^tell your friend to call their reservations for a name change. Meron certain conditions na pwede with a corresponding fee. But please tell her not to encourage using fake IDs. It's not the right thing to do.

Mga sis pag ba promo namin nakuha yung ticket namin, no refund talaga pag cancelled trip? Natapat kasi sa wedding ng friend ko yung ticket namin. It is stated in their policy na they do not allow refund nor change flight ang promofares and korea tickets. Sayang kasi almost 10k na yun.

But when I check DTC policies, nakalagay dun na all customers have the right to get a refund 1 month before the departure. Nov pa yung ticket.

^ Though as a general rule, there is a privilege in place that says customers have the right to get a refund 1 month before departure, there are times that a customer waives that whenever they agree to purchase something on a promotion. Naka state kasi sa conditions ng airline na Non-refundable ba or No Name Change allowed, etc. So whenever a person purchases something via a promotion, there's a chance that certain restrictions apply. Parang No Exchange policy lang yan, wherein pag SALE item, no more exchange or return policy kasi nga being sold for a fraction of the cost na.

^it's true that you can't refund promo fares but you can refund the government taxes you paid in the ticket. Give them a call to ask to refund your taxes. CAB (Civil Aeronautics Board) came out with a ruling that you can refund the taxes since it is not part of the airline's fare.

^ This is definitely a good to know, mama squeak!. So, I surmise that you can give them a call to ask for a refund for the government taxes only after the date of the flight has lapsed and the ticket has never been used? Or can you already do this ahead of time and since they have already processed the refund, then it just invalidates the ticket? Would you know how to go about the timing?

^when I requested for a refund for my brother's promo ticket, I did it before the flight (a week, I think). When I asked if I can still get tax refunds for other tickets in the past which was still covered by the ruling, the CSR told me good as flown na daw the tickets so I can't get a refund na. In essence you have to ask for the refund before the flight date otherwise no refunds.

Hello mga sis! I already talked to Cebu pac's call center. According to their agent, I can still get a refund. Tama si mama squeak, I can still get the taxes and these are service charge and fuel charge. Less cancellation fees. May natira pa naman sakin konte.

We can get a refund daw pag nag no show na kami. For now hindi pa pwede since november pa yung flight. Tapos tinanong ko din kung may deadline ba yung pag kuha ng refund. Within 13 months daw from the date of purchase. So for example Nov 2013 ko binili yung ticket namin, I need to process it before end of Dec 2014.

^that's good to know! But mukha naman conflict yung sinabi sa akin ng CSR na before the flight ang request ng refund as against sa sinabi sa yo. Teka check ko when I purchased my other tickets kung pasok sa deadline nila. By the way after 3 weeks ko nakuha yung refund request ko (mabilis na sila ngayon).

Oo nga @mama squeak! eh. Baka mamaya tactics nila yun para no refund. Yung narefund mo after 3 wks, no show b ayun? Or before your travel dates?

I have no show last May dahil nag-extend kami so instead of cancellation I booked another flight goin' to Manila. So, it means na pwede ako mag-ask ng refund ?

andreil_19 yes sis. As long as pasok sya sa 13 month from date of purchase. Check mo yung acct mo sa cebu pac kung kelan mo sya nabili. Pero better to call their call center. Kasi may mga computations sila.
