I was reading your blog on your trip to Venice (love the Orient Express one!) and I have yet to read the entries on France I will back read as well in the France thread so that I can get more tips! I love planning this early so I that I feel that I have no stone unturned.

Day trips that I'm toying with:

Rome:
1. Pompeii or Ostia Antica
2. Assisi and Orvieto or Tivoli

Florence: (if I go to both I have only one day for going around Florence proper - ulp!) 
1. Pisa and Lucca
2. San Gimignano, Siena & Monteriggioni

Venice
1. Murano and Burano (if there's time)

Paris:
1. Versailles
2. Fontainebleau or Provins (if there's time)

mama squeak! I can still modify how many days I stay in Rome... was thinking I could leave Rome a day early so that I have more time for Florence but I'm just not sure how much time I really need in Rome to see everything, plus the two-day trips above. Any suggestions?

@mathet - .  The months of July and August are the peak of summer. If you're going to Rome, para ka lang nasa Pinas. Hot and humid weather. France though, it tends to change. Could be hot afternoons and very cool evenings. It also depends on what region you are going to.

Hi mga sis. i miss Europe na, got a text from Citibank, fly Emirates from US $800 roundtrip all in, book by March 15 for travel until Dec. 31, gusto namin bumalik pero nakabook na kami for SG dahil sa promo rin ng Singapore Airline. We booked at Emirates for Europe last 2014 so it's very tempting. Baka may interested this year, sayang promo

Pwedi mong iklian ng konti yung Rome and habaan ng konti yung Florence to include a day trip to Cinque Terre, if you love hiking you can even stay there overnight. If day tour lang pwedi mong isabay ang Pisa kasi along the way lang sya between Cinque Terre and Florence, just leave very early from Florence. Don't forget to bring your bathing suit if bet mo magtry to swim in Mediterranean sea in Manarola (one of the towns in Cinque Terre).

^No need to apply for any stopover as long as your are a transit passenger and will not be leaving the airport.

H2b and I are planning a 2 week honeymoon next year (probably around Sept).

Wanted to know if this feasible (before I make the actual IT) or should we drop some cities?

Two weeks including travel time? I would suggest concentrate on 3-4 cities that are near each other para di haggard ang travel nyo. In your list I would drop Prague since out of the way sya. You can do Italy and Paris instead or just concentrate on Italy para mas relax yung tour nyo. Ideally for big cities with lots of attractions try to allot 3 nights or 4 full days para hindi naman kayo bitin.

Thinking of dropping either Venice or Florence/Pisa... but based on photos parang mas prefer ko to go to Florence instead of Venice. What can you say?

Hello! I will be Europe bound next week!
I would like to ask for your suggestions on my itinerary:
Day 1: Manila to Paris via CX
Day 2: Morning in Paris (what to do?) then 1540 flight to Iceland
Day 3-7: Iceland
Day 8: Iceland to Amsterdam (1015am arrival in Amsterdam), planning on getting Sandman Amsterdam Day Tour
Day 9: Stroll in Amsterdam, Evening train to Brussels
Day 10: Brussels or Bruges tour?, Evening train to Paris
Day 11: Versailles Day Tour
Day 12: Paris Day Tour, 2115 Flight back to Manila

Super pagod po ba this itinerary? Should I skip Brussels and stay longer in Amsterdam and head straight to Paris (non negotiable na kasi yung Iceland)?
This is a solo trip btw.

Just came back from our Europe trip. Berlin-Amsterdam-Brugges for 10days
via KLM my hubby surprised me for BUsiness class he upgraded our seats and paid (250dinars) 30k pesos approx for both of us. Ang sarap magshop sa Duty free Schipol we bought perfumes 49Euros buy1take1. And naging hassle lang namin KLM dont accept combined luggage. We have one checkin bag which is 30kilos pero allotted samin 23 kilos they said we have to get another bag which is another 23 kilos pero yun 30kilos combined hindi pupuwede since naka wrap na ang bag and no extra bag kami we paid 75Euros. Nakakainis lang. But we enjoyed our trip, nag snowfall pa on the last day namin sa Berlin so super enjoy kami.

@toria, oh okay. Prague is really nice! Cleaner version of Paris.  Florence and Venice each have their own charms. So I assume Paris and Rome are your must-go too?

@kachich, I'm afraid there's nothing much to do upon your arrival in Paris. CDG is about an hour or 45 minutes to Paris one way. Assuming you clear immig by 8AM, by the time you figure out how to get out of the airport unto the train or taxi to Paris you'll be arriving around 10AM. That will leave you barely two hours to go around before you start your way back to the airport. Better stay at the airport or visit the town of Roissy where CDG is located.

As to your days 8-12, there is no way you will be able to enjoy this part of your trip. As they say Hagardo Versoza ang beauty mo dito. If I were in your situation I would do this instead (assuming the places I mentioned are your must-sees ha):

Day 8 - Arrival Amsterdam. Join a free walking tour. Sandeman's now charges a booking fee and tips are encouraged for the tour guides.

Day 9  -  More of Amsterdam. Night train to Paris (3 hours travel time)

Day 10 - start off early to see the sights of Paris. Though attractions usually open at 9AM-10AM.

Day 11 - Versailles (half day) / Paris

Day 12 - Paris. Depart for Manila.

This IT is still too hectic for my liking but if you have to then this is doable.

Yes upon checkin from Bahrain to Berlin.
For Berlin, we joined the walking tour for famous sites. Berlin walks (Concentration camp). We booked na din online BErlin Welcome card included na ang train tickets for 3days, Berlin Dungeon at MAdame taussauds at Seal life Berlin. May mga discount coupons din.

For Paris:
I dont know why people likes to go to Paris, for me ha theres nothing really special in Paris aside from the Eiffel Tower. Must see pa ang Prague, Venice at Florence and also Brugges.

And yes... Just like you, Paris is not one of my favorites. I mean there's a LOT to see and do there and the museums are just amazing. But I don't know why Paris was never close to my heart hehe I can never tire of Italy esp of Tuscan region and Venice.
