Credit Card Debts

Hi mga Sis,

Anyone tried settling their credit card debts with the banks? I mean, narealized ko lang kasi na for the past 3 years I've been paying the interest lang halos. Umaabot ng 6K interest ko per month for 2 of my cards. Naipon siya since I had to use them nung naOndoy and then college tuition ng brother ko. Now that I can say that I am obligation "free", gusto ko sanang i-settle and ipa-installment ng one time yung debts ko then pay ko siya siguro for 2 years. Possible ba yun? Parang never ending kasi eh anong petsa na tapos ganun pa din kalaki utang ko sa kanila. Tsk.

i think that is possible. my card is citibank. i have a balance of 9k then they contacted me to have it distributed in 6 mos so you can avoid paying the whatever balance fee it is. hindi pa ako aware na may gantong process buti na lang they called me and offered it to me.

^^ Yes, its possible sis yufa, I am a living testimony. Sis, try to inquire from the credit card issuer if they have an ongoing promo or just let them know that you intend to pay them but just needed help. You can PM me just in case so maybe I can help you out and let's email each other. Nothing is more stressful for me than CC debts.

check with banks if they offer debt consolidation, it's applying for a loan and they send out checks to fully pay your other expenses and you only need to pay the bank directly. there might also be other lenders who do this but if you do find a company or a bank that does make sure it's fixed interest. study there terms they have.  usually bi-weekly payments are good if they offer that or if  your pay cycle will allow you to work around those terms.

Hi mga sis.  I actually sent an email to both of my credit card companies last Sunday kaso naman the only reply I got is that they will get back to me. I am probably going to wait for a week then what? Hmm...Parang gusto ko sabihin na kaya ko to ginagawa kasi gusto kong maayos sa kanila and unlike yung iba tumatakbo lang sa utang. I have the intention of paying naman. Yun nga lang, installment.

BPI sis you can pay your cc bills through installment plan. i had a 50k debt last year and i applied through the plan and now tapos na siya. credit card debt free na ako  as long the amount youre going to lend can be covered ng credit limit mo, pwede yun. and sobrang liit lang ng interest. ganyan din prob ko before. parang interest lang kasi binabayaran ko. kaya happy now wala ako ako utang

^ balance conversion sis for citibank (if you are using citibank).
so you won't waste your money paying just the interest.

i also need help, i have a CC debt sa BDO, nainis kasi ako sa collections agent na nakausap ko kaya sabi ko bahala kayo di ko na babayaran maliit lang naman. kaso ngayon we are applying for a housing loan sa PSbank factor daw ito para di ma-approved so i was thinking of paying it nalang. Diba may inooffer sila na kunwari pay the half nalang. san ba ako tatawag to coordinate? sa BDO pa din ba? hindi ko na kasi alam name ng collections company na tumatawag sakin eh.

Meron na po ba dito pumayag may maki-ride sa card nila and ended up na hindi pala mabayaran yun outstanding balance, ang ending araw-araw na tumatawag ang mga ahente para maningil.

I know it's my fault bakit ako pumayag... pero wala na kong magagwa eh, nandun na nasira na yun record ko dahil sa ilang buwan na di nila pagbayad.

Gustong-gusto ko na ibigay yun number nung talagang may utang para yun na ang tawagan nila, kaso nasa pangalan ko yun card. And hindi ako sure if allowed silang gawin yun.

Need some advice.

^ sad to hear that sis but since it is your name in the card, you will be the one responsible for the amount. besides it will be against your credit rating. i suggest you contact the person who owed you if they can't pay it, i hope you can agree on an amt that they can pay on a monthly basis. this happened to me and i learned the hard way. goodluck!

Lesson learned na talaga to. Kaya advice lang sa iba, wag na wag kayo papa-ride kahit na sino pa sila... kahit kamag-anak!

Question po, what to do with East West na hindi na nya nabayaran (just trying to help a friend), now yung mga legal dept. are calling her. Sabi ko makipag settle, i just dont know how to help her. Meron ako nabasa before wag makipag settle daw sa mga law firm ba yun, it's better sa bank? Can you please advise kung ano best and how to do it. She's a mom of 4 and I really want to help her, i hope you guys could too!

Naku just trying my luck here.  May ongoing program din kaya ang HSBC katulad ng sa BPI and Citibank regarding CC payment? Sana may makasagot haha thanks!

nung magbf-gf pa lang kami ni hubby ko, dami nya utang sa CC e 3 pa yun. E ako di nga ako kumukuha kasi takot ako sa utang. so lagi ko sya sinasabihan iclose na namin. nung nagpakasal kami, kinlose na namin talaga kaya lang ngayon meron na naman kasi kaka-uber nya. sabi ko ngayong sahod iclose na nya ulit. sana matapos na. pero magtitira kami 1 active card for emergency purposes only.

I started receiving phone calls and texts nung Nov last year and I immediately called Metrobank about this. They told me to just ignore it. Maski yung mga collecting agents na tumatawag sa cp ko, sinabi ko na rin na hindi ako yan at wala akong ganyang cc. I have several cc's with Metrobank pero hindi ako yang hinahanap nila.

Base sa mga nababasa ko collector yung mga ganyang nanghaharass like takutin ka nila etc. Ang bank kasi padalhan ka lang ng notices. At if ever nga na pumunta sila sa bahay mo or kitain ka personally be ready na lang sa mga documents mo para ma-prove na hindi ikaw yung hinahanap nila
