^^thanks sis hushush. Nagulat ako 500 cal lol. Try ko muna at least calories. Grabe dami kong errands kanina habang on IF muntikan na ako kumain before 12nn dahil sa pagod at gutom. Nakasurvive ako ng first day!

Yes sis hushush 50 kcal is allowed to consume. pero my point was malamang hindi 50 kcal ang chips and chocolates.

Warning din for girls this might change your menstrual cycle kaya advised na go for 14 hour fasting then 10 hour eating window for women. Tapos gradually increase the fasting hours. nung first time ko ginawa to 2 months akong walang period. haha

Yesterday, 2pm ako nagstart ng IF until 8am (18hrs) this morning kasi kumain ako ng pancit malabon at siomai..ambigat sa tyan.. :)
Then checked my weight. 49.6kg (walang damit , panty lang. hehe). Not bad. :)

Giving this a shot, though I think I shouldn't have jumped right into 16:8 schedule! Hahaha had a hard time this morning as I woke up at 8AM but had to wait til 12NN to eat. Had a cup of black coffee but tummy was still growling!

I think I'll adjust to 14:10 for now.

I am on Day 28 of intermittent fasting, and naging clear and glowing ang skin ko, lost 5kg and can work out during fasted state. I read The Obesity Code, Guide to Intermittent Fasting, Delay Don't Deny and The Fast Diet. I watch Dr Jason Fung on youtube and it is very informative, one has to keep an open mind that everything we have learned before like breakfast is the most important meal of the day, or eat six frequent meals, don't let yourself be hungry turns out that hindi sya totoo and they cited it using evidence based studies. I thought I couldn't do a fast but it is the most simple, most easy and most effective way to lose weight. Read more about autophagy and insulin resistance during fasting and I'm sure it will be worth it. I am not looking back on my previous habits before, I' ll stick to this lifestyle, very simple, cheap, no special meals or counting calories, just counting the hours. And it also improved my concentration and meditation.

chelseagurl glad to know Sis, I'm also doing IF (14:10) pero no fasted cardio, yet. I work out at night and have limited my calorie intake. Ilang oras ang IF mo?

So far 1 week palang ako religious sa routine ko na ganito, and +- 1 kg palang na lose ko. I know water weight palang yon and it can bounce back, kaya kailangan ng consistency I'm giving myself at least 2-3 mos to lose a significant amount of weight.

Sa IF matagal tagal na din, probably a month? Pero hinde tuloy tuloy, mga 4 out of 7 days. All I can say is , I agree sa part na nag glow/clear skin ko, nagulat din ako na kasama yun sa effect, or baka kasi my lifestyle changed? Hinde na din ako masyado gutumin, or if ever magutom man, madali icontrol at mabusog.

Sometimes trial and error talaga lahat, super breakfast person ako noon, but now I'm liking this routine, I break my fast with a pc of apple and coffee at around 9AM since 6-7PM ang last meal ko, in fairness umaabot naman ako ng 12 lunch time ng di nahihimatay sa gutom. Pero I drink A LOT of water.

I eat 1 proper meal a day (lunch), sa dinner/last meal/pre work out ko I consume proteins, light lang like boiled egg and banana/tofu/tuna tapos I walk/run or do plyo/strength work outs.

I guess, pati yung mindset ko na I need nutrition mayat maya or kailangan kumain ako ng almusal, lunch, snacks, dinner, binago ko. Noon kasi parang doon umiikot buhay haha, everything about food, takbo sa food kapag sad and kapag happy.

Ako din sis IF for already 2months no cheating talagang straight from 9AM-12NN I drink hot green tea and water with cucumber and calamansi extract.

Pero in between 12NN-7PM walang bawal I still eat chips and chocolate (no rice lang talaga since I have been in no rice diet for 9years na rin) and no softdrinks and coffee. pero madali na rin ako mabusog ending wala na rin akong dinner, tapos tikim na lang din ginagawa ko pag kumakain ako I stop pag hindi na ako gutom, ayoko mabusog kasi that is when I start to bloat..

^Glad to hear. Kamusta 2 mos mo Sis, did you lose weight ba? Target ko kasi pumayat in 1 month, kaya binawasan ko din calories ko sa 1st meal (apple and coffee lang) and last meal ko (2 boiled eggs & banana/konting tofu/tuna - para may energy ako sa workout), yung lunch ang bumobongga ako, pero mostly healthy pa din like salads, kamote, saba, lean meat and gulay viands, inalis ko muna rice and carbs sa sistema ko and anything bad (except may 1 ako cheat meal per week).  :D

I want to try gawing longer, pero not now, medyo di ko pa din tanggap yung notion of skipping breakfast altogether, di ko kaya walang kape, eh more than 50 kcal ang coffee ko since may cream and sugar hehe.

Yung upbringing kasi natin, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

And same sa gabi, pag nag midnight snack ako, gutom agad ako sa umaga so kelangan magalmusal tapos pag nagalmusal, madali magutom - rinse & repeat..

By skipping breakfast and midnight snack, nakiki-IF na den pala ako.  ;D
One year and eight months going na, so far I've managed to keep the weight down pero recently lang ako naging conscious mag stick closer to 16/8, not strictly.  My sked is 1pm lunch, before 9pm tapos na dinner.

We can do it!

Hi sis.  I watched a couple of Dr. Jason Fung's videos last night.  Tama ba na he is recommending a ketogenic/LCHF way of eating?  Did you adopt this or just ate whatever you wanted and just counted the hours?  Thanks.

Have tried this too <3 super effective. How it works is that it resets your metabolism.

This way is great too because you're not depriving yourself so much.

Day 1 of IF. I had breakfast at 9am, lunch at 2pm, and green tea at 5pm. Sana kaya ko sustain for the next 2 weeks. My main challenge is overcoming breakfast. Routine ko kase to have breakfast at 630, workout at 7, then prepare for work. I do Shaun T's Insanity everyday and buti na lang kanina naka recovery day but tomorrow, back to the usual HIIT and mata-try ko for the first time na mag-work out without eating first. Sana ok. Very promising mga posts nyo.

Sanayan lang talaga, I'm a morning person so part na ng routine ang heavy proper breakfast, but after maka adjust ng body ko sa IF routine, I can survive my morning with just 1 pc of fruit and coffee, and now, coffee nalang talaga, di na talaga ko ginugutom sa umaga, coffee naman is good for metabolism so I don't masama yung ginagawa ko, di namana ko acidic and wala ako issue sa sikmura + lemon water ako pagkagising and lots of water intake.

I feel light, maski kumain ako twice a day ng proper or heavy, kesa small meals na super pigil na pigil. So technically parang 2MAD + IF ako ngayon. Effortless, I do light workouts lang, I eat as much as I want to maski ano. I can only imagine pag namili pako ng food na super healthy and limit my calorie intake.

This is a game changer for me, nawala na sa sistema ko yung notion na kailangan kumain ng kumain para bumilis metabolism or we need to eat 3-5 x a day or else we're doomed.  ;D

Na notice ko din na na identify ko na which is a real and fake hunger, hehe minsan pag inom mo ng water titigil agad yung pagkalam ng sikmura.

Started last month ng nasa 51 kgs ako, 47-48 kgs nalang ako ngayon, with a lot of cheat meals and drinks pa yan and limited work outs.

I have a feeling it is effective for me.

Everytime I see myself in the mirror na motivate ako sa pag continue ng IF kasi sayang naman nasimulan, dati ang goal ko lang is huwag ng tumaba hindi na bale hindi ako pumayat, pero since pumapayat then good!
