^ if my cat withdraws sis, I find it suspicious. First thing cats usually do if they are injured or sick is to get away from danger and hide... kase they are vulnerable. Instinct nila yun.

So anything out of the ordinary like sudden withdrawal for extended periods of time, I find it suspicious na. So far, ok lang cats namin. They usually only withdraw IF they get injured by other cats...

This is just based on my experience for taking care of cats for almost 3 decades. I think it will help if u have leafy plants in your vicinity. Based on my observation, some of my sick cats rely on chewing the leaves as their first aid when they are sick. Pansin ko pag medyo matamlay sila, they go to the plants then kinakagat-kagat nila ang leaves. Second naman is pinapakain namin sila ng asukal pag masama pakiramdam. Proven ko na ito when some of my cats ate internal organs of fish which were thrown by our neighbor, after nila makakain naging matamlay na and hindi na makatayo, suka na rin ng suka. After namin pakainin (with minimal force since di naman sila kakain ng asukal) ng sugar, naging okay na sila uli.

Does anyone know any clinic offering low rates for feline vaccinations? My cat population has suddenly ballooned to 11 and it's getting more and more expensive to keep them updated with the vaccinations. They're all indoor cats but I do bring them with me sometimes on pet events and short trips so I have to make sure they won't get infected.

^ have you tried reaching out to your local, government-owned vets, or pound? That's where I got two of my puspins done. Btw, Visayas region ako.

The other one timing lang kase may "mission" ata, then timing lang I found out on the day itself so send ko agad last puspin ko. These things are at least once a year, and have extremely POOR communication and advertisement.. so dapat lookout talaga...or try asking the local barangay


However; if your cats are not puspins, you will definitely (90% chance) get turned down. They dont entertain cats na may breeding, for fair business towards private vets If your cat (like mine) looks like merong breeding (really big and fat) mag.argue pa kayo LOL

Would like to seek for your advice on how to get rid of these little creatures sticking in my baby's fur. At first, i saw small light yellowish creatures crawling in his fur. I read in net that ACV would help to get rid of lice. Super effective ng acv sa lice. After 1 day of twice a day spraying ACV with water, wala na kong nakitang kuto sa kanya but meron pa ring parang lisa (nakakapit sa balahibo and ang hirap alisin tapos pag tinitiris may liquid and sound na napoproduce).

Please help me baka kasi eventually maging kuto again and lumipat samin. Our cat sleeps with us.

napapaliguan mo cats mo? behave naman? sa vet kapag nagpapaspray kami ng frontline di naman sila gumagamit ng gloves (o kaya kami mismo sa bahay), so feeling ko safe naman sya. we have tried other sprays pero pinaka ok pa rin ang frontline.

gusto ko itry yung nabasa ko dito na leaves sa kabilang thread since yung 2 cats namin walang angal sa ligo.

I guess, the reason why I am sharing my own story this time is kaka- sad lang ng feeling. I have 4 cats kasi and recently we decided to bring my other 2 cats sa in-lwas ko.. for good. Notice ko kasi hindi sila tumataba and kinakapos na sa budget maintaining their food. So far yung naiwang 2 ay okay talaga parang in 3 days time parang may difference na sa weight nila and parang tumataba na.. ewan ko lang ha pero parang okay na talaga kain nila hindi na nag aagawan. Ang concern ko lang is yung 2 cats ko na binigay sa in laws, may existing cat na kasi sila doon eh. Pero as per feedback, yung sa akin pa daw yung territorial and nang aaway ng existing na pusa. I miss the 2 na, pero hindi talaga kaya na 4 sila sabay sa bahay.    Sad lang but hope makaka- settle na sila 2 dun soon.

^not yet sis. But when i went to a vet weeks ago, i was told to use frontline, i was hesitant to use this because i find it scary and unsafe. Based kc s instructions, humans should use gloves when applying it to animals pero as per the vet safe naman daw ito even s preggy cats. Weird lang for me kc how come its safe to preggy cats while as per instructions humans should wear gloves, kinda contradicting. Kaya last resort ko na sana ito.

