Zack, our pet rabbit died last Saturday night  :'( dinala namin siya sa Pet Valley yesterday. it was so hard to say goodbye. my daughter was crying so much. i wanted to be strong for my daughter pero ako din umiiyak kasi i really love Zack. sa tanda kong ito, siya ang una kong pet. ayaw na muna magalaga ng daughter ko ng pet for now. sabi kasi niya wala daw makakareplace kay Zack. even husband ko na hindi emotional na tao nalungkot din. kahapon nung nag grocery kami ikukuha pa niya dapat si Zack ng gulay  :'( tapos naalala niya na wala na pala..

no goodbyes Zack. mommy will miss you so much  :'( :'( :'( and you will always be in our hearts. We love you!  :-*

george died 3:00am of february 12. he would've been 10yrs. old this coming march 16..i opted for mass burial kasi hindi ko kaya makita siya lifeless. babay ko talaga eh.he sleeps on my bed, when i work gusto nya nasa top ng table ko din siya ( i work from home kasi).wherever i go sa house nandun din (kahit sa banyo ha) hirap. sabi ko nga sa friends ko sobrang bigat sa puso...trying to be strong for my other dog baka kasi ma depress but george was my first pet...

it was an unexpected death kasi kaya mas mahirap tanggapin.

how do you guys deal? i see so many pet owners na maraming pets..is the pain worth it? sobrang painful kasi talaga.'til now, i can't stop crying..

hi guys.. My only son (shih tzu) will turn 3 this June 2016. He is my first pet ever.. All i can say is magpakatatag kayo and mag pray i think thats only thing we can do.. I salute all the fur mommies who loved their pet unconditionally. God bless us all.. I love you my son! Pls live as long as mommy is around.. Plsss...

This was my emtry in my blog i just copy paste kasi di pwede mag post nang link.

If you are a dog lover, I hope you would take the time to read this entry. All I need right now is the consolation and company (even online) of a fellow dog lover.

Yesterday, August 26, 2016 my pet dog, Herbie, has passed on to the next divide. He was a family to us for 5 happy years. He came into our lives in 2011. I was scared of dogs because I was chased by a dog when I was 6 years old and that trauma has stayed with me ever since. I know that dogs are beautiful creatures to take care of and so October of 2011 I decided to take in Herbie. He was named Herbie because by the time he was delivered by (he was given..I didn't buy him) our neighbor into our home, my mother and I were watching the movie Herbie Fully Loaded. Yes, the Volkswagen car Herbie. Same with other dogs, he was loving and fully protective of our home. He was closest to me. I was his Ate. My mom was his Mama.

HAD I KNOWN...
Herbie was still not vaccinated with anti-rabies but don't you worry guys he was a good dog and haven't harmed or bitten anyone. There was a free vaccination in our barangay last August 25, 2016. Before he was vaccinated, he was already not feeling well. He was a bit weak and he didn't ate his dog food. He would only eat if I feed him with my hands like a baby. I told my mom to proceed on with the vaccination and at the same time have him checked with the vets. Sadly, I think the only main goal of government vets is to control the population of dogs and cats around the country. The vet who attended to Herbie didn't assess him if he was fully conditioned to be vaccinated with anti-rabies and at the same time to be neutered considering his old age. After the surgical procedure was done, Herbie was so weak due to the anesthesia, the stress of surgery and the anti-rabies vaccination. Ok so they say that's normal.

When I arrived from work last August 25, 2016, my heart just broke at the sight of him. He doggy cried (silently but I still heard him) when I arrived. Even if he was so weak he still stood up just to greet me at the gate. His face was so weak and full of pain but his tail wagged so happily from left to right. I told him to not stress himself and lay back again for him to relax.

I accompanied him thru the night. There was this bad instinct I felt at the sight of him. There was blood near his organs due to the surgical procedure that was done but my friends said it was normal. So I relaxed but the bad instinct stayed. I didn't want to go to sleep because I just want to be with him. If I could just sleep beside him all thru out I had already done it. My mom went home to our province and told her to go back in the city as early as possible the next day because I don't want to leave Herbie in that position when I go to work the next morning.

The day HERBIE LEFT US....
Morning of August 26, 2016, I woke up and the first thing I checked was Herbie. He was still weak and the sight of blood just scared me even more. They say it is normal for a dog to be weak 2-3 days after the anti-rabies vaccination and neutering but that bad instinct never left. My mom and I let him took the prescribed medicines. Anti-biotics for his surgical wound and ascorbic acid for his immune system.

