hi sisses, any recommendations sa cebu city and mactan tour package? i'll be travelling with my 5 year old daughter and thinking of availing a tour package na lang since 2 lang kami and ayoko rin na ma-stress sa pag diy.

i'm thinking of staying overnight sa city, most probably sa quest, and yung remaining 2 nights sa mactan (movenpick or shang depends sa price - still waiting for shang's sale). also, any recommendations on where we can eat? yung mga must try food spots. thanks!

^ purple_girl, for the Cebu City tour, you can very well opt to book a city tour, so that it's more convenient for you since you will be traveling with a child. If you want, another option would be for you to DIY the itinerary and opt for a rent-a-car instead, so that you're able to go wherever you want by simply telling the driver. That way, you can go to all the places you want and have the power to direct your trip. The effort will come from the planning of where to go and taking note of details minus the tour guide factor. Also, Quest is a good choice since you can just walk across to get to the Ayala Mall.

For the remaining two nights in Mactan, Shangri-La would be a good choice since your kid will surely love the Adventure Zone, Children's Pool and Aquaplay, E-zone and the Toddlers Zone. I am trying to recall is Movenpick has an area for kids to play and I can't seem to recall at all. So, if you want another alternative aside from Shangri-La, you can also opt for Crimson - they also have an area for kids to play and do activities (though it is much smaller than that of in Shangri-La).

Matagal pa nga so it's still likely that you can get a promo pa for Shangri-la.

^yup. i'm really crossing my fingers na maka-avail ako and kaya ng budget yung 2 nights. if not, alternative ko is to spend 2 nights sa city, then 1 night sa shange, or pwede ring 1 night sa city, 2 nights in a different resort, or 1 night sa city, 1 night sa shange, and 1 night sa ibang resort.

^ Yeah. Sana nga. Anyway, for around about the same rate I mentioned, you can opt to stay in other resorts. Another alternative that I can think of would be for you to stay in a different resort that is more cost efficient and just do a day tour in Shangri-la and then day tour in another resort on a different day. But of course, mas okay talaga may room since you have a kid with you.

Just for reference these were the rates offered by Shangri-La during their 2012 Pre-Holiday Sale (good for stays until November 2013). I wasn't able to save their 2013 Pre-Holiday Sale (there was a slight increase in prices if I remember mga 8-10% yata)

after reading the cebu threads, ok kaya 'to?

day 1:
8:20am arrival in cebu
check in at bluewater maribago, enjoy the man-made beach and hotel lang
day 2:
check out bluewater
check in at quest hotel
day 3:
city day tour and take the last flight 8pm back to manila.


i've been to cebu twice so ok na sakin ang basic city day tour
