^happened to my cat. Ang dark brown/orange niya nung new born siya up to 3 yrs old tapos napansin ko nagiging light orange na siya, akala ko nga nakakalbo or what pero hindi naman. Bakit kaya? kasi yung oldest cat ko, turning 9 this year hindi naman nagbago kulay.

@minatay91, no internal organs mapait kasi yun. No bones either mahirap na kung matinik mas malaki gastos kung ipapa-vet ko. Talagang himay yung fish kaya yung fish na hindi matinik ang pinapabili ko. Re raw fish, I've tried giving them sashimi (tuna and salmon). Some of my cats love it some naman hindi pinapansin. Pero yung cooked fish with kalabasa lahat sila gusto yun.

@VanillaKitty, meron RC Instinctive for adults. Naka-pouch sya with thin slices of meat with gravy din sya. I get mine sa Pet warehouse PH.

Re fur color, nagbabago talaga ang colors nila habang nagkaka-edad. My senior cats medyo faded na rin yung color ng fur nila.

gusto kase ng cats ko yung internal organs. Kahit tinapon na they go through the trash and eat it :/

Ask ko lang din mga sis. Ilang months pwede paliguan ang kitten? Sabi kasi ng vet sakin bawal pa si Nekko ko. 2 months old pa lang sya. Pero nung ni-rescue sya ng Tita ko, binanlawan sya sa gripo kase super dumi nya. Tinapon sya nung bata sa kanal Binilad lang daw sya sa araw after. White sya karamihan (orange yung ears & tail) and di ako kuntento sa pet wipes. Ilang months ba pwede paliguan ang kitten?

^No don't bathe the kitten yet unless super dumi or baho especially pag bagong rescue. And tama din na pinainitan agad sya kasi pwede mauwi sa sipon. Always keep the kitten dry and warm. Since they're still small hindi pa sila masyado maka-cope up sa cold weather. You can help to keep them warm by wrapping a hot water bottle with towel and keep it close to them inside their box.

As I always say cats are self-cleaning. They don't need regular bathing unless they're the long-hair breeds. For short-hairs pwede na to wipe them down with slightly damp, warm cloth. Make sure you clean their ears and trim their nails. Voila! Good as new! Lol!  Seriously though, cats groom themselves. They don't have to be mabango as to human standards. Kasi pansinin nyo as soon as you wipe them down they'll start grooming to put their own cat scent back on.

What do you recommend for cleaning cats' teeth? Any pet toothpaste brands that's good and worth the bucks?

Anyway, we have 4 remaining cats pa so super ingat na kami sa vets talaga. 😠

Do any of you know where to find affordable litter trays? Like large ones na I can buy around 3 or 4 na affordable? And affordable litter sand brands? We're using happy cat right now kasi walang ibang choices around us na worth the money. Around P300+ for ilang kilos na siya (1L na ata?). Something around that price and amount. 😂

I always see this ginger tabby cat outside our apartment lobby. Nakatambay siya for years sa labas ng gate parati kasama yung Mama cat at kittens niya. Sometimes siya lang nakikita ko doon at pagnakikita ko siya I always greet him with a "meow" and minsan nagrerespond rin siya with a meow. I think Ive grown closer to him. Gusto ko sana dalhin siya sa bahay namin para paliguan kasi he's dugyot looking at gusto ko rin pavaccine anti-rabies para less worries kasi he's a stray cat. problema ko lang is I'm deathly afraid of the possibility that he might attack and lash out. Baka pagdinala ko siya sa taas or kinarga ko siya i-scratch niya ko or kagatin and It's difficult for me kasi I'm a very anxious person I worry a lot that If he bites me, I'll get rabies. Plano ko sana painumin siya ng gamot pampatulog tsaka dalhin sa bahay namin ok lang ba yun? kung meron mang medicine available sa market na pang sedate ng cat? or do you have any other tips? I have never ever touched this cute cat because of my fear.

^oh please never use any meds not prescribed by a vet! If you really want to help the cat or better yet adopt him, have a carrier ready and try to coax him inside. Maganda lagyan mo ng cat food inside then pag nandun na sya bring him to the vet for check up and shots. But please never, never administer medicines not prescribed by a vet. You might end up poisoning the cat.

orangetabby, ang advice ko naman sayo huwag mo na lang siyang kunin.

everytime dadaan ka, pa-smell mo yung fingers mo para makilala ka then bigyan mo ng food. dahan-dahan i pet mo yung head; kapag sanay na, pet from head to tail. during that time chaka mo pagisipan kung gusto mo ngang kunin kasi kung nagse-stay sila diyan ibig sabihin may nagbibigay naman ng food.