When I left for work, I was at the gate and took a last look at Herbie. He looked at me too and that was the last image I had of him. Until now I still imagine that look and I can see the pain in his eyes. It was my last encounter with Herbie.

My mom left for work too. I texted her 12:21 PM:

At noon, she went back home to attend to Herbie. My mom said his condition didn't improve. She stayed by his side all afternoon and that one text message confirmed that bad instinct I felt the night before. My mom texted me 3:24 PM:

"Inday, tawaga department of vet medicine and fisheries. Kutasan man Herbie" (Inday, please call the department of vet medicine and fisheries. Herbie is always out of breath.)

I called them but there was no doctor available. There was no one I could ask why Herbie's situation was like that. I texted my mom to always hydrate Herbie with water and texted her again 4:25 PM asking how Herbie was and that I will be calling again the Department of Vet Medicine but my mom replied at 4:45 PM:

"Inday, sorry au RIP na Herbie. Ako na ipalubong. Maka uli ka sau?" (Inday, sorry Herbie has RIP. I will arrange his burial. Will you be able to go home early?)

I was still at work when I received the message. I BAWLED. I never felt so much pain before. My father and lolo already passed away but it is a different pain when you get to be with them EVERY SINGLE DAY. My mom and dad were separated so I didn't get to spend much time with my father. My lolo lives in our province so I always don't see him everyday. With Herbie, it's different. I get to see this loving dog everyday! Who always waited for me to get back from work at the end of the day! Who happily wags his tail whenever he sees me!

HEARTBREAKINGLY SILENT....
When I went home after work, my tears would just fall. I rode a taxi since I know I will still be bawling out of Herbie's death. I didn't want to ride a jeepney. When I arrived home, my mom was cleaning Herbie's place where he stayed when he was still alive.

I stopped at the gate looked at my mom and looked at that empty space with no Herbie laying down and I cried like a baby. I decided to just let my mom proceed with Herbie's burial. I think I couldn't take watching Herbie dead. It was so eerily silent when I arrived home last night. There was a death atmosphere within our home. My mom and I lost a family member.

Now an EMPTY SPACE...
In my blog i posted a photo of his place in our home

Herbie, ate Darling will always love you, miss you and remember you until eternity. I'm sorry you had to die in pain. ='( You will always be my one and only baby dog.
I love you, Herbie. ='(

Sabi nila,"Moving on takes time but sometimes it takes more time." Honestly, you never really move on. You just accept it.  I know it is hard but you have to. When my first dog died, I was devastated.

My little 6 y/o chihuahua died in the province... Namatay last June 2016 yung bff nya.

yesterday our dog Howl crossed the rainbow bridge. he was only 9 months battling with severe anemia. misdiagnosed with worms daw sa unang vet niya. after our wedding, we adopted him habang wala pa anak siya muna. he was our source of joy after a stressful day at work.ang sarap sa pakiramdam na may naghihintay sayo pag uwi, may tatabi sayo sa pagtulog at maglalambing. although sometimes super naughty niya (he's a beagle) pag uwi ko sa bahay napakagulo ng kwarto namin. he taught me patience. and yung time na nakunan ako, he was my therapist, my comforter, my companion. because of him nakarecover ako agad.

I miss you Howl, no more pokes, no more medicines, no more pain. Papa and Mama love you sooo much!

Condolence sis.  :'( :'( :'( :'(

there's a good chance we will be putting to sleep our favorite baby girl Sachi this weekend (Shih Tzu). She just turned 1 this September. She had high fever for 3 days straight with non stop recurrence of seizure. She was brought to a famous 24 hour pet care clinic morning of Day 2 pero after 24 hours hindi man lang nila nastabilize yung body temperature nya. (I even asked kung ano diagnosis nila since lahat naman ng test nagawa na nila, ang ginawa lang ng doctor eh nag google sa harap ko at dun sya naghahanap ng sasabihin sakin na diagnosis, pero ending HINDI DAW NILA ALAM since her tests were normal.. WTF!)..

so finally day 4 nilipat na naming sya sa recommended vet samin. in less than 30 mins nastabilize agad ni doc temp nya, however it's too late. Day 5 ngayon and the vet called me to let me know na ginawa na nya lahat pero although she made a huge progress, nagsseizure padin sya whenever someone touches her. so sabi ni doc, there's already a brain damage which he no longer can repair since ang brain is very sensitive part of the body and doesn't rejuvenate.

iuuwi na naming sya later, hoping na there would be a miracle na mas gagaing sya sa bahay and eventually be back to normal. if all efforts fail, come Saturday we will have to say goodbye to her  :'(

Hi sis thank you for asking, sadly we lost her that day. hindi na nya talaga kaya so she was put to rest. ang sakit because everyone misses her. pero siguro ganun talaga, maybe her purpose is really to bring the two puppies in this world. and she fulfilled it na.

also because of what happened to her, mas naging observant kame sa kinikilos ng dogs namin. madami kameng natutunan. her life was short but very meaningful.

