a couple of years now and we're still as happy as we were when we moved in :) Ibang tao pa nagrereklamo sa space constraint than us.

We're good with minimalist living and super ok mamaintain.

aminasappari, sayang may mga townhouse at that price na ok for a family.

^ Katipunan near Ateneo? You can ask the guard na tingnan mo lang yung mga for sale/rent to own na nakapaskil sa board.

We own two condo units. We managed naman. Hindi naman masikip. Minsan pumupunta mom ko at youngest brother ko from the province. Doon lang medyo masikip. I have my own room at katabi ko mom ko.

Last year lang binili ng parents ko for me and my brother na sumunod sa akin. One bedroom lang siya. Located near SM Sta.Mesa. Doon ako tumira nung nagrereview ako for my exam. Hindi na niya kasi kaya magcommute from our 2BR condo. Kasama namin yaya.

I miss my parents bigla hehe OFW kasi ako

^ Salamat, sis. :)

Our family of 3 has been living in a 32sqm condo since April 2015. The place is small and it was such an adjustment coming from a townhouse but I think it's still just right for us since we're just three. The family who lives across our unit though is a BIG family. They have 4 highschool kids plus a maid with a kid. I wonder how they fit in the unit, parang nakakainit ng ulo masyado yung ganong ka-tight na space. Plus, everytime you pass by their door, amoy kulob, nakakainis. I don't know why they chose to live there.

Used to stay in a townhouse with 2 kids. Need pa ng 2 maids to manage the gate, garage, up/down.

When we moved to a condo, 1 Maid lang kailangan. If she is off or vacation, I can likewise manage to keep the house tidy. Pag malaki kasi ang hirap i-maintain.

Nakavisit ako sa mid-rise condos. It is like target market nila ang mga families and the vicinity is malapit sa schools at groceries pero I am still thinking to buy a condo kasi wala pa naman ako pamilya. And it is not a problesm siguro sa space dahil magisa lang ako.

^I think yan din ang problem sa condo namin in Salcedo Village. Most of them are Koreans or Chinese and nakakainis lang kasi naninigarilyo sila sa pool area.

Sorry to say pero  I am sure you know naman na mas mabango ang Pinoy. Yeah, it's probably because  their culture is different from us.

I only stay at the condo once in a while , like nung na stranded kami dahil sa lakas ng ulan at habagat. We actually bought this unit for such situation dahil sa trauma namin sa Ondoy at habagat . But I still prefer our house in QC. .  It's so quiet ,but it's alright with me .  Medyo malungkot nga lang because wala yung mga doggie namin.

May mga rules din ba kapag may mga kids sa condo? or same lang lahat nang residents?
