Sis,

As per a former employee of bpi card, "Pre-approved credit card" term is not allowed by BSP.  They use PRE-QUALIFIED for their credit card.

I received a call from bpi call center last month that I was pre-qualified for their cc.  To validate my identity, they asked some questions.  Then 2days after I received a [textspeak!] msg from bpi that I was approved.  I received the credit card after a week.

I have an investment account and 5 CA/SA accounts with them.

Baka they require to avail more than one service from them.

Hope this helps. :)

"Credit Shield Plus pays for 3x your Citi Card’s total outstanding balance for the relevant month up to P1,800,000 or 360% of your Combined/Regular credit limit, as applicable, whichever is lower at the time of death (due to accident, illness, or natural cause), permanent disablement, or first diagnosis of covered critical illness. The benefit settles your outstanding Citi Card balances and any remainder will be received by you or your beneficiary.
If you become temporarily disabled for more than 15 days, it will pay for your monthly minimum due starting on the 16th to 30th day of your temporary disablement and 2x your monthly minimum due starting on the 31st day of your temporary disablement up to a maximum of 12 months."

"CreditShield Plus is the first and only credit card insurance in the market that covers the seven common critical illnesses, in case of first diagnosis of:
Blindness
Cancer
Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery
Heart Attack (Myocardial Infarction)
Kidney Failure
Major Organ Transplant Surgery
Stroke"

I didn't get their credit shield. They kept calling me for few months but with my constant refusal to get that, they got tired eventually.

mga sis, totoo ba talaga yung no annual for life ng citibank?

i applied for one recently kasi sabi nung agent, no annual fee for life nga daw. dumating yung cards ko today, 2 pinadala nila - cashback and cebu pacific. akala ko supplementary yung isa, pero name ko nakalaga on both card. tapos dun sa mga enclosed documents, andun pa din yung mga annual fees. kaya naguguluhan ako ngayon kasi malinaw pagkakasabi ng agent, no annual for life daw talaga. kaya ako nag-apply.

kung di totoo yun, magiging 2 annual fees pa babayaran ko ngayon. bakit kasi 2 pa pinadala nila. papa-close ko agad 'to. yun lang, nanghihinayang ako kasi malaki yung credit limit.

pangit ang experience ko with bdo. i was not aware na may credit card pala ako ng bdo until i received a text message on promos. i called up their call center and learned that i have a credit card with them for almost 3 months. nung tanungin ko kung nasaan ang credit card unsuccessful delivery attempts daw. yun pala they keep on delivering it to a wrong address. para makuha ko daw i have to write a letter of request and fax ko daw sa kanila. pina cancel ko na lang, nakakatakot naman, baka kanino pa mapunta.

Hi sis shinta yes totoo yung free for life na waive ng annual fee HOWEVER better call them to confirm kasi alam ko meron yang until when lang yata.

Better use the cashback. You can use rebates mo to pay your annual fee if ever na yun ang problem mo. Or pwede mos ya ipunin so you can use it naman to shop. Max of 1k a mo. So thats 12k a year rin

thanks mga sis. tumawag na ako, free for life nga. baka extended yung promo. nung una sabi, if meron dating citi credit card, di ako pwedeng mag-qualify. for new cc holders lang daw ang promo. i had 2 before pero matagal na yun. tapos yun, chineck nya, 2009 and 2011 pa na-close yung mga cards ko so pwede na ako for free for life. yey! di lang daw pwede yung recently lang nagpa-close ng accounts (within the last 6 months).

I hope nga totoo, in'offer din to sakin, pero yung terms and condition leaflet na kasam ang card, meron mga description ng Annual Fee per type of card.
first time CC holder :) and I intend to use it wisely (God help me)
pero I think madali naman because, same sya ng payroll namin so online na lang sa pag bayad.

first time ko ma late payment last 30th ng december :( nakaligtaan ko tapos nakapag bayad ako 31 although holiday i paid through my online banking. my question is machacharge pa rin bako ng late payment kahit 1 day lang :(

Sis you can call them to ask for reversal ng late fees pag ganyan. Lalo kung nagholiday. Usually kasi may grace period pa nga yung payments eh.

sino sainyo ang nakapag online shopping na using bankard? i have a problem kasi. i bought things sa amazon and then nadecline yung ibang item dahil nag overlimit na. sa amazon, they will continue to try to charge 2 to 3 times daw until either di matuloy or matuloy. sa lahat ng instance na yun, aba ang bankard charged me! iisang order lang yun, multiple charges! i complained na pero pano kung hindi naman maresolve into my favor huhu :'( sobrang nakakainis tong rcbc talaga..

Pag ganyan sis it's the fault of merchant talaga (amazon in your case) since sila yung katransact mo. You have to coordinate with amazon para ireverse nila yung nacharge na di dapat. Though you can also call rcbc bankard and tell them na charge ka 2-3x. Irereverse din nman nila yon don't worry. Make sure lang kunin mo name ng csr na kausap mo since in my experience dami sa kanila hindi ginagawa yung requests/complaints ng cardholders. Take note of date and name ng kausap always so you can complain if ever they don't act on it. And dont forget magtyaga ka to ffup til it gets reversed. Hope this helps. :)

I have a problem using my Bankard CC too. Ayaw sa online shopping or online booking. Hindi ko narerecieve ang one time password. Several times ko na to naexperience so I just use my Citibank for online transactions.

Nakakabwisit talaga BDO, hindi lang bangko kungdi CC.

May tumawag sa akin last weekend, taga BDO at may free CC daw ako due to my housing loan. Ok tinanggap ko na & answered all the required q's. Ngayon may tumawag na naman, so I decided to cancel. At talagang sarcastic pa tone ng sagot sa akin. Akala naman nya kawalan ko. Buti pinacancel ko na. It might be a premonition of my future transaction with them. Sakit sa ulo.

Sis ano yung one time password? Usually kasi pag online transactions ang hinihingi is yung 3-digit number at the back of your credit card.
