I did already sis.. At ang masaklap pa is sinabihan nila ako na okay lang to use my JCB card if di pa dumating yung bagong mastercard ko so ayun I tried dun sa Istore at nahiya ako dahil sa kanila kasi decline daw.. Nakakainis lang talaga sis..  >:(

i used to have a TD account at metrobank and they sent me my visa card in less than 2 weeks. been using it for 7 years already. once, my account was hacked via paypal. that was 4 years ago. and i complained to metrobank about it. had to send several documents refuting the said transaction. good thing they cleared it up (i'm not paying 7k for something i didn't buy!) and they even doubled my credit limit a month after the incident.

@pretty_B: sis i think metrobank has a go mastercard which lets you earn points which you can use for rewards and cebupac flights. my friend has one. i'm not really sure but she told me before that she's not paying for any annual fee. dunno if it's just for the first year though. and if you want you can even design your own card. :)

you might want to consider bpi right now, they are offering free annual fee for life.

@sis r3d, i have a friend working sa metrobank. nag-apply sya for cc sabi 2 weeks daw tatawagan siya (together with my other friend na nagapply din), but until now wala pang tawag. does that mean hindi sila approved? and with regards to freebies, mejo kakaunti sa metrobank diba?  :-\

@sis cody23, how's that sis? madali kaya ma-approved sa bpi?

sisters, what can you say about bdo cc? okay ba? sa bdo kasi ang account ko so im considering bdo din. however, may mga nagsasabi na ang taas ng interes dito. totoo ba? and do you suggest na magpacancel ng cc before 1 year para di na magbabayad ng annual fee? thanks sa mga sasagot. :)

^depends on the purpose of your card. If your purpose is to build a Credit character/history, cancelling a card every year is not good. You may opt to request a refund/waive your annual fee, that depends also on your negotiation and usage of the card : ;).

Here's the detail of BPI promo

http://www.bpicards.com/Page/96

@pret_ty68

if you applied between aug 1 to sep 16 you can get your annual fee waive for life. If not i think pwede ka mag apply ng bpi amore and have the annual membership fee waived for life.

@pretty_B

if you have existing cc na, madali na siya ma approved, if not having a bank relationship with them helps, other than that not too sure how strict they are. I like bpi's promo and payments are easy, i have my bpi for a long time already.

for other cc, metrobank, if you frequent robinson's mall, they have payday rebates 8% this is on top of items that are already on sale, and no minimum purchases required, but there's a cap on the rebate per year. For their charge slips redemption, often not as good as other cc.

for bdo cc, they have good promo time to time, i'm satisfied with their service, my card with them was actually from equitable before bdo acquired them, have it for more than 2 decades now.
With regards to interest i believe almost all cards run the almost the same, but as a rule, never ever have revolving balances, sobrang lugi ka talaga sa interest, if it can't be help say there's incident and you can't pay for the whole amount, do a balance transfer to another card, saves you a lot. For the cancellation naman, normally banks offer annual fee waiver, some instantly some subject to some conditions.

sisters, newbie talaga ako about sa cc kaya please do help meeee. i just want to have my first cc. >_< HEEELP! :D

Wala ako masyado alam sa BPI, pero sis apply for a Mastercard kasi accepted yan anywhere.

Kakaloka customer service reps ng Metrobank. Puro mali mali. 1st week of August na-approve credit card ko, I asked the 1st rep if it's okay to have the card delivered to my office address without authorization letter. Okay lang daw.

Then few days after I received text message na I should have auth letter nga. So call ako hotline to change the delivery add, and they asked for my cell no in case daw the courier needs to call. After 10 days walang courier, so call uli ako to follow up and hingi si 2nd rep ng cell no ko uli and within the week na daw dadating ang card.

After one week, wala pa rin delivery so I called again and last lang nabalik uli sa courier yong card with the updated address. So this week na daw talaga. Pina verify ko cellphone number ko and mali ang nasa record nila!!!! Number ng reference person ko nakalagay. Natawa na lang ako 3rd rep, ang gulo gulo nila hahaha. So this week na daw talaga dadating hehe.

@pretty_B

All the 3 cards you mention from BPI are mastercard, so pwede mo siyang gamitin sa mga promo na 0% for gadgets and appliances. Alam ko airline tie up nila is delta air, for local airlines you have to get other bank's cc.

The difference of the 3, is bpi skymiles accumulate milage pts, while the blue mastercard have real thrill points, the bpi family i believe doesn't have such incentives, but offer lower AMF and lower finance charge. Unless na plan mo mag revolve ng balance (which i strongly suggest you don't) mas ok yung blue mastercard, yung AMF maski di ka makuha ng waive for life, usually madali lang mag pa waive sa bpi.

^^ and ^ thanks!

mukhang i'd go to the blue mastercard. sana ma-approved ako. >___< anyway, here are the documents i "planned" to submit:
1. id (passport, postal, voter's, tin) - lahat na para masaya! haha!
2. last 2 payslips - bali 1 month lang ba? since 2x naman ang sahod?
3. COE with income

okay na ba yan? or need pa ng itr?

ilang days ba dumating yung Citibank card after ma approve? ang hirap kasi sa kin ngayon sira landline namin so i can't call their toll-free.
meron na akong enrollment online, dumating the other day sa e-mail kaya nag assume akong OK na yung naging application ko sa Citibank.
