Girl, give it a try muna. Pag di okay sa first meeting, eh wala ng kasunod pa, di ba? Pag ayos, eh di ang saya! <3 And yeah, just be yourself.

una't sa lahat, as someone who also works in a call center, parang hindi ba dapat mas confident ka? isipin mo na lang long call yan and daanin mo sa rapport si kuya.

second, I agree with what bro AVIDGOLFER said. You met him online. Remember in the interwebs, you can be who you want to be. Studying Japanese? Eh ano naman? Sa halagang 3,500 makakapag aral ka na ng any Asian language sa panahon ngayon (I'm also a Nihongo student, btw).

lastly, basis mo that he's coño is because he speaks Taglish? and you haven't met the guy yet. Wag ka muna mag-assume, teh. Remember when you assume.. you make an a-- out of (well you know how it is, laging tinuturo yan sa call center training, right?).

If (well siguro at this point nagkita na kayo) the time comes for you to meet up, relax lang, just be yourself. It's always easy to spot someone who's dying to impress other people. So, kalma lang. :)

if he asked u several times already then go girl!
sometimes, we overthink too much we forget that we won't get answers unless we act on it.

would you run away from that possibility?
kaya go girl! ikaw din, sige ka baka masulot pa yan. hehe

Guys are not the most complicated people on earth. I have a guy friend, conyo as can be, he's dating this girl na alam naman naming lahat ay hindi pareho ng social status nya. Pero ubod ng ganda naman talaga. Yun lang, pag nagsalita, parang Marianne Rivera, if you know what I mean. Tingnan mo nga si Marianne, di mo naman masasabi na ka level nya si DingDong, but they're together. What can we say? Chick si Marianne e. So I guess it works out in the end and everybody's happy. Go for it!

I am good friends with Dingdong's youngest sister and all I can say is mali yung perception ng tao sa kanya. Yung sis sya, she praises Marian a lot and so does their family. They really love her.

Honestly, I find him lame. IDK how you found out all those details about him, pero kung sinabi nya yun sayo lahat - well, I think nagpapa-impress lang sya at nagmamayabang. Also, I find filipino's na OA, kung makataglish pag chat o kausap. I've been in the California for four years pero I would talk to filipinos straight tagalog.. weird lang ba't need pa magenglish, diba?

Anyway, wag mo sya masyadong tignan na sobrang taas nya. Pare-pareho lang tayo. Unless lahat ng kayamanan nya ngayon e binili from his own hard work - e dun ka maimpress. Let us know kung nakipagmeet kana nga sa kanya. :)

hi guys, I appreciate all the comments and advice that I get from you
but I must say again, him speaking in taglish is not my only basis for tagging him a conyo

anyway, after cancelling every time dahil sa work and other important things
we will meet tomorrow lunch time, i won't say date anymore since this is just a "meet & greet" thing

Good luck TS.

But just for future reference, if you went ahead and met him even before, then there would never have been any need for this thread.  Best way to know what you will be facing is to actually do the facing.

my point here sis here is i was able to hack it out. i was able to relate. minsan mas masaya pa ako kasama sila. why? kasi marami sa kanila genuine na tao. hindi pera pinaiiral. marami pang understanding.

so there's still hope. malay mo bukas na siya di ba. so meet and get to know him.

and if you're inclined sa kanya, love is very much possible. my dad's family was very rich and he fell for a humble girl, my mom.  ;)

I like sarah29's answer.

Also, I think some conyo kids nagkataon lang that they were born into rich families. Period. The money that they spend are from their parents, not from their own hard work. There is no honor in spending what is not yours. But that's just me. I have more respect for the self-made.

(Pero if his parents raised him well, taught him the value of work, and lahat ng ginagamit nya to finance his interests and hobbies are his talaga, then great.)

usually during/after University dyan na nagsisimula para sa mga nakararami para mag banat ng buto. at pag nagkatrabaho na, doon nagiging humble. yung mga sobrang mayayabang kong batchmates from HS eh pinaghuhunting ng mga fraternities nung freshmen. i think they do that a lot. at ayun naging humble din. yung talagang mayayabang nakakahanap ng katapat.

sa akin person to person basis dapat. conyo is actually a derogatory slang word. lagi kami pinapagalitan ng mga Spaniards naming mga teachers and school officials pag naririnig nila yung word na yun.

@akthung true bro the conyo term if my grandma hears us use that to describe someone she would tell us stop. Then she explained to us the real meaning of that word.

Anyways to TS, see it isnt that bad di ba. At least nakita at nakaharap mo sya in person, nalaman mo if may spark or wala. :) im happy for you kasi ma overcome mo yung fear mo of rejection kasi feeling mo di ka worth is kasi medyo angat sya sa buhay... :) good job sis!

ilovejdy, was there a spark? kung BI naman ok lang at least hindi gay diba? :)

conyo kasi is used here in the philippines differently but you'd be surprised how it really means.
