Thanks mga sis. Meron pala sa kellymom ng calculator where you can input the number of feedings a day and how much approximately your baby drinks per feeding.

Im a stay at home mom but i have a huge stash, about 80 bags of 4oz each. I was able to build it by pumping when my baby is sleeping at night. I will be able to get 8 oz. Now i started power pumping (pumping while baby is latched on the other boob), let down is faster but i feed that agad sa baby ko by bottle. He easily gets distracted kasi and would not take a full feed. Gusto niya to make daldal or to check the surroundings so i bottle feed him while playing. Try introducing the bottle at least once a day. They say it helps if someone else feeds them using the bottle.  Two weeks palang eh nag bottle na siya and no nipple confusion naman. Actually mas gusto parin niya mag direct latch and ang daming tapon pag sa bottle. Now he is more efficient with bottle feeding starting last week.

Mga sis how did you build your stash of BMs before going back to work?

Say mga a week before work you started pumping na while baby's feeding? kasi diba unli latch pa until bumalik sa work? how do you started stashing if baby is constantly feeding?

saka paano nyo sinimulan yung introduction ng bottle kay baby? kasi i'm afraid baka magka nipple confusion, hindi na maglatch sakin once I introduce the bottle. I feel like no turning back na once may nipple confusion, lol.

I never had a stash. What I pump today, LO will consume tomorrow. Bumalik ako ng work monday, nag pump lang ako nung weekend before nun. So far di naman nagka problema di naman kinukulang. I stick to 1-1.5oz per hour rule. I donate it. Pero nagtira ako around 20 oz for emergency. :) Don't worry di mo kelangan ng sobra sobrang stash. Just have enough para may back up in case of emergency. And ito ang rank ng breastmilk from best best best best to best. Direct > Freshly expressed > Refrigerated > Frozen. So I avoid freezing talaga (maliban dun sa 20oz "stash").

It would be better if you introduce bottle pag established na ang direct feeding nyo. Pwede kasi magka nipple confusion if too early. I started introducing the bottle once a day. Nung first day, nag alangan pa sya.

Sakto madami na ako ipon, so I brought 14bags of about 4oz-5oz per bag dun..

Plan ko ulit magdonate end of this month.

My donee is an individual mom.

Just got back sa work today. :(

It might cause mastitis.

What do you mean manual pumping? yung manual na pump or hand expression? Kasi manual pumping does not really take 20 mins for each breast. You might wanna  buy manual pump lang muna habang wala ka pang bagong electric. I've used farlin before I had electric and maganda sya. For the meantime lang.

I think Medela House only repairs pumps purchased from them or from their accredited vendors (Babyland, etc). I think it's the global non-repair policy of Medela. You can only have pumps repaired in the country where it was bought...

How do you deal with a baby being so distracted while nursing? Im getting so frustated already. Read that 4-6 month old babies are notorious for being distracted as they are more aware and curious about the world. My supply is getting messed up narin kasi pa konti konti siya mag nurse. I tried pumping milk and give it through bottle and that used to work but he is now more distracted when he learned to roll over and wont even take the bottle at times. I only get 2 decent nursing sessions a day, one in the morning and one before bed.

^^ sis, hydrate yourself well and try to have baby latch as often as possible to stimulate production. Or increase frequency of pumping sessions.

^ daughter ko just turned 6 months and me time nga few weeks ago na distracted sya pag nagdedede. So what I do, we go inside the bedroom, no tv or music, then I make her latch. Tapos kinakausap ko sya or kinakantahan. I also hold her other hand (the other hand e nakaipit/nakayakap sa may side kung san sya nagnu-nurse).

Pag si yaya naman nagpapadede ng BM sa bottle, at nagkataong easily distracted si baby, pumapasok sila sa bedroom ni baby, then upo sila sa recliner, para malayo sa noise from the sala.

vain_kixie, I use Spectra milk bags from babymama.ph. It's durable, self-sealing and it's only P280 for one box (30pcs).

Dati around 10-12 oz. Never naman kinulang. Kaso minsan kelangan magmadali umuwi kasi ubos na gatas. Then nag increase naging 15-19 oz. May sobra pa dino donate ko yung iba. Then these past week umonte ulit 15 oz na lang. I dont know why. Pero mga sis, dont worry about it too much kasi stress and pressure may cause decrease in supply din. Dadami din yan eventually. Kung masipag sipag kayo pwede rin mag pump sa bahay while or after nursing.

After breastfeeding ilan oz pa usually nakukuha niyo?

Do skin to skin and pa latch ka lang ng pa latch sis. Also drink loads of water. You may also call a lactation consultant to visit you at home. Get a massage or whatever to make you relax, stress wont help you have milk.
