Your advisor did not assist you? I got my refund in 2 weeks. Basta complete ang papers mo sis,and faster if it's credit to account pa. May separate form  na dapat i-fill up if it's for credit. Kung cheque yan, they will deliver and will not allow pick up unless si advisor ang pipick up.

ibang klase talaga tong Axa.

fast forward today (after 2months!)

Me and hubby got AXA Lifebasix, 2 yrs na din kami na nagbbayad but I'm thinking of withdrawing the funds and transferring to another insurance company with an insured amount after a certain number of years, meron po ba nito? We also got Secure and Shield for our riders, anybody here who can advice what benefits you get if you have 2 insurance policies from different companies, I'm thinking of getting a life insurance with health protection/rider and investment at the same time, yung tipong my guaranteed amount kang makukuha lets say after 10 yrs.. hehe hope I'm making sense..

@loveleah, hi sis. What you have is a VUL, an investment-linked insurance. Unfortunately, may surrender charge ang mga VUL if you withdraw them during the early years.  You mentioned na 2 yrs pa lang kayo nagbabayad, hindi nyo pa maa-appreciate ang account value nyan since portion of early payments are divided between insurance premiums and investments. Im sure your advisor asked you your priorities for getting such.  Since it is a life insurance, you can attach a health protection rider. If your budget permits, I would suggest you add a new one but not to give up the old one.  Advantage for you is having a bigger income protection (life insurance coverage), especially if you move to your next stage like having kid/s, and more funds to look forward to during retirement. If you intend to get the funds in 10yrs, I suggest top-ups, or a single-pay VUL will do. But if you give the old policy, sayang naman yung naumpisahan nyo sis.

@D4thAngel thank you po sa reply, yan din na isip ko na sayang naman yung na umpisahan namin, so maybe mag add nalang ako ng insurance/investment from another company, but for myself nalang, okay na ang AXA for hubby , ano pong top up for me to get the funds in 10 yrs ? thanks again

question regarding VUL: anyone here nakapagwithdraw na sa account nila and nagstop na sa payment? i mean, i was told kasi na after N years, pwede na daw ako magstop sa monthly payment. though magstop na yung earning ng investment side, pero continuous pa din ang coverage ng life insurance. tapos pede ako magwidraw ng paunti unti like sa mga debit card. (baka di ko naelaborate mabuti. sensya.  :-\ ) is it true? until when kaya? mag 3rd year na ako this year eh. tia!

@loveleah, sis if you can do top ups equal to your premium during the first 5 years, mas ok, para lang ma-cover yung premium charges during those years. If you will check the proposal in your policy, maaaring maliit pa ang value nya after 10 years unless lumipad talaga ang stock market.  Sis, may loyalty bonus pa yan on year15. You may opt to stop paying after 10 years, then leave it to earn more for another 5 years.

After 5 years, di mo pa ma-appreciate yung funds mo vs. yung payments mo, kasi during the first few years, your payments are divided between premium and investment. Pwede ka mag-stop payment, pero yung natitira mong funds will pay the insurance coverage. So go back sa "why" mo kung bakit nag build-up ka ng VUL. Long-term investment sya sis. Check mo sa contract yung premium holiday. Pwedeng dun ka na mag- stop payment.

^hi sis! hindi ako masyado naadvise re surrender charges. pero ang tanda ko nga is 5years daw na tuloy tuloy na bayad. hindi kasi ako sure nung una if 5yrs or 10yrs.

anyway, you mean to say, after 5years, continuous payment pa din ako para hindi maubos yung funds ko? BUT i have the option na magwithraw pero may charges pa din?

I checked the contract, it says: "Premium Holiday- Premiums are paid throughout the life of your Policy, buy you have the option to suspend anytime as long as the Account Value is sufficient to cover these." So, forever na ba ito? or until 65yrs old?

Naobserved ko din sa contract na magiging PAYMENT < LIVING BENEFIT, (a) 10years if 10% Rate of Return, (b) 15yrs if 8% ROR and (c) 20yrs if 4% ROR. projected lang yan.

Also, (sorry mejo noob itong question ko) mamamaximize ko lang ba itong insurance if (a) if i reached 15th and 25th year kasi may loyalty bonus daw when i reached that years, (b) i reached 65 years old ALIVE and (c) if i died earlier??? BWAHAHA.

Sis, pwede ma-delay or ma-deny due to health conditions, ma deny depending sa age, sa nature ng work or activities, at kung saan ang location ng insured person. Example- yung isang pregnant person, maghihintay muna ng certain period after giving birth bago i-approve ang application. At the end of the day, business pa din yan.

So dapat kuhanin natin ang insurance young and healthy pa tayo. Kasi by the time na kailangan na natin ito, maaaring di na tayo insurable.

@pretty_B, sis for the first 5 years may surrender charges yan. In fact yung first 2 years wala ka talaga makukuha if you stop your payments. After 5 years, yes pwede ka na mag-withdraw.

Kung 10yrs yung kinuha mo, ideally iwan mo pa for another 5 years para may bonus pa. Pwede mo ituloy ang payments beyond 10 yrs dahil basically you are building up your investment funds. Life Basix ba yan or Axelerator? If Life Basix kasi, I suggest tapusin mo na lang 10 years tutal naumpisahan mo na.  Kung Axelerator, pwede ka na stop after 5 years, then suggest iwan mo for another 5 years.

Yes, maganda na the funds will stay for certain years to avail of the loyal bonuses. But it doesn't mean na hindi mo na pwede bawasan ng partial. May computation naman ang company based on the average fund value sa isang particular na period.  Do it long term sis, para ma-appreciate mo ang growth ng investment. If it's for retirement, I suggest keep it that way, dun mo na lang i-withdraw. Build up a separate fund na lang for emergencies. Check mo yung proposal, ang ganda ng projection when you reach retirement age.
