^true! i'm learning to accept that this society is so cruel actually.

naloka naman ako sa "ukay ukay or 2nd hand goods" na term. grabehan lang ang peg? i also don't see myself like that. those people around me don't see me like that either.

^ That's great sis!  ;)  Key is to always aim for the best for everything.  Nakakatawa din, so long as you maintain yourself well (di lang physically, but also career wise, spiritually, intellectually etc), I am sure you are more to offer than normal singles. Nasa individual talaga and it is up to the RIGHT and MATURE guy to see through that.

Minsan naisip ko nga, mas ok narin, at least it gives us lesser trouble in discerning the boys from the men. And truly, minsan you end up rejecting single men kasi they are not good enough pa for you.  ;D

^correct me if im wrong but i have this observation that most single moms are prettier and more successful compare to before where they are single. i always have this in mind to keep a positive outlook.

i have to agree with you na ok na rin na single mom kesa naman puro pain na lang and the like. not to mention my ex is already 25 when i got pregnant ( i'm 22 by then ) and he constantly say na hindi pa sya ready. duh! para-paraan.

Bakit walang masyadong guytalker na sumagot? takot masabon? or just practising,,,"if you having nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" ?

I salute Sacred Cow for being true to himself kahit alam nyang babatuhin sya after expressing his opinion.

I know some guys who date single moms. Some are serious while some a______s date them because they are disposable daw. Based on observation, most of those sincerely open to marry single moms are the ones who came from broken family or with sisters who are single moms. Mas understanding sila.

All things being equal, syempre sa single kana. Pero kung choices are matinong single mom at hdi matinong single...definitely, will go for the single mom. Only if wala na ako makitang single na kasing ok nun single mom. And yes, really depends kung paano nabuo ang bata. If from ellicit affair, fubu or one night stand ba or from a normal relationship at minalas lang.

i've been reading here since i first saw this thread posted. but i guess now i have to post my own comment na rin.

it's just so sad that most guys typecast single moms na as "ukay-ukay" or "second hand". PLEASE, be mindful of your choice of words if you want women to respect you and your honest opinions.

in my case, i am a single mom of 2 boys, 15 year old and 5 year old. they have different dads. would you tell me na wala akong kwentang babae or malandi ako or kaladkarin ako because i did the same mistake twice?

my eldest, i broke up with the dad before i even found out i was pregnant. i was 18, but marriage did not even come close to my mind. my reason? i don't need that!

my second, i was 27 and the dad was 19. he asked me to stop taking the pill since he wants to become the dad that his did not came to be. ok, i was amazed for a young guy to be serious about a responsibility. ending? he did not work for all the time i was pregnant and even after i gave birth. we lived together for almost 5 years, but i can't take it anymore. i left him.

i've been a single mother for 15 years now. i am also the breadwinner of the family that my dad left (i'm the eldest). i earn my own dough, i pay my bills.

fortunately, i met a man who is very open-minded about my past. i don't ask him for any help financially, i provide for my kids and family. he's 45 and i'm 34. we both work. i earn more than him. but i treat him like any man should be treated especially since he knows how to treat me as well - AS A PERSON WHO IS OF VALUE DESPITE THE PAST. I asked him if did he ever once worry of getting into a serious relationship with me and my situation. His answer? I am accepting you as a person that you are now. You became what you are when I met you, and fell in love with you, and your past made you - the person who I fell in love with - today.

I don't need him to support my children's needs. If he extends his willingness, I will accept. If not, it's not a problem. And by the way, marriage is not on my mind. I think you don't need a piece of paper just to define how strong your relationship will be.

Pardon the long post, guys  ;)

i have highest regard for single mom because it is not easy to be one. would i date one? yes, i did. it didnt work out not because she was a single mom but because we just drifted apart.

kanya kanyang preferences yan...

some prefer virgins...

some prefer same religious affiliations...

some prefer same races...

and some do not have any preferences...

as for me... kapag ginusto ko yung girl... ginusto ko yung buong pagkatao nya... that includes accepting her past, her family and her loveones...

so to answer the question?

"YES I WOULD..."

i'm a single mom for 5.5 years now and have a boyfriend of almost 5 years na din.

what made him date me? i guess nakita nya sa akin how maasikaso i was when we were still dating, actually up to now na nagsasama na kami, yan ang isa kong promise sa kanya, i will always tend to his needs. and no, i'm not one of those women na ipapaako sa current yung anak ni ex. my ex still provides for our daughter.

luckily hindi naman ako nahirapan na pumasok ulit sa panibagong relationship. we used to work together   sa isang resto and he knew even before na may anak ako. when i separated from my ex, dun na sya pumasok sa eksena.

there were times na naghiwalay na kami talaga for months and yet bumalik pa din sya sa akin.

you have to admit, iba din kasi ang karisma ng single hot mommies..  ;)

Kanya-kanyang preferences lang ika nga. May mga guys na ayaw sa single moms. Meron din na willing pumatol. Naniniwala ako na kung mahal ka talaga ng isang lalaki, matatanggap niya kahit may anak ka pa. Kung di niya tanggap, move on. Madami pang iba dyan.

im open with that. i wouldnt mind if she is a single mom. what's important is i found in her the qualities that ive been looking for in a girl and that we go along well. i believe this is not an issue for men anymore. a lot of men now accepts reality.

I've been in a relationship with two single moms in the past - one is just for a couple of months while the other one lasted for a little over a year.

I used to date a professional single mom  :). still makes me smile pag na aalala ko sya. I was young then. Peer pressure at judgement ng ibang tao got the best of me. Now its one of the biggest regret of my life... I shouldnt have let her go.
