It only meant, they already lost hope. This is the most tragic thing that can happen.

While I was watching the news yesterday, I cant help but cry. Dead people everywhere, hunger is one of the main problem pa.

I read one article about the mother who survived pero ang anak nya namatay. Jusko, as I was reading, hindi ko alam kung anong sakit ang nararamdaman ng nanay na yun. I never want to know.

I started watching news 2 days ago lang ata kasi some friends were saying na grabe daw talaga at they're donating na in kind and in cash.

I donated some extra cash on Red Cross. And, my friends and I are planning din to donate used clothes, canned goods, etc kasi free shipping nito c/o LBD cito sa Dubai.

Lovin' my LIFE =)

“Super typhoon Haiyan was nothing we have ever experienced before, or perhaps nothing that any country has ever experienced before,” Saño told the UN body.

Hello?!!!!  Huwag namang ganyan -- there was Katrina, yung nangyari sa Haiti, sa Japan, sa Indonesia.  Sana hindi na lang niya binanggit ito.  When nature strikes, we cannot do anything talaga.  Nature hath no fury scorned.

I read the transcript of his speech, and in his defense, this statement was made in the context of describing storms and typhoons, in a summit to discuss climate change. Typhoon Haiyan is one of the strongest typhoons to ever make landfall (Category 5 vs Katrina's Category 3 when it hit land), so he is correct in saying that this typhoon is like nothing experienced before by any country. I don't think he meant to say what happened to us is more tragic than what happened to other countries, only that this typhoon is insanely strong. His speech, after all, was not made to solicit help for the Philippines; it's a call for urgent action vs climate change.

nakaka-touch ang outpouring of support and pledges from other countries.  even my client who is Canadian, nagdonate ng $100 sakin, idagdag ko daw sa ibibigay ko sa pamangkin ko.

Thanks for the link, sis thebratinella. At last mau-utilize na yung runway sa Guiuan. I hope maging safe sila sa trips.

It's another thing to steal items of 'luho', though.

Is it too much to hope na ireimburse or irecompensate ng gobyerno ang establishments na ninakawan nitong mga essentials?

I think I will have to agree on the idea na na-infiltrate na ang siyudad ng mga sindikato even early on.

http://philnews.ph/2013/11/11/

So not true sis, please do not believe that article... We, inc's are known in helping others, kahit wala ngang calamities we provide aid for humanity. As much as we want to ignore, masakit yung mga reactions about that article... sobrang napaka nonsense nito. Nakakalungkot, despite of the devastation that our country is experiencing now, may mga tao na nagsasamantala para makagawa pa ng gulo.

----

Moving on.... We are organizing since lastnight pa massive packing of relief goods, deadline namin bukas so we can transport them to leyte, asap.

Regarding the article, we can't blame the investors kung umalis na sila sa Tacloban. Marami ring nawala sa kanila e. We cannot blame din the people who looted kasi hindi naman sila lahat nakatanggap ng relief goods. Pero what's sad about the looting is that kinukuha nila kahit yung mga hindi naman talaga kailangan. Oh well. If I were in that situation siguro ganun na rin ginawa ko.

Anyway going to the brighter side, maraming bansa yung nagpadala na rin ng tulong. Marami ring big companies yung nagbigay ng donations like Jollibee who gave a huge amount of money + food to the victims. Sana hindi kurakutin yung money donated by other countries.

I guess we can't really understand how they feel right now because we are not in the same situation. Looting is bad but this is a matter of life and death. We can't really compare it to Japan kasi sa kanila andun agad ang government to help.

More than 4B from 33 countries and international organizations ang nalikom. :(

it seems the government is downplaying the real situation in tacloban and in other affected areas. pnoy even said that people don't have to steal dahil mabilis naman daw ang pagdating ng relief goods. ilang araw na since the typhoon pero when you ask the survivors, wala silang relief na natatanggap. and that's just in tacloban. imagine sa ibang areas na badly damaged din pero di masyadong nababanggit sa news.

i was just watching a video from bbc. nakuha pang magpapogi ni mar, nagta-traffic kuno eh obvious naman na kaya niya ginagawa yun kasi kinukunan siya ng video, international media pa.

nakakainis lang that they make it seem that everything is under control when it's not.

and i don't get the singaporeans hatred for the filipinos. dahil lang ba sa poor attitude at naaagawan sila ng jobs kaya natutuwa pa sila and likened what happened to us to God spraying baygon on cockroaches. grabe, napaka-walang puso ng nagsabi nun. meron pa nagsabi na waiting to hear from the news that "there are no survivors". racial discrimination pa ba yun o talagang wala lang silang kaluluwa. and to think that their major complaint is filipino's lack of proper manners. sila, they lack values.

For Yabu fans, here's a nice reason to dine (or take out food from) there later. Yabu will be donating 100% of their profits from all their branches today:
