"'luxury" para sa iba, pero necessity para sayo

Overseas travels - pinakaluho ko pero mostly budget trips naman. Sanay na ko magtipid ang impt lang makalabas ng pinas at least once a year. Mostly naman japan ang punta kasi love ko talaga siya. Nakapag-book na nga ako for this year pati korea. I think i deserve it naman since i work hard and i dont ask for money naman sa parents ko.

Branded shoes - i learned the hard way. Dati kasi lagi akong nagtitipid sa shoes and clothes pero madalas sumasakit paa ko sa mga binibili kong sapatos. Iba pa din comfort na dulot ng branded shoes.

Eating out - mostly with family and friends. Ndi naman sa mga uber fancy or expensive restos and madalas.

I can wear hand-me-downs,  not own jewelry or gadgets, i can even live without a cellphone (!) but I need to have good food, pamper my body and move about from time to time.

Nakakaaliw naman ang thread na ito. 

Hindi ako mahilig sa any "luxurious" things, pero siguro share ko lang yung mga bagay na hindi naman necessity pero pinipilit kong paglaanan ng budget.

Travel. Be it local or Asian (never tried other continents before other than work). Mahilig man akong magtravel, super tipid naman. Seat sales, mediocre hotels, small souvenirs, ok na yan sa akin basta I see new people, places and culture. Pag kasama ko naman ang parents ko, medyo inuupgrade ko ang hotel para sa convenience ng senior citizens.

Come to think of it, yeah, it's just travel. I love to travel with my family. Seeing them happy makes me happy, too.

I live abroad and going home to the Philippines every year is a necessity for me. Kahit 10 days lang (that time I was on the other side of the world pa).  I've done this since I left in 2006.  Now that I am married, usapan namin ni hubby, it will continue for as long as we can. If for some reason I couldn't go home, someone in my family should visit us here.

Skype credits - I know Skype is free but my mom sometimes is hard to reach kahit may ipad naman. Or sometimes im not home and I want to call her, if I use my 3G data to call Skype to Skype ang pangit ng line (and this is what I hate most - pangit na line) but if I use Skype credit and call her on her mobile maganda line. so for me okay lang magbayad to talk to my family. But of course kung okay ang free, I'd go for the free one, why pay if I could have it for free.

Dishwasher - I remember before when we lived pa in another country and was just renting, important factor na may dishwasher ang bahay kahit 2 lang kami.  Some of my friends okay lang walang dishwasher dahil kung 2 lang naman madali maghugas ng pinggan and sayang ang water. No no sa amin mag-asawa. Tamad lang maghugas ng pinggan.

Travel
I work hard so I make sure that when I travel, 4 star or 5 star hotel so my partner and I can relax. I really need a good bed to sleep better lalo na when I'm out of the country. I would like to go back to Europe pero Eastern naman this time:)

Branded Bags and Now shoes
I want to add shoes to the mix. Cute lang kasi kahit man lang tory burch, not necessarily jimmy choo or louboutin.

Gadgets
Eversince i got hacked, i want nothing more than mac. Feeling ko safe and walang virus

1. Oral Glutathione and other food supplements (Vit C, Vit E, Multivitamins). Nag-sa-save talaga ako for these, eversince na nag improve yung health ko nung lagi na akong umiinom nito. At saka hindi na ako mukhang losyang at feeing pagod sa trabaho. For glutas, love it kasi yun lang ang nakakapagbigay sakin ng masarap na tulog tuwing gabi, at blooming ako every morning.
2. Skin care products. 
3. Out-of-town trips atleast once a month.
4. Expensive sunglasses.
5. Starbucks. 
6. Cat food. Hinding hindi mawawala sa monthly/weekly expenses ko.

Two things for me.

Car - so hard sumabay sa shuttle service provided by the company.Aga ng pick up time. If I bring my own car, extended wake up time ko by an hour. That's a lot for me Bayaran ko na lang ang tulog ko. lol

Aircon - 24/7 ac sa room  ko. Mainit, malamig, umaga, gabi, o kahit nabagyo pa.

Samsung Note 3 na naka plan - I need the net. Nag side hustle ako. Sulit ang subscription ko kasi it serves as my net source din. Naka LTE naman eh. I just need to invest in an original extra pack of battery
Laundry Service - some do their laundry. I have mine washed so I can do other things pa like taking care of my online gigs and blogs.

car - for emergencies. i rarely use our car kase pwede naman ako magcommute but maganda na yung meron kami para just in case

phone plan - mahirap na ang prepaid baka ubos na ng load. for emergencies

branded bag - hindi naman super mahal pero i'd rather buy a branded bag kesa yung fake kase in terms of durability at quality panalo na ako pag authentic

aircon - it is a neccesity na kase ang init init ng panahon ngayon. para sa mga kids.

branded applicances - katwiran ko kasi, gagastos na lang din ako ng libo at mahigit eh di dun na lang sa magandang klase kahit magdagdag ng konti sa price, kasi matagal naman magagamit..

Mag-car or cab everywhere- hassle mag-jeep or bus, nakakahilo and mausok (jeep). Saka paranoid ako sa mga mandurukot, snatcher, holdupper at manyak. My favorite public transpo is the MRT. Sana magkaron ng station na walking distance from our house hehe.

^ Taxi - tamad ako mag drive super lalo na sa ayala ako nagwowork at QC pa ko uuwi. (everyday taxi balikan is 400) not bad narin kasi ang parking sa ayala nasa 200 pang gas mo pa at stress sa traffic. at di ako marunong mag commute

Wow! I'm sorry but I just had to comment.

You must be earning a lot if you can afford to spend
400 a day just for transportation expenses.
That's over 8,400 on average per month.

This thread reminds me of a blog I used to follow,
he preaches spending based on your values.

Basically, if clothes are important to you then
by all means, spend on quality clothes then cut
corners on other areas instead to make up the difference.

I used to live a "bare bones" life before.
My entertainment then consisted of 10-20 peso books
from book sale and that was it.

Right now though there are a lot of necessities
I enjoy that my past self would have deemed luxuries.

I'm earning some decent amount sis. Tsaka i'm still living with my parents kaya siguro ganun pa lifestyle ko.

And by the way, i don't take the cab everyday. I have the option to work from home kasi. :p so i go to the office 3 times a week lang. and if you recompute, its around 4800 lang.
