Kagagaling lang namin sa Cebu city noong Sunday, galing kami ng Dumaguete.

Kahit mahaba yung byahe from Liloan, Santander to Cebu City, sobrang na-enjoy ko yung scenery. Ang ganda ng dagat, sobrang linaw. White din ang sand. igo-goal ko next time ang Southern Cebu.

Anyway, dumating kami sa south terminal ng mga 1:15pm. From there, nag-taxi kami hanggang SM to check-in our baggage sa Traveler's Lounge. P100 'yung taxi. 'Yung sa lounge naman, P50 lang 'yung dalawang 30L Columbia bags, hanggang 8:30pm na

Gusto sana namin sa Choobi Choobi mag-lunch, kaya lang past 2pm na kami nakarating sa F. Cabahug branch nila. Nagsasara pala sila kapag patay na oras. So sa Rico's lechon kami napunta, 'yung branch na malapit sa Sykes bldg. Masarap din ang lechon, P530~ 'yung isang kilo. 1/2 kilo lang inorder namin pero sobra sobra na sa 2 pax. Hindi ko naman ma-compare sa ibang lechon sa Cebu kasi 'yun lang ang litsunan na nakainan namin.

Sa city tour, nag-research ako ng DIY walking tour. Ito 'yung finollow namin. Under renovation pala ang Casa Gorordo Museum, nasira noong lindol.

So sa Yap Sandiego Ancestral House kami nagsimula. Super nag-enjoy kami rito. Kahit medyo creepy siya, napaka-interesting ng mga bagay bagay sa loob and katuwa 'yung guide haha.

Maglalakad na dapat kami sa susunod na site, pero biglang umulan. Napagtanto naming umarkila na lang ng taxi. Nakuha namin si kuya Lito (09227072859). Ang napagusapan eh P500 'yung isang oras, 3 kami. Akala namin sobra na 'yung isang oras sa tour, bitin pala. Umabot kami ng halos 2 hours. Pero sobrang bait ni kuya Lito, hindi nagpadagdag. Binigyan namin ng 550, binabalik pa sa amin 'yung 50!

Anyway, after noong ancestral house, nagpunta kami sa mga churches. Ang OA ng tao, grabe. Kahit umuulan, hindi nagpapigil sa pagsisimba. Doon naman sa Magellan's Cross, hindi ako masyadong natuwa. Ang dami kasing tao and super persistent touts. Mali lang siguro 'yung araw ng punta namin.

Saglit lang kami sa Fort San Pedro, nagpahatid na kami agad sa Tabo-an Market para bumili ng dried pusit and daing. Ang mahal ng pusit?! P650/kilo ang bentahan nung flat na pusit, P580 yung pahaba, tapos P550 naman ang danggit. Sa Pangasinan nasa 400/kilo lang ang pusit kaya naloka ako sa presyuhan nila sa Cebu. Anyway, bumili pa rin ako haha.

After noon, nagpahatid na kami sa Larsian at kumain ng early dinner. In fairness ha, ang mura. P4 ang puso, P5 ang small BBQ, P15 ang big BBQ. Okay na rin, kaya ang daming tao. May taping pa ng food show noong nagpunta kami.

From Larsian, nagpahatid na kami sa SM para magpahinga saglit bago pumunta sa airport (P180 ang taxi from SM to airport).

Nag-enjoy din naman ako sa city kahit saglit lang. Sobrang nakakatuwa ang taxi drivers sa Cebu, ang babait! Nagsusukli rin sila! Nagbigay kami ng 100 dun sa 96 na metro, sabi namin kay kuya keep the change. Sobrang thank you siya. Nakakatuwa. Tapos pagbalik namin dito sa Manila, 'yung nakuha naming taxi humirit ng +100 sa metro. Biglang na-miss ko ang Cebu!

Balik ako soon, probably to explore either the Northern or Southern part of the island

^fave ko yang rico's sis. mas masarap kesa ibang brand. kalasa kasi sya ng lechon na niluluto namin pag fiesta di ko rin ma-gets bakit uber mahal na ng mga dried fish sa cebu kaya never na rin akong bumili na pasalubong mas dagsa pa ang tao sis kung nataon na before sinulog kayo pumunta, dami talagang deboto

beach_n_sunsets, it appears like you guys pretty much figured out what to do. In fact, I have to commend you... I have been here a good number of years, but I have never been to that Yap Sandiego Ancestral House that you mentioned. So, I am inspired to check that out. Perhaps this weekend, just so I have a better grasp of what Cebu is all about. And yes, you guys should head back again to explore more of the Southern and Northern areas of Cebu. Definitely well worth it!!!

Thanks, sis rocky and sis insanelypurpleprincess! Will stay overnight at Chateau de Tan-awan na lang, super early kasi my arrival (7:05AM) so para hindi naman ako super bugbog sa byahe kung babalik ako agad sa city ng hapon.

