^shyreen congrats!!! hehe.  Good to know kailangan lang ng konting wait hehe.  I got my passport 4 days after it said issued. But that's because there was also a weekend in between. So maybe wait 2-3 working days to be sure. Then I got to pickup my passport at our local depot. At least all is well. Congrats again.

Hi everyone.

My company wanted to send me to New York this Sept 21 for a training. Wala pa akong US visa. If I pay today, when is the soonest I can get an appointment? If ever pumasa, aabot kaya ako?

hi sissies, reposting lang. Medyo kicking-in na yung desperation and frustrations sa akin. I just really wanted to have my tourist visa despite of my current situation (following-to-join derivative beneficiary) and visit my husband to spend Christmas with him. Any tips from your personal experiences, especially to those who have been in my situation, would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

sisses help! I have been denied 2x na for a tourist visa, and it is really frustrating, why can't the consuls listen and understand carefully what situation I have I am a following-to-join derivative beneficiary kasi of my husband who's already in the US. I don't want yet to pursue my petition (interview na lang ang hinihintay sa akin pero hindi pa ako handa talaga, bakit hindi ba yun maintindihan ng consul), kasi hindi pa talaga kami ready to settle in the US kasi he is still working as a travelling PT every now and then lipat nang lipat sya ng location ng facility nya, so mahirap pa talaga kami magsettle. I have told this to the consuls who have interviewed me pero denied pa rin nang denied. Meron ba sa inyo na same situation ko? Advices and tips naman sisses. I want to visit lang talaga my husband. Nag-aaway na kami dahil jan kasi ako ang sinisisi niya lagi everytime my visa is denied!! Lagi reason sa akin ng consul, I don't have strong ties where I am applying to (pero I'm a PR naman dito sa country where I'm applying US Visa) and my husband is there. E hello, kung wala naman asawa ko run, hindi naman ako mag-aapply ng tourist visa. Nakakagigil na!! Another reason na bakit ayaw ko pa iPursue yung petition is because naghihintay akong maging citizen dito where I am currently in, which ayaw kong I-disclose ito sa consul, kasi baka yung petition ko naman ang mapahamak. Or dapat ko naba sabihin to para patibay na babalik talaga ako sa panggagalingan ko. HELP!!

sis @wife2be, I assume you're in ph and you'll apply in ph noh? Better have your interview be scheduled latest middle of next week. I think if later than mid-next week, medyo alanganin na nga. Ask for your company's assistance na. If I'm not mistaken, meron ata jan sa atin na "expedite" service? I'm not sure about this and who can avail this.

Mga sis, got denied last Friday. 
Questions were:
-Purpose
-How long vacation
-Single? -- Yes
-With kids? -- None
-Work - Position
-How long sa work
-Net Monthly Income
-Properties

Ganun lang ka straight-forward ang mga questions, no documents asked. Babae yung nag interview sa akin, chubby and curly ang hair. How I wished na sana dun ako sa mga lalaking consul, baka nagkaron pa ng chance.  Mukhang mataray si ate eh.

After that the consul told me that I didnt establish "Social, Family and Economic ties", not sufficient to issue a visa at that point, but can re apply naman daw. Then my passport was handed back to me together with the blue letter.. which states the reason why I was denied (In general).. Nagulat lang ako at "oh" lang ang tanging nasabi ko. hehe .. sa bilis ba naman kasi, denied agad2 hehe

Oh well, 830am sked ko, mas matagal pa ang pag aantay ko..inabot na ako ng almost 12noon bago na interview.. and my interview ... wala pang 5 minutes, ligwak agad. Haaaay. Sayang ang visa fee  ...and better luck next time to me.

sis, ask ko lang, what did you think was the main reason hindi ka na-approve? my officemate who has the same circumstances as you--single, employed, no kids--is thinking of applying. ang fear nya is that her salary might not be convincing enough in the eyes of consuls. i know she earns 55k monthly ($1200). i wonder if tinitingnan talaga yung laki ng sweldo.


@Tulips28 - best siguro sis if you disclose everything. trained sila to spot if you are withholding information.

