Sis Anapatootiee, do you really want to grow old alone? I mean it's not really a bad thing pero sa puso mo gusto mo ba? If no, then don't condition yourself into growing old  alone cause it might affect your future decisions and outlook in life. And as I've said, don't rush in love. Try praying na rin to GOD, it helps a lot. Ako naman, I'm single and I'm enjoying it but I know in my heart I want to be with someone it's just that wala pang dumadating that's why I'm just enjoying kung anong meron ngayon.

Well, I don't really know if I like it but I think I'm on that conditioning myself part a little bit because whenever I think of the future, I only think of my career and how I would take care of my brothers' kids in the future. And I'm not really rushing, truth is, I only hang out with my friends and most of them are girls and I only stay at home. But I agree with talking to God for me to find someone who defies his definition of a man, which is defined by society. If ever I would find a man like that, amd would find out that he likes me, I would be head over heels for him.

^ang bata mo pa. Honestly, at your age you shouldn't be dwelling so much on things like this. Enjoy school, have fun with your friends, do what you love. Be carefree muna. Sayang ang teen life mo if you don't live in the moment.

I totally agree with you sis Simang. Sis annapatootiee, you never know what's ahead and it's too early to condition yourself na magiging single ka forever kasi ang bata mo pa. It's good to explore life din and see what  you can do pa. Love is very ideal but it's not perfect.

As much as id like to say that I love being single, my answer would be NO.
People can say that there is no need for  you to be sad because have your family and friends around you.
But Yes you can still feel sad even if you are surrounded by family and friends.
I usually feel sad among a sea if people surrounding me.
They seem to be busy, being a significant other to someone.
Being a mere sibling/ friend, you  have to accept that you will always come second

#feels !!!
true, iba ang companion ng family and friends sa significant other e. you cannot substitute one for the other. sometimes i feel exactly like this... may mga episodes talaga e, hehe. but then again, ang key lang talaga jan is learn to be happy with your now... with yourself. mahabang journey sha pero once you get there, all is gonna be well. not the best, pero keri na :)

Yes. Malapit kasi ako sa family and friends ko, we always hangout and have lunches together, and I get to buy myself anything I want.

Im very independent but get comments from people that its not normal to be alone. I guess singlehood is not socially accepted pa by some. That getting married then getting annulled is more normal than simply choosing to be single.

Of course dont turn your back to the 'right one'---you will feel it naman if sya na  :-*

I think that's the way to say it that we shouldn't close our doors on possibilities of finding our partner in this lifetime. But there's nothing wrong with being single for as long as you find happiness and contentment.

I ENJOY being single; I don't love being in a mediocre relationship.

para sa mga sis natin na single i just want to share this.

* a relationship isn't a measure of your self worth or worthiness in the world. it is not there to give you things like happiness and self-esteem.

* it is not there to make you feel good about your life and about yourself.

* a relationship isn't some sort of milestone, a sign you have "made it", that you'll be ok, that you are now a member of some elite club. it is not a goal to achieve.

that's what i learned. kahit may bf ka kung hindi ka happy mag isa hindi ka rin magiging happy in a relationship. a bf will not solve all your problems. a relationship is an experience to be had and shared. pero individual pa rin kayo na may mga sariling buhay.

^agree about the pressure from other people lalo na sa family mo. Kaya nung single ako I hate reunions o kaya birthday parties ng uncles ko kasi andun lahat and they were asking bakit wala ka pang boyfriend.

Dati nga naiisip ko they intentionally make me feel bad for not having a boyfriend just because they are in a relationship.

When I was still single, I appreciate my other sister's gesture. Pag may out of town/country trip siya niyayaya niya ko.

When I was still single, I enjoyed the peace and quiet.

I dated a few guys after my first year, 3 expats, they didn't work out. I guess its because lack of connection, sa umpisa lang kilig kiligan, but later on, you both discover things about each other and its just much better to stop seeing them.

Now, I enjoy my own company. Once you actually enjoy being alone, to be independent, not asking anyone's permission to do your own thing, or go somewhere, walang selosan, walang LQ, walang praning moments if may ibang girlalu, ang sarap maging single. Of course its different for every single girl.

Now, until I meet that one person who will make me believe in love again and all its worth, I won't settle.

KAhit pogi pa sya so what ano mapapala ko dun.

I rather be single keysa mapunta ako sa may 2 anak na different wifes at liar and mapang-gawa ng kwento.

2016 is not a good year for me... :-(

^Same here, single sa Pasko. But I don't know, I don't really feel like there is something missing. I feel comfortable being alone. This year is definitely better than the last two Christmases.
