Credit Card as payment for Booking

Mga sis, ill be using kasi my credit card for my mom's plane ticket sa PAL.
Although di ako kasama sa byahe sya lang..
Ipoprovide ko na lang  sana yung clear copy ng credit card ko at copy ng ID ko..
But i heard na di na daw pwede yung ganitong system?
Dapat daw present  yung may-ari ng card?
Is this true?

^not true, lagi akong nagpapabook online ng plane ticket ko & nakiki-ride sa officemate ng CC. photocopy lang ng CC & ID nya kasama nong ticket, wala naman akong naging prob

Nope not true. Just give ur mom a photocopy of your credit card and your ID front and back dapat. To be sure na rin write an authorization letter attached yung photocopies

Yup acceptable ang photocopy of your card and ID. Just make sure na clear yung copy nang card and your cc number should appear on your booking receipt.

^^ booking receipt? meaning official receipt ba sis?
kasi i thought yung e-ticket, copy of ID and CC lang papakita nya?

^yes sis yan lang requirements upon check-in. baka sa PAL tinutukoy nya, aside kasi don sa e-ticket nagpapadala pa sila ng booking receipt sa email

^^ naku di ko napadala sa mom ko yung booking receipt na nareceived ko sa email.
E-ticket, ID at CC copies lang naipadala ko :-(
kelangan pa ba talaga ipakita yung receipt?

^ I usually book for tickets ng family, sometimes for friends din. And so far, copy of my ID and CC lang naman hinahanap. never pa sila hinanapan ng receipt, both for local and international airlines.

Hello po. We got the confirmation papers for our trip to LA sa China Eastern Airlines office. Ngayon ko lang binasa ng maigi and nakalagay na kelangan namin ipakita yung valid id card ng taong nagpurchase ng ticket namin. The problem is American brother in law ko ang nag purchase nun dahil mas mura kung dun siya bibilhin. What should we do?

^Your brother in law should call the airline on what documents you can bring. Here in the Philippines, you need a photocopy of the credit card plus letter from the card holder stating he/she purchased the ticket for you.

Nasusunod ba talaga to? In my case,  I have purchased tickets for my siblings for local and international trips,  5J and PR,  di naman nag ask daw, di ako kasama sa trip.

This. Happened to me last yr when i used my sister's cc to purchase my ticket to the US. They need photocopy of the card, ID ng card owner, and a letter stating that she purchased the ticket for me.

Hi sis. If the ticket was purchased by someone else and sa US ang destination normally what they ask is yung creditcard ang dapat i-present.  You can ask the airline if naka 'ccshow' yung ticket nyo. If yes, your BIL can go to any ticketing office/counter of your airline nearest to him to show his card and ID. They will eventually remove the 'ccshow' on your reservation/ticket. 

Now, if hindi naman naka 'ccshow' yung ticket most likely they will ask you for a number of requirements to present.

^Sis, I will be in this situation soon kung ma approve ang US visa ko. Yung friend ko ang bibili ng tiket ko. Online nya bibilhin. Thank you for this, so helpful! I should tell him to just buy it sa ticketing office so he will know and be advised right away on what to do. Automatic na ba to sa mga staff na they tell the would-be customer this if they are purchasing it for a friend or relative? If my friend buys it online and then he calls or email the airline pwede din ba? Busy-busyhan kasi mga tao dun.

I can't say for sure if non US airline ha. Pero based on my experience working sa 2 airline company (reservations) na US airline hindi automatic na 'ccshow' ang ticket pag creditcard ng iba tao ang ginamit to purchase. Pag minalas na 'ccshow' need ni cardholder na i-present ang cc nya sa airline.  Pwede naman gawin yun anytime prior to the departure date at pwede din nya gawin kahit saan airport or ticket office ng airline na yun kung saan may malapit sa kanya. Hindi sya pwede alisin na ccshow just by sending an email or calling the airline. Hope that helps.
