Just got back from BKK, medyo grogy pa sa tulog.
Generally peacuful naman ang BKK, siguro nga kasi nuong pumunta kami patapos na ang protests.
Arrived at 1130PM sa Airport then nakalabas kami mga past 12MN na, mga 130AM nasa hotel na kami, Pratunam area The 93Hotel, super linis at worth it yung price (kasi nuong nag book kami mababa ang rates dahil sa protests) may buffet breakfast na din.

Okay yung venue, kasi pagbaba mo mga market na agad, mga stalls ng damit then walk walk ka na lang going to Pratunam Market.
Sa food naman, madaming street food, authentic Thai, then may 2 7-11 stores if di mo trip ang mga local food.

Mejo jam-packed ang itinerary namin:

Day 0 - Arrived at BKK

Day 1 - Sunday - Ayutthaya Trip
Temples - (ruins) mostly TB50 ang entrance
Ayutthaya Floating Market and Elephat Village (may tiger encounter din)

From BKK to Ayutthaya -
Van - terminal nasa Victory monument, beside sa Victory Mall.
Fare - TB60
Travel Hour - 1 - 1/2  Hour from BKK

After Ayutthaya we went straight to Chatuchak Market
Victory Mall BTS to Mo Chit Station
Mga past 4PM na kami nakadating so konting oras na lang, di rin ako nakabili ng anything, ang aga nila magsara mga 6PM nag aayos na sila, then wala naman sila ng weekdays so ayun, next weekend na ulit ang balitk nila.

Day 2 - Bangkok City Tour
Grand Palace
Entrance Fee - TB500

then headed straight to Platinum Mall
mga 3 hours lang kami dito
Then Pratunam Market (as usual maaga sila magsara mga 5PM nag aayos na sila)
we ended up going back to Victory Mall, yung mga tiangge sa labas, duon madami akong nabili.
Then nagpunta din kami sa Pat Pong Night Market - skip nio na itong night market na ito kasi super pricey ang items, kasi pag foreigner ang price.
Ito din ang red district nila kaya siguro ganun

Day 3 - going back to Manila na for a 930AM flight

sobrang bitin if gusto mo talaga mag shopping lang.

Merong street stalls sa Pratunam, open until midnight, or minsan lampas pa. Nakapalibot lang yun sa market, kahit sa me labas ng Baiyoke meron tiangge dun pag gabi. Platinum Mall naman is open until 8pm yata. MBK din, open until 8pm or 9pm pa nga yata pag weekends..

actually shifting sila.. Sa umaga till noon yata mga girly stuff as in yung regular na mga clothes.  Sa hapon ayun packed up na sila dahil lalabas naman yung mga souvenir stuffs may mga damit din hangga gabi na yun, so it depends sa preference mo, but yung may mga stalls talagang nagsasara sila ng maaga.

Tomorrow na flight namin to bangkok. Ask ko lang
1. may bawal pa rin bang color ng damit na isuot?
2. Oks lang ba nakaslippers lang sa lahat ng pupuntuhan? Para di na dala shoes. May reservation kasi kami sa baiyoke sky, for dinner.

Ok ba mag TigerAirway kahit magstop over muna sa Singapore?
Same ticket price din kasi kahit straight Manila-BKK eh.

^ if same price, then just take the direct Manila-BKK flight. Problem with connecting flights is pag na-delay ang unang flight mo, you might miss your connection. Plus, sayang sa oras. Best pa din direct flight.

^Naka-Tigerair kami but straight to BKK from Clark.  Gano katagal ang stopover mo sis?  Check mo maigi kasi I think yung sa Jetstar matagal ang stop over nila.

Anyone who've been to Pattaya?  Red district to pero we plan to visit the Nong Nooch Garden.  Ang ganda naman kasi =)

^ di naman red-light district ang buong Pattaya. Siguro me certain area lang dun. We went there before, daytrip lang from BKK, lunch and swimming kami sa Coral Island, short boat ride from the main beach. Sila husband naman stayed there for a night or two. Ok naman, masaya din daw kumain sa gabi. Although it's not as "alive" as Patong Beach in Phuket.

may hotel ba near the airport na mura lang but malinis? midnight kasi dating namin then pratunam na kami in the morning. TIA.

Just got back from bangkok (March 27-30),na witness ko first hand yung rally nila sa may siam paragon. nag start kasi sila uli, my friend who is working there said na umalis na kami kagad at lumipat nalang kami sa ibang lugar. Medyo scary lang kasi ang dami talagang tao nasa streets.

Hello sisses, I need your advise on accommodation, which is better renting from airbnb or hotel and anong area okay mag-stay? How's the situation in Bangkok nowadays pala? It seems that there are protests again? Me and 2 of my friends are going there on June. We'll be staying for 6 full days, and we're planning to go to Ayuttahaya, kaya ba ang DIY tour dun?

^hi sis! Hotels in bangkok are definitely cheaper compared to other countries like hk and sg. I recommend staying in siam or pratunam area.

^^We stayed in Pratunam area -- Centara Watergate.  Relatively cheap considering its a 4 star hotel at bago pa lang.  Walking distance ang Platinum Mall at Central World.  Check first the rally sites before you book your hotel.  When we were there (latter part of Mar), wala na yung mga nagra-rally so lakad galore lang.

@sis abbey, nagstart kasi sila uli nung mach 29 mag rally. may pics at vid pa ako nung rally. pero umalis kagad kami kasi medyo natakot lang kami. siguro check niyo nalang news, kasi may nabasa ako na magkakaron pa uli sila ng bigger rally uli.

Sisses can you recommend a cheap airline going to Bangkok then back to manila?

^Budget airlines -- Cebupac, AirAsia and Tigerair

^^ sometimes, if you book like less than a month before your trip e mas mura pa or comparable ang rates ng PAL or Thai Airways kesa sa CebuPac (unless of course me ongoing promo ang CebuPac). Especially considering na me check-in baggage na kasama yung PAL and TA, plus me food pa, plus ok din ang flight sched. Just compare their rates pag me target travel dates ka na.

^ thanks sis! I need sana yung check in baggage. last week I checked PAL is 150usd only, as to TigerAir na 8500+? bakit parang mas mahal sa TigerAir? and looks like hand carry baggage lang kasama. Tentative pa kasi yung alis naming ng end of the month kaya hindi pa ako makapag book talaga.
