Most suppliers do their increase Jan or Feb (after Jan bridal fairs). At least this is what we experienced. So best to book your biggest expenses earlier.

yes, some suppliers increase as early as jan-feb. my coordinator (sheena of sma weddings and beyond) increased by april 1. that's the latest month for supplier increase na siguro...?

Which suppliers are good to book in bridal fairs?  I heard the musicians and strings dont give a big discount? But some suppliers do, like invitations, video, photo etc.

What else is good to book in a fair?

how about bridal cars sis? they give discounts or free hour extension. some bridal fairs have the actual bridal cars on display. this is where we realized that we didn't like vintage cars pala because some really looked old and smelly in person

Sis Chilli, yung mga nice-to-have stuff masaya ibook sa bridal fair. They give nice promos and there's less risk kasi nice to have lang ☺

sissies if you've booked a supplier na (regular rates) and you see them at a bridal fair, will they give you freebies? has anyone experienced this?

^sis barbeecue, it depends on the supplier talaga. I had an experience wherein I booked the designer of my entou gowns outside a bridal fair. When I went to the bridal fair and saw him there several months later, he had a promo that when you book him there, he will give 10% off of your total cost. I asked na if I book him there ba, even if I already booked before pasok pa rin ba ako sa 10% off? And he said yes. So para lang akong nag downpayment sa bridal fair naka 10% off pa ako hehe. Mind you marami kami kinuha from him so anlaking benefit talaga nun for us.

May time naman na, I booked TGG outside a bridal fair. Then few months after I went to a bridal fair and saw my AE there sa booth ng TGG. They were offering their decorations for free if ni-book mo sila dun. I asked kung hindi ba pasok yung booking ko. Hindi raw. Sad. sana ininform nya ko na sasali pala sila sa bridal fair hehe.

Sis juwie.. ako naman a month before we booked TGG meron silang 10,000 off promo. Binalewala ko.. akala ko hindi doon ang venue ko. Ayun pinalampas ko din! .

ako naman nun nag-ocular kame sa reception venue, gusto na namen dun ni fiance, buti di muna namen binook at nagdown, nakita namen may tarp sila ng bridal fair so we asked kung kasali sila..buti mabait ae namen sabi dun na lang daw kame magbook baka may freebies kame makuha or discount..true enough, naka-discount kame sa kanila, kaso yun downpayment nila same pa din sa regular booking nila, pero ok lang, atleast we've booked them na at yun rate na nakuha namen is same nun nag-open sila nun 2014..our wedding will be on 2016 pa, yey!

^ this also happened to us with our reception venue, nag ocular lang muna kami, then 1 week later binook namin sila sa bridal fair with an instant 12k discount na. our photographer naman offered his bridal fair discount kahit hindi kami sa bridal fair nag-meet.

sis siguro it makes a difference din if yung owner mismo kausap mo vs if AE lang noh? yung owner ng couturier ba kausap mo nun kaya pumayag siya to give you bridal fair rates?

i saw kasi that my caterer will be in one of the bridal fairs. eh i booked them na last month with regular rates. i'm super tempted to email my AE and ask if mag-aapply ba sakin bridal fair rates or freebies if puntahan ko sila sa bridal fair pero baka makulitan na sakin AE ko eh. kinukulit ko kasi siya lagi and email her about requests and baka mainis na siya sakin if i ask pa about bridal fair rates or freebies. i don't wanna push her over the edge hehe. i'll approach them nalang siguro sa bridal fair and ask them about it in person vs asking through email, which seems more impersonal. my god, am i going bridezilla mode na?

Sis yung designer wala dun sa bridal fair. Pero the person manning the booth called him up to confirm. And when they gave me a receipt I had it specified na may 10% off ako para maliwanag. Hehe nakuha ko naman he lived up to his promise ☺ PC ang caterer mo di ba? I think OK lang, kasi they're super nice and mabait sila kausap/kaemail. Nagrereply agad. Plus you're a paying client na. Lagyan mo na lang ng pacing yung pangungulit mo sis para di masyadong halata hehe

you remembered again! yeah sis PC akin and they really are super nice. they reply within the day and i feel alaga talaga. hahaha sabi rin sakin ni h2b - let my last request sink daw muna and refrain from emailing them until after we talk to them at the bridal fair hahaha. sana luck will be on my side that day din sis, like you with your entourage designer. i would love free desserts or 10k off hehe. nakakataga yung corkage fee and bond fee ng glass garden for non-accredited caterers. actually sa bridal fair na yun (the one in megamall next month), invites talaga sadya namin ni h2b. nagkataon lang na andun din PC so pupuntahan na rin namin sila hehe. we'll book our supplier for invitations there. sino gagawa ng invites mo sis?
