Mga sis, I need your help. Have you experienced na matanggal yun bato ng ring niyo? It happened to me twice. The recent one is kanina lang at sobrang kaba ng dibdib ko. Akala ko nawala na talaga yun bato thank God nakita ko pa!!! Siguro it must be the shape na naghohold sa bato? Hay. What would you advise mga sis. Dapat na ba palitan namin yun ring mismo?

^theres something wrong with your setting sis!! It is best to have it reset since you already lost the stone twice. =) Good thing you still found the stone!! =)

I'll have a heart attack if that happened to me!

Probably this is due to the setting and the metal used. Could be malambot yung metal for the size of your stone, poor craftmanship, or both.

Sis Chili1113 : Yup super. Good thing talaga! It's been my habit to check on it  using my thumb. Napansin ko siya before going home nasa office pa ako. Hay. What do you mean by reset? Totally change the ring?

Sis j.adore : Almost happened to me! Di ko alam saan ko una hahanapin. Found it in my bag! Most likely natanggal siya nung may inaayos ako pauwi. Same thought sis, parang may something sa naghhold ng stone. I cant afford to lose it next time again. Hay.

^Sis, pa check mo na sa jeweler! They might have to change the entire base/setting of the ring. I also had my engagement ring reset. It cost me around 18500 though =( but much better na the quality of the new setting. Also, I chose 14k since 18k is a bit softer.

^ Nagmamadali pa nga ako umuwi last night kasi may lakad ako. Then nung napansin kong nawala yun stone, hindi ako uuwi ng hindi ko nahahanap yun!! Told my fiance after.. He got worried and asked agad kung nawala yun stone. Told him na lang I wouldn't telling you this if I lost it.. Kasi diba ang hirap sabihin nun kung sakali. He promised naman na we'll get it fixed. Tapos sabi nya na it's really for me... Kasi nakita ko parin. Thankful talaga ako. Hay. We'll talk about it na lang kung saan namin papagawa.

May I ask sis san ka nagpagawa or nagpaayos ng ring? Mine's a gold ring kasi e. If may chance talaga, baka palitan na lang yun mismong ring band.

^I had my engagement ring reset in Orogem Jewellers in Podium. I had it reset because ang pangit ng old setting. I had it done together when I ordered my wedding ring from them, also so that the two rings will line up perfectly.

BTW don't leave your stone with the jeweller when you have it reset hehe baka palitan ng fake or inferior stone! That's what I liked with Orogem, they measure the stone, then you take it home with you while they make a new ring. Then they will only put the stone into the new setting when it is done, and you can watch them transfer the stone.

^ Thanks sis. It happens pala talaga, Im afraid kasi baka my fiance will get offended kapag nag suggest ako to replace the setting. But if it will make my stone safe... Why not diba. I think papayag naman  siya kasi it happened twice na. Sabi ko talaga sa kanya Im not gonna wear it again kapag ganyan. May fear lagi kapag suot ko and I dont want that.

Hi girls ask ko lang opinion nyo about Hearts and Arrows engagement rings? Hmmm am considering some jewelry stores lately, somehow nakakita ako na maganda mga designs here but since di naman ako familiar sa mga jewelries and all... I thought about getting some opinion. I notice their ring price ranges from 30k - 40k, worth it ba?

Hearts and arrows in general, [textspeak!] shop mostly located sa SM, baka kasi some of you have experience in terms of how legit and good the quality of ring they have according to their price. Mahirap na kasi ma overprice if di worth yung quality.

Agree with you, cinnamongirl. The most important things are the cut and other quality-related factors of the ring, especially yung pagkagawa. It does not matter naman kasi kung super nice ang design ng ring kung di naman ganoon katibay yung quality niya. Durability is a big factor, especially if you are the "for keeps" type.

Regarding sa price naman, if willing ka or your guy to spend talaga, ok lang yung 5-figure prices. Once in a lifetime lang naman kasi yung engagement, eh. Then again, you also have to ask your guy kung may specific budget ba siya. And then again, of course, important pa rin yung quality. If you buy something expensive na questionable naman ang quality, ikaw malulugi.

^ thanks sis, we are just really scouting on where good jewelry store to buy, and as mentioned on my previous post there were designs sa hearts and arrows shop na nagustuhan ko yet taking time na makakuha ng feedback about the store and quality of their jewelry, baka chances are meron dito nakaexperience making purchase from them.

My hubby (well, his parents) bought mine at Helen's (Fisher Mall). He had it in a size a wee bit too big kaya we brought it back to have it resized. I saw their range of engagement rings and they're very affordable and sobrang ganda rin ng choices nila. Not to mention, ang bills rin ng service kasi I got mine earlier than they promised. Honestly, hindi na nag matter sakin yung ichura ng ring, mine had a relatively small stone pero when I think about what my hubby had to go through to get our engagement and wedding planned (it was rushed kasi my mom was terminally-ill), sobrang laki ng appreciation ko and he still went out and proposed and gave me a ring

My fiance got my Sapphire engagement ring from Matus in SM Megamall. Part of the ring snapped before I was about to leave the house... buti na lang nakita ko! They repaired everything free of cost and apologized profusely for it.

^ Mukhang cathedral 4 prong setting sya.

4 prongs para maximized yung exposure ng diamond pero sacrificed yung stability. Dahil elevated yung diamond, medyo prone sa pagtama yung mga prongs, if 18k gold sya, mas mataas tendency na lumuwag nga.

awesomecakes: have your ring checked by a reputable jeweler. My 4 prong set rings which are even from my lola pa, never loosened even if the ring itself is even older than me and medyo antique na. Although it is always recommended that you have your jewelry checked yearly.