Will check out Tingko Beach, Boljoon and the neighboring towns na lang siguro sa hapon pagdating ko kung kaya pa ng powers ko.

Quick question, please! Need your help! We're going to Moalboal in June. 10:30pm ang dating namin sa Mactan airport. May bus pa ba ng ganung oras going to Moalboal? Gusto ko na sana lumuwas in the evening para reserved na ang energy for the island-hopping kinabukasan.

Kasi kung overnight sa Cebu City tapos kinabukasan pa luluwas tapos derecho island-hopping, parang ang exhausting. So kung may bus naman ng ganung oras, go na kami!

Pwedeng option din siguro is rent a cab from the airport to Moalboal.

^kaso ang layo non sis, 2-3 hours. syempre hindi papayag yong taxi na metered lang, kasi wala na syang makukuhang pasahero pabalik ng city

Nabasa ko somewhere na parang 1500 to 2000 ang presyuhan ng renta ng taxi to Moalboal. So pick your own poison na lang kumbaga - haggard sa byahe kinabukasan or mataas na taxi rate

meimei, no personal experience in terms of commuting to Moalboal, so no idea about bus or van schedules. Anyway, whenever we drive out to Moalboal, the latest we leave the city is at around 6pm, so we kinda get there 9pm or so at the latest. The road leading to Moalboal is alright naman for night travel. An option you can take is to rent a van or car perhaps? One that can pick you up from the Airport and drive you straight to Moalboal. Make sure to make a prior booking also as to where you're staying since finding available rooms is not fun so late at night. If you get the 24 hour rental, that van should be good from 10.30pm that night of your arrival until the next night, so you get to be back in the city na. I just assumed na overnight lang kayo in Moalboal right?

Grabe sisses, thanks! Yeah around 2000-2500 pala ang private van rental (5pax kami so baka di payagan in 1 taxi). I'm with budget travelers so baka mamahalan sila.. sagutin ko na lang kalahati. Haha ayaw ko talaga ma-haggard kinabukasan. Maarte lang.

Nag-reply sakin si Kuya Dodong, 4hrs lang pala ang snorkeling! Akala ko whole-day. So makapag-Oslob pa pala sa umaga. Here's our revised itinerary:

Jun 27: Arrive in Cebu at 22:20, get private transfer to Moalboal

Jun 28:
Oslob in the morning
Moalboal snorkeling in the afternoon (may sardines and pawikan pa raw in the afternoon, pero yung dolphins malabo na. Isipin ko na lang, i can see dolphins in many other places pero ang whale sharks limited lang)

Jun 29:
9:00-16:00 Canyoneering at Montaleza Falls by Planet Action Adventure
16:00-17:30 Private transfer to Cebu City c/o Planet Action
19:30-21:00 Lechon foodtrip at Cebu City (CNT or Rico's)

Jun 30: Departure to Manila at 4:10

^ Looks like you got it all figured out. Hopefully, weather will be great by then. Pray for that ahead since it does get unpredictable starting end May. As for the choice to hire a private transfer to Moalboal, sounds like it's the best option since super packed your schedule. You're here late at night on a Saturday and you already leave by dawn of Tuesday. Just post away for other questions, but you've really clearly planned ahead na!

Sarap balik balikan ang Cebu. Last year sa City at Oslob kami. Maganda ang Oslob malapit sa lahat - Whale shark, Tumalog Falls, Baluarte and Sumilon Island. Nanghinayang lang ako sa day tour in Sumilon Island. Okay lang yun place nakakarelax at sand bar pero kulang sa wow factor like food at wala kami nakitang magagandang fish, sea urchin lang. Fave part ko yun nakakuha ako ng picture na heart-shaped cloud sa Baluarte.

Next week, Moalboal at Badian kami. Siningit lang sa Bohol Tour namin. May nakapagtry na sa inyo ng Canyoning?  And madami ba boatman sa Moalboal for snorkeling wala pa kasi reply yun contact namin. Thanks

^ Never tried Canyoning in the past, so no idea how that goes.
However, for the case of snorkeling / diving in Moalboal, there's a lot of boatmen you can hire even if you don't pre-book, but again, having a contact ahead of time cuts down the time spent for negotiating na. Have a fabulous time in Moalboal and Badian!!!

Mga Sis patulong naman sa itinerary for 3D/2N. Feb 28-Mar1 kami andun sa Cebu. Ang gusto lang namin mapuntahan ni bf is Bantayan Island + Sky Adventure. Kung may excess time mag libot libot lang sa city. Arrival namin sa cebu is 4:30 am at departure sa 3rd day is 10PM. Thank you

^ Sis, around 5 hours ang travel to Bantayan.  I think better if dumerecho na kayo dun when you arrive in Cebu then do the other activities pagbalik nyo sa city.

Agreeing with sis chubbycheeks' suggestion. Heading off to Bantayan upon arrival is indeed the best thing you should do para hindi alanganin.
