what's in your maternity/hospital bag?

Hi mga sis!

When you say baby bag ba 1 lang to?
Or you have a smaller bag na andun yung mga super important things na need ni baby pagkalabas nya like soap, first set of clothes, thermometer, cotton etc.
Then a 2nd bag for the rest of baby' item (more clothes, lampin etc)

Then 3rd bag for mommy na

^ako sis 1 bag for baby. ang contents e puro damit nya na gagamitin per day. as in naka individual resealable bags. tapos extra diapers kasi kulang daw yun provided ng hospital. di na ko magdadala ng toiletry kit nya kasi provided na daw yun ng hospital.

tapos meron kami small maleta para sa damit namin ni hubby. then another bag para sa mga items na "baka kailanganin" like extra cotton balls, extra underpads, etc pero eto e iwan lang muna sa sasakyan at kukunin lang if kailanganin nga.

Kami naman hati na kami ni baby (naka resealable bags din) sa isang maleta, tapos may isang maliit na maleta for labor bag/daddy bag. Bale during labor, labor bag muna ang dadalhin ni hubby, kapag andyan na si baby saka gagamitin yung baby/mommy bag.

Baby's bag:
4 sets of clothing, individually packed using ziploc bags. 3 of which contain either tie sides or onesies, pajama, hat, socks, and mittens while the last one is the going home outfit which is a coverall with matching hat.
A receiving blanket
A swaddle sleepsack
A pack of disposable diapers
Emery board for nails, brush just in case may hair na siya

Mommy and Daddy bag:
Going home outfit for both of us
2 sets of sleepwear for hubby
1 set of sleepwear for me (i'm okay with using the hospital gown)
Nursing bra
Towel
Maternity pads and adult diapers
Socks

*for sure, i'll still have a handbag which contains my set of make up, wallet, note, cellphone, charger

*a small bag or paper bag that contains snacks in case we have visitors, electric kettle, and our thank you gift to my OB

hi mga sis! im due to give birth in march kaya nagpe-prepare na din ng things to bring sa hospital. question lang, ideally ba dapat long sleeves ang tie sides ni baby or ok lang short sleeve? also, my officemate suggested na instead of putting baby's things in a bag, mas ok daw yung mga plastic containers para kita agad ng nurses. lalo na the hospital here does not allow rooming in the baby so nursery talaga sya mag-stay. what do you think mga sis?

k@thleen - mas okay ang long sleeves sis. ang babies kasi natin, sanay sila sa loob ng tummy natin na warm pa, and para naman hindi sila mabigla sa temperature sa outside world.
yung sakin kasi room in si baby, then yung paliliguan na sya, bumalik sila sa room para kunin si baby and yung mga damit, ako mismo ang nagbigay. wala sa plastic containers. besides, yung hospital sis, nag poprovide naman sila nga mga essentials ni baby (not sure nga lang sa ibang hospitals). yung kay baby ko kasi, damit lang ang binigay namin. so yung mga essentials namin na dala for her, hindi namin nagamit.

thanks sis katrinac! was able to talk to one of my officemates na doon din nanganak sa hospital where my ob is affiliated. according to her, baby's clothes are provided by the hospital daw, toiletries lang ang kailangang i-provide

Sis ako magdadala ng dalawang bath towel ni baby just in case bibigay ko na rin yun pag pinaliguan sya.

^^ sis, they have towels when they give the baby baths in the nursery but if in-room na, you have to provide the towels. Or maybe depende sa hospital. Nway, that's my experience in Chinese General Hosp.

Ask ko na din anong gamit niyo na bag? Maleta ba o normal bag lang? Maleta kasi gamit ko iniisip ko mukha bang overpacked? hehe

husbywifey keri lang yan! Naisip ko rin magmaleta eh kaso nasstressedsi hubby. Hahaha. So i opt to packed my things and hubby's things sa super laki na bag pangtravel din. Tapos hiwalay yung gamit ni baby sa baby bag nakaziplock bawat isag outfit nya for ilang days just to be sure.

Haha. Kami naman baliktad. Hubby wants to use a maleta para isang bitbit lang. Ako naman pinaghiwalay hiwalay ko. Baka magbago pa din. We'll see kasi nakakadalwang bago nako e d pa ako tapos magpack so baka mag maleta na nga lang kami.

Small maleta dala namin for mine and hubby's things. Tapos baby bag for baby's stuff. Mas gusto din ni hubby ng maleta para pagulong na lang, pwede pa patong baby bag sa ibabaw so isang hilahan na lang.

we used maleta for me and hubby while separate bag yung sa mga babies ko kasi bring nila sa nursery room...
