No social life din ako for several months now. Just like you sis @Len053 I only go out with my husband and son. Madalas sa mall lang, grocery and then konting pasyal, minsa nood ng movie. Sobrang okay na ko dun  :D

Kami mag asawa ok ang social life iisa na lang circle of friends namin. Halos lahat ng festival pinupuntahan namin. Aside pa sa get together with friends once a month. Nagcacamping kami or swimming with friends. Kaya hindi ako deprived sa paglabas labas kahit may asawa at anak na ako.

My social life is mostly made up of gatherings with family (hubby's mostly), and paminsan, with some friends from my previous workplace. I have a few friends I met online whom I really feel comfortable with though, sometimes talaga you just 'click' with people, sometimes you don't.

More often than not, ang kasama ko ay anak ko lang din and husband ko.  I am reluctant to make friends with new people, choosy kasi talaga ako sa kaibigan. Kahit sa school ng daughter ko, I talk to other moms pero don't establish close friendships talaga - pag nakakaramdam kasi ako ng something off with a person, I back off. Hindi naman completely, just keeping the interactions sa tamang acquaintance-friendly level.

While doing this gives me almost zero social life, stable naman ang emotions ko - no drama, no stress. Hehe.

Siguro for an introvert like me  without having social life is no big deal at all.

Zero social life for almost 6 months na by choice. Aside sa mas gusto ko muna yung work-bahay routine ko dahil tipid, I am also stress-free /toxic-friend-free and don't feel obligated to meet up with the people I used to hang out with. Dati kahit pagod na sa work, makikipagmeet with different groups of friends for dinner, kape  or sometimes magbabar pa kami on a weekday then puyat kinabukasan.  I just reached a point din recently where I realized na mas importante talaga yung quality over quantity when it comes to friendship.

Hehe. Yung tipong need ko magtravel ng ilang hours just to have a geto with my old friends and need to squeeze my tight sked para makabalik agad to pick up the kids.. :D

Lately nabubuhay na naman social life ko, i always invite friends to hang out. Si bf lagi ko kasama pag weekends kaso pati weekend pumapasok siya sa office so i just ask my friends instead mag mukmok sa house.

For me it's important to have girl friends. After meeting my friends na re-refresh ako then ready to deal with bf na ulit. iba rin kasi kausap mga babae kesa puro yung partner mo na lang kausap mo. That's just me. And i guess most of the girls i hang out with lately are all positive, successful, vibrant, inspiring and full of  life kind of women.

I realized that having a social life is important even when married.  When your husband leaves you or forsakes you at some point, you won't have anyone to hang out with.

For me work-life balance is imperative. Maski ano pang definition mo ng "social life" ke 1 tao lang kasama mo to have coffee, or an entire football team up to you. Kaming mag-asawa bffs talaga kami, pareho kami ng trip sa buhay which is to travel, eat and drink haha, kaya weekly goal namin mag unwind on weekends. Either mag mall, kumain ng masarap, uminom or meet some friends. We plan to continue doing so maski may baby na kami. :D

I virtually had no social life for many years with pretty much only one friend. With new friends, I get to go out do stuff with new girl friends. It's important to break routine once in a while.

I have different group of friends
1. Homeschooling moms
2. College friends
3. Couple friends from previous prayer community
4. Lector friends

Yung 1,2, and 3, marami na ang thrice a year kung magkita. The regular friends that I meet are from religious org. Sandaling chika lang after the duties and meetings, uwi agad. Busy rin sa kanya kanyang buhay.

I'm an introvert, but I consider myself as an extroverted introvert. Yung mga group of friends ko na yan, I meet in small group lang. Am not comfortable in big groups, tapos di ko pa kaclose yung iba.

sa mga no social life tapos nagkasocial life, where do you meet people? Yan kasi problem ko ngayon, I want to meet new people to revive my social life. Health is something I promised myself that I will never compromise) if mag get together. Anong suggestions can you guys give?

^Sis, since health conscious ka,  why not sa gym or mga fun runs? Ako lately may na-meet na few friends here from GT, galing kami sa weight loss thread haha, lumipat ng Viber and then ng FB. At first puro connected sa weight loss topics namin  ngayon anything under the sun na, they all plan to meet in person after the holidays next year, ako kasi based abroad. So next time ako sasama.  ;D

Tho I value the essence of real friendship and I have a handful lang din na I can consider na bffs/close friends (probably less than 10 from my entire lifetime na yan) I recently felt na important din to widen your circle, meet new people,  ever since I relocated abroad, sobrang nagpaka island ako di masyado sumasali/sumasama sa groups, ke religious, sports, pakilala pakilala, gusto ko 2-4 lang kakilala ko ok na yun quality over quantity, sakto pa sa work I'm the only Pinay hanggang sa naging 2 na kami, feeling ko less dramas/issues at tipid haha walang magaaya lumabas, later on nahirapan na din ako, grabe na homesick and boredom ko, to the point na depressed ako and wala man lang ako makausap or makasama dito na worth it effortan lumabas, wala nako ginawa kunde magabang ng bakasyon, tapos parang super routine na ng buhay na work-bahay-grocery, walang makasama lumabas wala na din nagaaya since nagsawa na sila haha, walang activities na magawa eh hello late 20s palang ako when I went here so I've learned my lessons na, lalo na nung andito na Husband ko, hinde pa din ako pala sama sa maski na sinong mag-aya pero di na kagaya noon na wala talaga ako inaattendan na maski na ano. To the point na nagla-lie pako na may lakad ako or may sakit ako wag lang ako ayain, haha! Nung napansin ko na people around me seems to be very happy sa mga new found friends and activities while ako naguubos ng series and movies, kumakain ng junk foods in bed, taka pa ba ako na unhappy ako? Naisip ko din lahat naman nagstart sa small talks, mga mababaw na topics, almost trivial hehe and then lumalalim since you get to them more, may mga magugustuhan ka na swak kayo, meron din hinde, and naisip ko di ko naman kailangan ibff agad, I started meeting new people now, I smiled and went out more and I can say life is much better and tolerable being an OFW.

^Ako, mostly organizations talaga. Kasi I need regular meetings with them so I can get to know them better and eventually establish friendships with them.

In graduate school, there are many potential friends, people who I consider as my tribe.

Di kasi ako yung type ng tao na nagka-chikahan tayo sa pila, we hit it off, we exchange contacts, and voila friends na tayo. I'm the type of person who needs to warm up bago ko mapakita yung totoo kong kulo.

But this is just me, I don't know with others.

thanks sa suggestions! gym and fun run out of the question, pero it made me realized ang daming health related activities dyan like yoga (na mas gusto ko).  nakakaencourage yun story mo, it made me realize not to give up

Same tayo sis. it takes time for me to warm up. Laging first impression sa akin is bitchy kasi itsura kong mukhang nakikipag-away daw haha

So I practice naman "lighten up" face... Okay naman so far...

Also pala, meron ding mga good potential introvert friends, pero hindi sila nag-iinitiate ng conversation with strangers. I made a couple of good friends who are for keeps. Pero ako nag-initiate ng unang convo, but without any expectations na magiging friends ko pala sila.
