I air dry mine inside a dish dryer na sterilizer. Diba babies below 6 months shouldnt drink water so inisip ko if may water residue yung bottles its like me letting my baby sip water.

I also dry all bottles and pump parts before use. After sterilizing, pinapalagay ko sa dish/bottle rack to dry.

^ Do you have a friend or relative who has breastfed her baby?  I suggest you ask her to teach you if you don't want to spend for a lactation counselor.  :)

I had inverted nipples too and it was not really an issue when it came to breastfeeding.  I did not use a nipple shield.  I had to work harder though on making my babies latch properly.

Joining mga sis. First time mom here, 5 weeks na si baby and I'm exclusively breastfeeding from day 1. Super happy ako at healthy and tabaching-ching si baby. I plan to do this for at least a year din sana, or more kung kakayanin.
I started pumping almost 4 weeks pa lang si baby (probably too early), pero mukhang establish na yung latching ni baby and i'm glad wala din naging nipple confusion when we introduce bottle. We only feed thru bottle once or twice sa gabi, kase shifting kame ni hubby sa pagfeed kay baby ;D
I'm just a little worried na baka onti na supply ko tapos di ako aware.

as long as lagi naglatch si baby, hindi mauubos ang supply mo.

Lapit na mag-one month si lo and I know the rule na dapat after 6weeks pa pwede mag-pump. Question ko mga sis ano ba ang effect if mag-start mag-pump earlier than 6weeks?

I'm planning to try na mag-pump after nya mag-one month since meron ako kelangan mga ayusin sa labas ayoko naman isama baby ko at i-expose agad sa crowd.

Any personal tips din mga mommies when starting to pump? Ano ba kelangan ko i-prepare and suggested schedule ng pag-pump? Once ba na nag-pump na dapat consistent na sya or in a regular basis na gagawin? I'm planning to direct feed most of the time naman need lang bottle feed pag aalis ako, I'm a stay home mom naman kasi. Tia!

In my case, I pumped at 5wks. Kinailangan e, me pinuntahang lamay at ayoko naman dalhin si baby.. pero once lang ako nagpump nun, para lang me maiwan for baby.. next pump ko was at 6weeks+ na.

If you're SAHM (WAHM din ako), you don't need to pump regularly naman. Siguro pag super-engorged ka lang or if need mo mag-iwan ng expressed milk.

In my case, I pump about once or twice a day sa 6th-9th week yata yun, kasi sinanay namin si baby na at least once a day mag-bottle. Sa start kasi nahirapan kami painumin sya sa bottle. Tipong pag lalabas ako e nagha-hunger strike si baby. Whole afternoon 1-2oz lang ininom, natulog lang most of the time. Once pina-latch na pagkauwi ko, ayun grabe, gutom na gutom.. now sanay na sya sa bottle so if naiiwan, walang problema at di ako magwoworry na ginugutom nya sarili nya. And pag nasa car din, naka-carseat sya so bottle-feeding kami pag nasa byahe.

2nd-6th months ni baby, 2-3x ako magpump per day. Was able to build a stash. And nakapag-donate din ako over 200oz in total.

Now, baby is 8mos, and since humina na milk consumption once she started solids, once or twice na lang ako magpump. Me konting stash pa din ako sa freezer pero nasa 20bags na lang siguro at a time (na tig-5oz in average). Plus a couple of bottles na nasa ref. During the day kasi pinapabantay ko kay yaya si baby, if I needed to finish something for work or if I just wanted to rest or if I needed to run errands outside the house.

IMO nagiging prone sa oversupply and mastitis if you pump before 6 weeks kung mag pupump ka regularly plus the baby directly feeding on you pa. Your body will produce more than the baby needs kasi your pumping pa.

If you go back to work na and you need to pump, you need to be very diligent and pump every 3 hours to mimic the baby's feeding routine.

When my lo was 2 weeks old, I had super sore and cracked nipple on my right breast. As in super sakit talaga and everytime maglatch sya, nagstain yung damit nya with blood and umiiyak ako during feeding.
So I decided to pump that early on my right breast para gumaling yung sore nipple. Mga 4 days din yun na I just expressed milk from my right breast para magheal yung nipple.
Wala namang naging effect and even if I fed the expressed milk through bottle, hindi sya nagka-nipple confusion.
After nun, I stopped pumping na and started to build my stash at 6 weeks before going back to work.
Looking back, kung hindi ko ginawa yun, I would have given up on exclusive breastfeeding kasi sobrang sakit talaga.
I think if you decide to pump before 6 weeks, ok lang naman as long as you're not doing it to purposely have an oversupply. Also, yung 6 weeks is a guideline kasi most breastfeeding moms, around that time talaga fully nageestablish yung breastfeeding relationship ng mom and baby.

Thanks mga sis sa tips/info. That's my plan also, mag-pump lang if kelangan ko lang mag-iwan ng milk kay baby. I want to start next week kasi gusto ko muna i-try i-introduce ang bottle kay baby para pag kelangan ko sya iwanan muna di sya mag-hunger strike hehe  ;) napapansin ko mas malakas ang milk ko pag madaling araw so I'm planning to pump during that time.

Mas okay ba mag-pump before feeding ni baby or after nya mag-feed?

To get the most and fastest let down, pump one breast while feeding your baby on the other. Pumping after feeding is okay lang din pero nakakafrustrate yan sa start lalo na if your baby is just a few days old kasi your body is making konting milk lang since konti lang naman kailan ni baby. As in one oz lang nakukuha ko after feeding. Just do whats best for you and your baby, observe your body as well. Sa madaling araw nga madaming output.

Hello mga sis!

My baby is a preemie and 2 months na siyang nasa NICU. Through feeding tube muna siya finefeed and di pa kami pinapayagan na maglatch kasi inoperahan siya sa stomach niya to correct the jejunal atresia.

Ngayon feel ko kasi kumokonti supply ko. I would get only 1oz both breasts na every pumping session.

Pwede ba kayo mag skin to skin ni baby? May nabasa ako sa exclusively pumping mamas on fb that she took a video of her baby crying and she would watch that while she pump and that would help her body know her baby is hungry/needs milk. Meron din yung clothes ni baby dinadala sa office and inaamoy or whatever then mag pupump after.
