Hi mga sis, question.. How many days ang allowed ng church to give or submit the marriage license?

A friend of mine told me that the church will collect the marriage license a month before the wedding date, and without the marriage license church wont allow them to have the interview with the priest,

hi sis Bratinella33! kuha kayo ng marriage license either sa Manila city hall or sa city hall ng municipal mo in bulacan. then your marriage certificate will be filed/registered in QC if dun yung church/ceremony nyo.

As for the kumpil, go to San Miguel Church in Malacañang, right after the confirmation rites, makukuha nyo na yung certificate. =)

Yung marriage license you can get either sa Manila or Bulacan sis Bratinella. Much better magpakumpil na lang kayo kung saan kayo magpapakasal para yung docs derecho sa church mismo ganun kasi ang ginawa namin ni hubby e.

Maukris - Hi sis! Kamusta ang requirements niyo? Sana napakiusapan ninyo na to follow na lang ang license.  Kami kasi napayagan ng 3 weeks before wedding date na magpakasal sa church. Kakilala kasi namin yung mga tao sa parish, then to follow lahat ng requirements namin. Ang immediate requirement lang na ginawa namin are interview and seminar. Biglaan din kasi yung wedding sa church dahil ang initial plan eh civil muna. Pero nung umuwi mom ko from US, she requested bakit hindi na mag church para isahan na lang at may blessing na kami agad. Fortunate na lang na nairaos namin lahat lahat in 3 weeks time. As in lahat, suppliers, dresses etc. to think Christmas holiday pa yun.

Eto pa rin ang pinoproblema ko out of all the wedding requirements and suppliers a couple would need.  In the past, I've already decided to just get a fixer, since h2b is based abroad and won't be able to come here till three weeks before the wedding.  Kelangan ko yung marriage license to confirm our schedule with the church, which needs to be scheduled at least 6 months before.  Kapraning!  Anyway, may nagbanggit saken that for overseas Filipinos, there's a document that can be requested from the Philippine consulate office, the one with the red ribbon, para makuhanan daw sila ng marriage license without personal appearance.  How true is this?  Has anyone ever tried it like this?

Kuha pa rin kami ng Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage, na apparently ngayon ay by appointment na sa US Embassy.

yung baptismal certificate with annotation ba is required talaga na may validity for 6 months or it depends sa church. kasi sa list of requirements na binigay sa amin ng church wala namang nakalagay.
our problem kasi is we scheduled the wedding on July tapos yung baptismal certificate ni h2b is from Italy pa ngayong December na namin ipaparequest kasi may uuwi ng Pinas on January so ipapasabay na lang ang papeles.

hi mga sis. ilang months/ weeks ba prior to wedding date dapat magsubmit ng church requirements? gustong gusto ko itanong sa church namin. kaso di sila nag eentertain ng wedding related concerns pag thursdays. gusto ko lang ng peace of mind.

wrong spelling kasi name ng father ni fiance sa baptismal at confirmation certificates nya. for signature pa ng bishop sa province nila para maicorrect. itong si bishop umalis daw kanina and not sure kung makakabalik in 3 weeks. nasstress lang ako

Sis at least one month before the wedding. But much better if earlier than that, so you have ample time if biglang may mga aayusin, like in your case.

WE started to gather our documents now to submit sa church. Approximately 2.5 months to go before the wedding. We're now experiencing a speed bump dahil mali yun name ni h2b sa church (( pati yun name ng mother and father, mali....ang nasa records lang ng simbahan, yun nickname. Sa birthday din, mali (year lang nakalagay). Hay juskolord. Now we would be submitting a birth certificate sa simbahan, and they will issue a letter and an affidavit, which we will be bringing to the Arzobispo office sa Intramuros. Sana naman mabilis lang ito. Akala ko pa naman next week mapapakumpilan na sya huhu

Sis stylus in my case mali spelling ng name ng mother ko sa baptismal certificate. When i called our church ang sabi not prerequisite naman na itama right away, ang susundin nila is yong nasa marriage license. Bigla akong kinabahan, less than two months n lang kasi wedding na namin. Buti na lang naclarify agad.

Wag niyo sagarin yung baptismal/ confirmation... the sooner you get it done, the better. The deadline is really for you to get the final document and not the sacrament itself. Pwede pang may mangyari na mga ganyan wrong spelling, the strict churches really require you to correct it first in Intramuros.

Help po... My fiance was born in Rome Italy pero filipino citizen siya and isa lang na NSO birth certificate lang ang meron siya. since ikakasal kami we need at least 2 more copies of it (original) for some requirements. I tried ordering it online and once nilagay ko nasa Place of birth na ITALY nirerefer nila ako sa DFA ichecheck kung may record daw doon which is so hassle 2-3 months pa ang processing.

anyone who have the same problem as mine? napaka hassle sobra.

Best to ask your church more than anyone else, really, because different churches have diff requirements. Mine requires 6 months or newer for church documents and 4 months or newer for govt documents.

^thanks sis chiskeyk & sparklingjewel. we went to our church, national shrine of st. jude thaddeus to confirm if they'll accept baptismal and confirmation certificates na mali spelling ng father's name. pero sa birth certificate may annotation naman ng nso. sabi nila kailangan pa daw ipacorrect sa baptismal and confirmation certificates. oh well.

Di sya nakaregister sa local civil registrar kaya wala syang paper sa NSO.

lueeeesa, check mo sa NSO nalang..or better yet, sa SM ka kumuha ng NSO copy. Usually ang hinihingi lang is name, mother's name and father's name. SAka birthday. Goodluck!

lalala00, you can opt for a late registration of birth. Or better yet, para mabilis, kung meron naman syang birth certificate from another country (or if he is dual citizen), why don't you try using that? Pwede naman sa atin. Mas madali pa nga ang requirements ng foreigners sa atin pagkuha ng marriage license.

We finally finished our requirements. Thank you to the National Parish of St. Michael sa Malacanang for the walk-in confirmation ni h2b. I guess nagtagal lang kami dahil kainailangan namin ipa-correcty un name ni h2b, mother's name and father's name nya. Ipinila sa Arzobispo. 3x bumailk kasi kung ano ano hiningi nila. Nun last, siya na mismo pumila for him. Nakuha nila agad ang endorsement ng RCAM, tapos dinala na sa church. Same day din, nacorrect. Yay!

Submit nalang sa Church and seminar. Homigoshhhh. Buti nalang sa Sto Domingo, pwede daw isang buong araw ang seminar para hindi na pabalik balik..