We lost our Piolo, 14 years old Pomeranian last Nov 5 at 2:37 am. He was our very first pet. I got him when I was 1st year hs, gift siya sakin ni boyfie nung nanliligaw sakin. Kwento ko dito what happened just to warn other pet parents out there. This will be very long though.

So I have no choice but to force feed him. That night irritable na siya. Same attitude nung year 2013 at 2015 na naconfined siya due to liver and kidney problems.

We tried calling their old number pero not working na. Sa PRTC naconfine si Piolo noon and the doctors are really good.

When we arrived there hinahap namin si Doc Albert pero his juniors told us na on vacation until nov 3. We told him medical history ni Piolo. He injected antibiotic for the ubo and sipon, expectorant para ilabas daw ang phlegm and vitamins for the appetite. At nagbigay siya ng oral meds. Ibalik daw si Piolo in 3-4 days pag same condition padin.

Inuwi namin si Piolo then umalis kami to buy him cerelac for force feeding. When we got home super amoy na amoy yung gamot sa buong bahay.

By 9pm ayaw niya padin talaga kumain. So sabi niya wait nalang niya yung senior nila.

Nov 2- by 11am we visited him.

So inshort tengga lang talaga dog namin dun. HA? BAKIT VERY LOW? eh dinala namin malaks pa. tas ngayong kukunin hinang hina na.

Buong gabi salitan kami.

After giving first aid ininterview na niya kami ano nangyare.

Vet (Doc H) from Congressional Animal Clinic misdiagnosed our dog with just ubo and sipon.

After the surgery sabi niya inflamed both kidneys ni Piolo pati rin ang liver. But pray daw for miracle if not he will opt for euthanasia.

By 11am pumunta na kami dun. Sabi ni doc nung time for his meds kumakahol nanaman daw. Parang nakikipagusap.

As much as possible sa trusted vet lang magpapainject ng meds. Para wag magaya samin. Some might say na matanda na kasi dog namin kaya namatay pero last year mas malala pa itsura niya pero nagamot siya sa PRTC. Although we still have other pets at home sobrang sakit padin.

Until now I feel bad for my dog. :(

Hello mga sis.  Just sharing our pet story.  Last April, ubo at sipon siya. Blood test result may kidney and liver damage. Both eyes affected na.  Yesterday ang suggestion ng vet is euthanasia.  Paglabas ko ng clinic talaga umiyak ako.  Para kasi hindi ko kaya.  Ngayun andito siya tabi ko.  I'm still thinking kung sundin ang suggestion ng vet  :'(

sabi ng iba mag move on lang daw. Pero for me, sobrang hirap. mas masakit pa nga yata to kesa sa mga naging breakups ko with my exes. not kidding though. I lost my fur baby last February pero until now it hurts me parin kapag naaalala ko and kapag namimiss ko sya. Sobrang love ko yung baby kong yun, she died because of mites. The day na naconfine sya, I was out of town, so when I went back home, dinalaw ko sya. I told the vet to do kung ano man yung sa tingin nya na makakapag pagaling sa baby ko. Pero Feb12, I lost her. Super sakit. Iba kasi kapag super love mo talaga. Actually hindi ko din alam yung sagot sa tanong mo dito sis, kung paano ka mag deal with loss of pet. Siguro time? Let yourself have the time to accept. Masakit, oo kasi most of us tinuring na yung pets natin as part of the family. Pero wala eh, just like us humans, they need to go din. and siguro isipin nalang natin na kung nasan man sila ngayon, mas masaya dun, wala nang sakit and marami na silang makakalarong other dogs.

pero hindi ko talaga alam. huhu. just by writing this naiiyak ako kasi namimiss ko nanaman baby ko. :(

For me, it took time bago ako nagkaroon ng new dog, kasi parang sa nangyari, ayoko nang maulit or maranasan yung same pain over and over again kapag dun sa new dog naman mangyare yun. Pero wala eh, I really love dogs and I really love living with dogs, it did help lessen the pain, kasi may bago nang mangungulit sayo, may bago nang maghihintay sayo, may bago ka nang kalaro, pero somehow, there's still this hole in your heart kasi namimiss mo parin yung isa.
