hello sister! i think mahirap pag ibahin yan specially sa invites. hindi rin naman talaga papasok lhat ng guests, karamihan nasa labas lang yung iba, ganon tlaga sa caleruega since maliit yung venue :)

Hi mga sis! need your help. Our church ceremony will be on Caleruega and the capacity is just 150 but now when we're listing down our guests more than na. Since big both families namin ni hubby plus we have set of friends pa, it's now at 250+ na. We're thinking na we'll invite nalang the other 100+ on the reception.

And how will we tell them? Sa invite nalang? TIA!  :)

Very Challenging ito. Pero to be honest sa iba pabor yan, alam mo naman yung iba excited as reception as always.

Ask mo rin if they want to attend at Church.

Sis hearty2017, I agree with Purple_Power, it will be challenging. And when you do decide to push through with that step, prepare na rin to hear side comments. If you and your guests are from Tagaytay, chances are, no-brainer na willing and ready to attend sila ng reception. If your guests naman traveled all the way to Tagaytay, it's likely na they would want to stick till reception.

Mga sis thanks sa mga insights nyo. Lahat kasi ng guest namin from Manila and morning and ceremony so I expect talaga na not everyone will be there ng maaga.

Kasi minsan akala mo that 250 is 250 pero expect the possibility na pwedeng bumawas yan. Or ask the church if they can provide additional chairs too, kasi we'll never know if ito ay sobra or kukulangin.

^ hi sis, actually weekday morning, Friday.

^Well to be honest, medyo kampante ako na kahit invite mo yung 250 baka lang hindi rin lahat yan maging on time. Depende rin sa confirmation, although you can still ask others weeks before wedding or months if makakarating sila sa ceremony at morning. Doon magkakaalaman.

Hi sisses! Kelan ba usually advisable magcreate ng FB event? Is it before giving the hard copy invites? Thanks.

^Another advantage na mauna yung fb event kapag alam mo na may hindi makakarating at least you do not need to send that person an invitation or the hard copy, at least hindi sayang. Ganyan rin ginawa ko nung nag fb invite muna ako before sending invitation.

How many months ahead do you usually send out the Save the Dates, or the Facebook Invite? :)

^Months before like 3 to 2 months ang suggestion ko dyan para hindi mabigla yung guest and may time kayo to confirm.

^^We sent out Save The Date e-cards to some of our guests nung 6th-5th month countdown namin. Para may idea na sila. Then for PS, we'll personally give out printed ones next month.

Hi mga sis! need your help. Our church ceremony will be on Caleruega and the capacity is just 150 but now when we're listing down our guests more than 250 na.

Hi! I've been invited to a Caleruega wedding (9am friday din yun) na hati yung pag invite sa church and reception. Yung mga nasa church is 50-100 people lang, the rest derecho na sa reception. What the couple did was give separate invitations and FB invites for the church guests and the reception guests (e.g. relatives na madaming bata, matanda, friends na hindi part ng entourage, officemates na kelangang iinvite, etc.). About who makes the cut - personal decision nyo yan about kung sinong pinakaclose sa inyo, sinong hindi pwedeng mawala, your guests' willingness to travel ng maaga and their actual attendance. Anyway, pinakita din naman as SDE video presentation yung wedding ceremony during the reception, so "nawitness" pa din nung ibang guests yung wedding :)

BTW, since 9am yung kasal, umalis kami ng QC ~5am para malagpasan yung 7-8am traffic sa mga tech park, so we got there before 8am. Tapos pauwi mga 6 hrs from Tagaytay because of the usual friday traffic ;D

@marbleslice: 5-6months in advance sounds good. My wedding is in Feb (and I've found out a lot of weddings are booked on the same date) so I want to make sure i contact my guests early.

Is it required/customary that we give a printed save-the-date for PS? I didn't even think of this!

sis stella021817 yup it's like an "advance feelers" na din di ba :)

for the PS, not really required but depends on you na din. For us, since we got them as PS, we want to show a little effort lang, or make them feel special by giving out the printed Save the Date card aside pa sa food na dadalhin namin. :)

^Thanks! I guess I'd better check with my siblings re. what they did for their weddings! (my PS are mostly relatives or my godparents (baptism), so I don't think they'd mind if they don't get a printed copy, but you're right, it would be nice to show them a little extra effort!)

Hi sis, that's what I'm planning to do. Glad to hear that other brides also did it. Thanks a lot for your insights.

need help on deciding who to invite. may officemate ako na in-invite ako sa kasal this year, do i automatically invite them to my wedding? eh yung mga taong i closely work with but not necessarily office friends? i have limited slots for officemates in my wedding kasama na yung mga nagresign na sa bilang. tsaka pano yung group invite? inisip ko kasi ganun na lang para walang +1 kung d ko naman nakilala yung spouse/partner nila so i can have more rooms for other guests.
sorry for the long post, ito talaga kasi main source of dilemma ko sa wedding prep. 2017 bride here. thanks for the future input.  :D