Any other effective spray or shampoo for my cat's lisa?

Super safe ang frontline spray. Nung nagka fleas cats ko yun ginamit ko sa kanila at nawala agad fleas nila. Pag inaapply ko bare hands lang din pero be sure to wash your hands after application, possible kasi na allergic ka isa sa ingredients kaya pinag glogloves sa instruction. More on safety purposes lang naman yun pero based on experience 100% safe siya sa cats.

mga sis may alam ba kayong facebook page or websites kung saan pwede ko i-post yung rescued cat namin? nakuha ko siya sa garbage. ang bilis kasing lumaki, mahirap na magpa-ampon kapag di na mukhang kitten so yung mga previous rescues namin, andito lahat sa house.

I get my stock at SnR 999 php and I buy around 4 at a time coz meron na month or two na wala yung SnR.. better yet you ask around to get texted if they do have stock, or you call them beforehand (i do this coz 1 hr drive from SnR to my house one way )

For litter sand try feline fresh 270 for 10 L. I think this is he cheapest of all litter sands that I've used na may quality. Before sa snr ako bumibili kasi yun pinakamatino  at maramihan.

Any cat owners here na may kidney disease ang baby nila? Nakarecover ba?

Kwento ko lang. Been very sad and stressed lately. Last May yung 7 yrs old baby girl ko  became lethargic, vomiting yellow bile and don't have any  appetite. I immediately brought her to PAWS (low cost at trusted ko kasi kaya kahit pumila ako ng matagal) tapos pagkakapa sakanya may bukol sa around abdomen area. SInce wala naman equipment dun we were asked to go to VIP (vets in practice) for ultrasound. And it was confirmed nga na may mass siya.  We went back again sa PAWS para sabihin results. Sabi basta kumain ulit and function well di na kaialngan alisin. Kasi cons ng surgery pedeng if sobrang laki ng mass di na siya gigisingin, so natakot ako.  After 3 check-ups she became active again. So hinayaan ko na sobrang saya ko kasi bumalik health nia.

Then this July she became lethargic and rapid weight loss. From 3.6kg down to 2.55kg in span of 3 weeks. Take note that halos every 3 days nasa vet na kami. By Aug  10, I was willing na to have her undergo the knife. Kaso nung iblood chem na bigla akong tinaggihan ng vet sabi malaki na msyado mass. Sabi sakin euthanize nalang kasi manghihina lang kung kukuhaan ng dugo, pero since I know my cat well nakikita ko na nilalabanan niya. Plus hindi naman siya hinang hina na parang bed ridden. Nakakatalon at kain pa siya. Sobra iyak ko that time kasi I love her so much.

So I decided to bring it to another trusted vet. Takang takang vet bakit daw ayaw kuhaan ng dugo sa PAWS. Kinapa ni Doc A, sabi magang maga ang kidneys. Nung lumabas na ang results it turns out na may tama kidney ng cat ko. Normal UREA is bet 3-9mmol l hers is 53 mmol l.  Nag bigay ng medications at precription diet. Tapos nalaman ko na mali pala ang fluids na nilalagay sakanya for subcutaneous sa PAWS Lactated ringers ay di pala pede sa cats with kidney problem dapat sodium chloride. Pati ang sabi sakin sa PAWS yung buong nakakapa ay mass yun pala namamaga ang kidney. From the start palang mali na pala ang ginagamot kaya tuloy lumama. Plus the vet in PAWS asked me if evr pwede niya bang iexplore katawan ng cat ko para malaman niya ano yung mass na yun. Feel ko tuloy kaya ayaw na niya gamutin para lang maexplore. Another is the result from xray, may possibility na yung mass is just a fatty deposit (in the stomach or uterus) kasi kung solid yung mass magkakaron ng outline sa film pero wala.