@tulips28 -  hi, I had to reread your story and had just fully grasped it. You already had a previous application right? That is the reason you are being denied. Is that a family based petition or a spouse visa?

 They will not issue another visa if you are currently applying for another. Magkakaron ng glitch kasi you will have 2 pending applications, so your name will be in their system already.  When you applied for a tourist visa it was indicated if you have any pending applications right,  that would have been when you were filling up your ds160.  They might even tell you that if you didn't want to settle into the US, you should have not applied for your I30? Or spousal visa.

If you still want to go forward with your tourist visa, you may have to cancel your previous visa application.  You may also check visa journey. That website is mainly for US applications. Somebody may provide more answers for you there.

what are the chances of getting a visa for my husband and MIL if

MIL:
-separated but legal husband is in the states na as a resident and with family na rin.
-she has her married name in her passport
- eldest son is in the US as tnt
- not working, supported by my husband


Husband:
- illegit child so he has a different surname
- working and has travelled here in Asia
- we're newly married

ito ba yung nakasalamin? yung nag interview din sakin babaeng curly hair, mukhang librarian. hehe

about salary, i think may influence din pero overall ties talaga. nung nag apply ako last year, same profile din ako, mas maliit pa nga sweldo ko at ang show money ko less than 100k. same questions din with sis Maein... di narin tinanong kung nakapag abroad narin ako. nabigyan naman ako. minsan sa mood din ng consul.

Pag nagsubmit ka ata ng form, they will already review the facts na nandon, and magdedecide na sila whether to grant your visa or not even before your interview. Kaya talagang kung hindi sila kumbinsido sa nakalagay sa form mo, kahit ano idisclose mong information sa interview, feeling ko wala ng bearing. Yung sa akin kasi i wrote there that my purpose of travel was to take my exam, and during the interview they knew the exact date of my exam registration kahit na hindi ko naman nilagay yun sa form ko. Babae din nag interview sa akin, she was friendly naman pero intimidating pa din.

@la_pinay, feel ko basta disclose mo lahat honestly, you'll be good. Importante din ang purpose ng travel. Madalas kasi pag tourist visa ang application, tapos ibang tao ang magfafund and the applicant doesn't have their own income, baka lesser chance talaga.

@sis Annie M. - Kung yung mga questions lang sa akin ang pagbabasehan ko, baka nga e dahil single ako, no kids, age less than 30 yo, di pa ganon talaga kalaki salary although position sa work okay naman na. Since this is my 2nd work na, less than 3 yrs palang ako sa company. May properties naman ako and savings to fund my travel, kaso hindi sya humingi ng kahit anong document. . na willing naman ako e present lahat kung hiningi lang sana sa akin. Wala naman ako ibang maisip na nilagay ko sa DS-160 na kakaiba. hehe


@sis Beachpatrol - yes sis, sya na nga yun.. yung parang librarian.. btw, I was asked din pala what countries I've visited - been to Sg and Malaysia palang. Nag renew na rin ako passport kaya wala ng tatak yung new ko.

@sis Simang - Nakakalungkot naman pag sa form palang eh nakapag decide na sila whether to give you or not a visa. Well, maaring tama ka din kasi sa bilis pa naman ng interview sa akin.. I felt na wala ng gana si ateng consul sa pagtatanong sa akin. o iniisip ko nalang baka gutom na sya kasi it was almost 12 na nung nainterview ako. I observed kasi yung mga nauna sa akin parang mabusisi sya at dami nya tanong. .

While waiting for my turn for the interview, meron monitor sa loob and at some point naka flash dun yung mga MYTHS about not getting a visa: Single, Low Income, The US embassy has a daily quota for the number of visas that can be issued everyday, If you have not traveled to any country yet,  NOT CUTE (even non-models daw were issued a visa ), etc. -- natawa nalang ako sa NOT CUTE eh.

