I am making my IF a bit intense, my first meal is at 12NN for lunch and I can eat anything between 12NN-5PM. pero I end up not eating anything at all after 12NN, kasi busog na ending this is my last meal of the day na rin and eat again the next day 12NN,,buwis buhay, kasi naman almost every day buffet and party pinuntahan ko need to digest every bit of food para lumiit waist line..

Correct sis, and to think we are just half way the season itself, mas maraming kainan next week and last week of December.  So need to drain and digest every food out of my system bago ko replenish ng bago even I am starving na pag dating sa umaga, what I do is 2 hours before eating  I drink squeezed lemon with green tea.

^I like your idea of flushing food out before taking in again.  I drink hot water with lemon after eating, guaranteed #2 agad after around 15 mins.  Just the other day I bought the Century Tuna Superbods book because I'm determined to see my abs next year haha!  May variation dun ng lemon water.

Abs Water:

2 liters drinking water
1 tbsp lemongrass stalks, washed, chopped
1 lemon or lime, sliced into rounds
1 tsp grated ginger

Combine all ingredients in a pitcher and chill in the ref for at least 6 hours or overnight.  Drink 1 pitcher a day.

may tendency ba na bumalik sa dati or magworst ang appetite after doing intermittent fasting?

kasi I did this before the holidays and I did well on the first week. Pero now biglang lakas ng appetite ko

... not sure if this is the after effect ng fasting tapos biglang nagstop nung holidays OR because of apple cider vinegar that I started taking.

Anyway, I will restart this for this year. Hopefully pumayat before  summer

Back to IF again, this last two weeks I never miss dinner so again need to scartch eating dinner from my routine, ito kasi malakas magpataba at makapagpabloated sa akin.

Sobrang need na rin na samahan ng work out or jogging.

I think the problem with IF is when those who adhere to these diet forget the "intermittent" part of it. When it becomes a schedule, it's not intermittent anymore.

I do skip meals sometimes, but I never plan them, thus the "intermittent" part. In addition, most proponents of IF are male. There are studies that females reacts differently to IF. So, if you are concerned about your fertility, I suggest reading more peer-reviewed paper about this.

effective ba talaga to?

I have been doing it unintentionally pero I do not see the results. I do it on weekdays, my first meal will be during lunch at 12noon, then next meal ko na is dinner at 8-9pm. then next day lunch na ulit kain ko. Bali that is 15hours fasting but truly no results.  :(

Been there, done that. Stopped. And never will fast again.

-Fasting slows down metabolism (not good, cause eating unhealthy snack makes you gain wait fast)
-Bad relationship with food. Food became something stressful
-Tendency to binge cause of restriction
-Develops unhealthy relationship witg food and your body

Yeah, sobrang fail pa din ng metabolism ko. And gained a lot of weight back, so I'm choosinf the healthy and maintanable route now :)

before getting married, I only eat rice in the morning and bread only on lunch. So I don't eat anything from 2pm to 6am the next day. Around 18 hours of fasting.

after marriage, same pa din 18 hours, pero I eat rice na on lunch. hehe  ;D

It works for me, pero sabay exercise. I lost around 7kg.  ;)

nung before ng wedding everyday. pagdating ko from work, 7pm ako nakakauwi. Gym na kaagad. 1 hour lang, minsan less. 30 mins cardio, 30 mins crossfit.

Pag tamad mag gym, sa bahay lang, konting cardio, konting crossfit. Mahalaga lang mabanat yung katawan at pagpawisan.

I just recently discovered this is a thing. I just thought I was skipping breakfast because "di pa gising ang tiyan ko". My last meal of the day would be around 8-9pm. I have green tea in a tall stainless tumbler after dinner. I go to bed around 2-3am, wake up the next day around 9am, have water or my leftover tea from last night. First meal of the day would be lunch at 12:30, meryenda by 4-5pm, rinse and repeat.

I've tried to abide with the "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" and forced myself to eat something, anything even if i don't feel like it. I stopped doing that and now I'm apparently doing IF.

For almost 8 months, I've lost a total of 14kg gradually. I never lost weight this effortlessly before. Combining IF (albeit unconsciously) with mindful healthy eating (savoring food instead of wolfing down) and expending energy as much as possible helped me achieve this.

I started light exercises last month only but never the intensity I did before. Just around 5 mins of dancing, jumping around, polishing our wood floor with a rug is what I do. I eat whatever is available so I don't deprive myself and get monster cravings but only in small portions and I force myself to consciously enjoy the food to prevent mindlessly stuffing my face. Decreased my carb intake (less rice and bread) but not totally removed it from my diet because I love rice, bread, & pasta.

While working at my desk, I fidget to use energy like lifting my knees, kuyakoy style on my chair.

I'm not sure how this would pan out in the coming months, years but so far, I feel fine and I get my pig out weekends guilt-free and still lose weight so there must be something to this.

For some ladies whom IF is not effective, don't fret. From what I've recently learned somewhere in the internet, from limited research done comparing IF results between the sexes, it seems that most MEN benefit from this and most women don't.

What I do right now:

4AM - work out
Stretching, planking, squats

8AM - Green Tea with Calamansi then water

12NN or 1PM - First meal of the day
I chew everything so intently (kasi sanay ako kaunting chew the swallow agad hehe)
Then I stop pag "hindi na ako gutom", (dati kasi I stop only pag busog na ako)
I eat in moderation lang

6PM - Last meal of the day

Then repeat!

So there is around 17hours difference from my last meal before I eat..