for me lang, mas ok umampon nang mga strays na naghahanap ng home at nagpapa ampon talaga. sila yung mga nagme-meow sa tao sa mga bahay para manghingi ng food.

woooo just got my stray kitty neutered for 50 php! promo sa government
registration fee lang binayad. sayang walang kasamang mga vaccines for now..kase di pwede magneuter and rabies vacc at the same time.

everyone complimented how pretty my cat is clean, fat, black and white color,pinkish nose and paw pads <3

^ ayy naku sis promo siya sa barangay namin po dito sa mactan.. sorry, one day lang yun. I accidentally found out from a friend..like, not sure if mission ng vets/ soon-to-be vets or project ng barangay... mahirap siya i.find sis to be honest, wala usually sa internet nakaschedule, and the best way to find out is to ask the local barangay..and yung trouble din is, the barangay official will also say, "we dont know or depende lang sa volunteers and available budget for meds" and cant give you a date and time, unless it's happening soon. And apparently, they only have it "once" a year, depende sa availability ng graduating vets or registered vets. And they do not entertain mimings that are not puspins.. so if hindi local breed yung miming mo, they refuse and refer you to a private vet. They said the reason is to give them business also..but want to encourage responsible pet ownership to those who cannot afford private vets (like meeeee tee hee!)

But I doubt the competency of the barangay vet though, coz she doesnt believe my miming is a puspin kase malaki and sobrang linis daw and pinkish. pwede bang indoor cat and mataba lang? hahaa a vet should be able to recognize that naman

My advice sis is to try searching the internet if your city pound offers something like it.. and call them and tell them your concern..sa cebu city meron, but restricted to cebu city residents only. 150 na lahat. deworm, anti rabies, neuter, pwede mo din ipa.cut yung nails niya.. but they only do it on wednesdays.. :/ and may cut off din sila..

After some research here and there, I fell in love with the scottish fold breed.
But i can't seem to find one here in the Philippines.

Most people I know are dog-owners and know little about cats so i decided to ask around here.

Baka may nakakaalam naman kung saan ako makakahanap ng breed na to.
also how much do they usually cost? kinakabahan din ako sa cost kasi mukhang mahal pero pag iipunan ko and right now i'm doing research kung papaano magiging cat friendly ang house namin.

Picked up another calico kitten from the street last Monday! 

I have no idea how old she is so hindi ko pa pwede i-Frontline. She has so many fleas! She is on quarantine pa, she's temporarily living at the back of our house sa may laundry area. Hope she grows up to be a happy and healthy cat

i don't know if dito ba sa thread na ito ko dapat ikwento, hopefully baka may matutunan ang iba about it.

my husband and i have been taking care of a few stray cats for a couple of years now, pero once pa lang kami namatayan (heart attack) at second time pa lang ngayon.

last month, may orange cat kami na two days nawala at pagkita namin sa kanya parang wala sa sarili & tulog ng tulog. ang recommendation ng vet CBC, pero nagdecide kami na i-try na muna namin siya i-hydrate. nagwork naman pero yung too much sleeping niya ay nagpatuloy. napansin ko rin na parang nagiba yung eating habits at weird lang na hindi makatalon kahit sa table lang.

hindi na namin naibalik sa vet kasi nung papunta doon biglang kumawala at tumakbo. i think he passed away na. nasabi ko ito because yung isa pa naming cat na white and orange parang ganito rin ang nangyari...

two days rin nawala yung cat na ito, di kumain at natulog lang pagbalik. hindi naman namin pinagisipan ng masama kasi sa experience namin kapag masama ang pakiramdam magkukulong lang sila ng 1 day tapos kinabukasan balik na sa dati.

(we completely forgot about our orange cats signs/symptoms!) akala namin nagbago lang ng konti yung behavior, hindi pala. i wish we had known...akala namin kapag may sakit talagang hindi kakain at maglalaro. yun pala kahit may sakit na medyo serious, kakain pa rin (sporadic) at maglalaro (pero hindi lang sing active nung dati). akala rin namin yung paghaba ng tulog niya is laziness lang. bacterial na pala sakit niya. kinabahan na lang ako isang umaga parang iba ichura niya. tapos yun na...they tried to save him, 2 days siya nasa vet. nagdeteriorate na since. dehydrated na raw sabi ng vet pagkadala namin doon samantalang the day before that nakita pa siya ni hubby na nag drink ng water at kumain pa ng fish.

ano ba mga indicators para malaman na may sakit ang cats lalu na yung mga hindi mo aakalain? sabi ng vet ganyan daw talaga sila magaling magtago ng sakit.