Anyways, charged to experience nalang. Whatever it is kung bakit hindi ako na approve, eh hindi rin malinaw sa akin kung ano talaga yung pinaka strong na basis nila.. wala din naman ako relatives / family sa US. lahat naandito and talagang vacation lang yung pakay ko why I want to go US. Kung yung iba with the same circumstance sa akin eh naaprove naman. Sighyaaang. hehe

^maein hi, next time you apply, it may be better to attach your old passport with stamps from your previous visits to other countries. It doesn't matter kung kasi old passport na yun. It will just serve as a proof that you've gone to other countries and did not become any problem of any state. Visiting other countries actually helps, kasi dun makikita nila kung may chance ka na magstay sa kanila. Also, sa mga bank statements na isusubmit, as much as possible aside from savings account, they also want to see your current account. Kasi makikita nila kung ano yung galaw ng day to day expenses mo, and yet still be able to hold a sufficient maintaining balance.

@Bonzaigirl .. thanks for the suggestion sis re old passport. Will consider that the next time I apply. Hmm regarding kasi sa bank statement or any other document, I was advised kasi na if it was not asked from me eh wag ko daw ibibigay yung mga documents. .kaya yun na nga ginawa ko. But if incase hiningan ako ng mga documents during that time, available naman.. lahat naman dala ko bank statement, land title, COE.. etc. 

Sis wife2be, after paying thru BPI online.. I remember after 4 or 6 hours ata yun.. granted that you already opened an account  for appointment, then you can choose na your preferred and available dates for the appointment.. and you'll receive your Appointment Confirmation.

sis @maein, ako talagang binigay ko yung old passports kahit hindi hiningi. kasi bagong-bago yung passport ko eh. wala pang tatak.

di ba usually sa pila, sasabihin sayo ng mga bantay na "latest passports lang po?" so ginawa ko, while waiting for our turn sa interview, inattach ko ulit yung old passports so the consul can see our schengen visa and other travels.

in my case, nag-online payment ako ng around 1pm and nakapag-schedule ako online mga 6pm.

Sis prettypurple, 50/50 talaga kasi, i have a friend who has a pending US petition and he was denied for 3x, hanggang sa ayaw na nya mag apply ulit and antayin na lang nya petition nya. Pero may kakilala din ako with petition din, and he was given a visa though 6 months lang. So wala talagang assurance.

Hi mga sis! I've been lurking around here for a long time now because I've been making my own research about getting a US visa since I'm planning to get one, as a tourist. What are my chances of getting approved mga sis?

- I am 22 years old
- With a 3 year old daughter (goes to preschool, I know too young but we want her to get socialized)
- And married (husband works here in the PH)
- I have relatives in the US, my aunt and 2 grown up cousins, all USC (will be staying at their place during the vacation)
- Don't have much in my bank account
- Starting on a franchising business this year
- Whole family based in Manila
- My father (seafarer) will sponsor my expenses
- No international travel experience


My questions sissies are

- I've read here that the consulate doesn't really care about how much money an applicant makes, they are looking for stronger ties in the PH. Does leaving my daughter and husband behind consider as a strong tie? I also have an upcoming business, I guess that's a plus point?

(The reason why I'm leaving my daughter is because she's too young for an international trip, she can get really grumpy and I don't think long walks or long plane hours will help. My husband can't leave his work here.)

- But what if I wanna bring my daughter with me (despite the fact na maiirita sya sa tour and plane) ma-approve ba kami both? Kasi nakita ko either one us can get denied.

- I'm not really after their green card and don't have plans to migrate or go TNT, I just want to visit the place and experience it first hand kasi dream ko talaga yung US ever since I was a child. Now given the opportunity, I'm grabbing the chance to go there na. (Thanks naman kasi dun sa mga kababayan natin na nag-tourist visa tas nag-TNT. They're messing it up for everybody else na pure ang intentions.)

Will apply for a visa maybe early next year, by that time siguro na establish ko na yung upcoming business ko this year. I need tips mga sis to get stronger ties or if I have enough. I'm not employed, self-employed lang.

Sobrang nakakakaba mag basa ng mga visa stories na denied! You'll spend more than a 100 bucks tas denied, nakakaloka!!!!
