mahirap talaga magkasakit!

sa totoo lang, hindi ako takot mamatay pero takot ako magkasakit! kasi financially draining at buong pamilya mo kasabay mo magdudusa sa process.

na confuse ako mga sis,

pag Term diba yung insured ka for 1year then "tapon pera" kung walang nangyari sayo. tumataas yearly habang tumatanda.

pag Level Term naman, yearly coverage rin pero fixed ang amount per year depende sa pipiliin mo kung 5,10,20years.

ano naman yung for life?

Any reviews sa Paramount Life Insurance. Dito kasi samin most of OFW's meron nito at okay yun premium nya. Stable ba ito at totoo ba 65 years na sila...wala ako makita reviews online saka never heard kasi sakin (POV po ha).

Pareview naman po kasi super interested ako sa life insurance at hospitalization income benefit plan.

^I did both. Kumuha ako ng term with CI riders and then nag open rin ako ng additional UITF for our health fund. Nilakihan ko na yung starting investment. We both have jobs, with good benefits. So with our office health plans, plus our term, plus the UITF, plus our existing investments and emergency fund, I'm hoping hindi naman kami gano mahihirapan sakaling may mangyari.

I do have a VUL + Dread Disease benefit sa Generali (37,350K yearly, sum assured na 1.5M and 900K naman sa disease).

Since I'm working overseas, ok pa ba na kumuha ako ng term insurance dito sa place ko?
(our company have accident insurance ,hospitalization & surgical benefits. Yung term life insurance, am not sure).

Insurance needs are usually assessed based on who depends on you because they are mostly for beneficiaries. Breadwinner ka ba? Magkano ang mga dapat bayaran pag nawala/nagkasakit/nadisable ka?

Once you have this, you can decide if you need additional insurance. Meron din mga online calculator to get this. If you know a good agent, he/she can help you on this.

For context, the purpose of the VUL I mentioned is for inheritance and estate planning. I still would not recommend a VUL for someone who plainly and simply wants to grow their money.

Ikaela your agent should have offered you a single pay VUL if you're after estate planning. The charges are very small compared to the regular pay VUL that you got. Actually there are no upfront premium charges. It's a good alternative for mf. Not all vul's are the same. Single pay vul's can match the earning potential of an mf with very minimal charges too compared to regular and limited pay vul's.

^Yes, I have those. I just mentioned what you quoted because I openly advocate term life insurance here on GT. Don't want people thinking that I'm a hypocrite because I also own VUL policies. My term life insurance and VUL serve different purposes for me.

^Hi sis, try mo BDO Insurance Brokers.  you can check through BDO bank branches.  If I remember correctly, meron ang Manulife na group MRI sold through them.  Since it's a group account, more affordable sya than indiv MRI

Why would you say it's cheaper if you get coverage from group insurance though?
Maybe if you're health isn't as good then you're getting a discount because the healthy
people is basically subsidizing your premium.

So, if you're healthy you'd be paying more but if you're not as healthy
you'd be paying less. Someone has to pay the "discount" right? :p

Case in point,

I have a yearly renewable term insurance from Manulife for 1M, I paid 3.1k
last year

I also have a group term insurance from Manulife via Chinabank Insurance Broker
because of my home loan. I'm paying 4.04k for 1M of coverage.
