I can't plan the honeymoon until November/ December so it will have to wait.

Already know where I want to go though. H2B's non negotiables is that I should not have been to that country before. So I made a deal that my 30th country onwards will be with him.

@shygirlme - scandinavia is expensive but if you can diy instead of going on a tour. I believe it should save you some money to do so. My favourite would be bergen in norway and the archipelago in stockholm.

hi girls. is it recommended na korea ang honeymoon? just wanna know if that's a good idea. kasi baka instead of chill relax kind of honeymoon, e puro pagod abutin namen sa kakavisit ng mga tourist spots nila.

Hi Sis barcar12 , we just had our honeymoon in Korea last week. It is summer there now, but not too hot. Just perfect for strolling around. Sharing with you our itinerary:

Day 1: Everland and shopping at Gangnam
Day 2: Bukchon Hanok Village, City Hall, Shopping at Myeongdong and Namdaemun & finally N Seoul Tower
Day 3: Gyeoungbokgung palace, Cheonggycheon stream, Dongdaemun design plaza, shopping at Lotte mart

It's also an interesting place to go on a foodtrip. Eventhough madami kaming na-visit na place, it's not too tiring kasi very efficient ang transpo nila. We are both architects kaya din siguro we don't get tired as long as amazed kami sa architecture ng place. Every corner din yata may coffee shops, restaurants there are also cozy kaya parang breakfast lunch and dinner date lahat.

we are planning to go to Maldives this November for our 1st year anniversary. OKay ba ang weather ng November? I read kasi na end of wet season ang Nov so really praying hard na maganda ang weather kasi nakapagbook na kami ng flight.

Hi sis! We're back from one-week honeymoon in Maldives.  The weather was really nice sis.  Super sunny the whole time we were there kaya nothing to worry about..
I highly recommend staying in a water villa.  It can get pricey, yes, but it's so worth it!  We had our own balcony in our water villa and on the balcony there's jacuzzi, hammock, sun loungers, and stairs going directly to the ocean.  It's like having your own private space on the beautiful island.  Super romantic!
The resort also gave us complimentary champagne and chocolates in our villa because it was our honeymoon.  At night, hubby suprised me with a private candle light 5-course dinner by the beach.  They set-up flowers and candles on the pathway going to our dinner table with romantic instrumental music playing.  Only the two of us on that area, it was beautiful!

Here is our itinerary (3-4)Weeks.

Manila -> London -> Paris -> Milan -> Venice ->Florence -> Rome ->
Royal Caribbean Cruise going to -> (Cruise)Chania, Crete -> (Cruise)Mykonos, Greece
(Cruise)Kusadasi, Turkey -> (Cruise)Santorini, Greece -> (Cruise)Athens, Greece
(Cruise)Sicily, Italy -> (Cruise)Capri, Italy -> End of Cruise -> Rome -> Back to Manila

We're still on the planning stage.

Where to book our tour? (Travel Agency or Travel Europe on our own?) Our Travel Agency quoted $7,500/pax for our itinerary with meals.

any suggestion, na pwede namin idagdag sa itinerary?

^hi sis catherinecaparino, yes sis. we're super excited. We got a green light from our company na we could go to Europe for a month. The travel agency quoted about $7500 dollars for each so mga $15,000 kami dalawa di pa kasama ang pocket money. i'm still asking my friends if it is a good deal pero wala pa ako natatangap na response from them.

Im still torn also if we're doing a tour or planning our own. 3-4 weeks din kami pero baka Greece, Italy, France and Spain lang stopping at lots of cities within, targeting 1 week each. I think i want to customize the itinerary so it won't fit well with what the usual travel agencies offer.... does yours offer a customizable one? I'm really interested!

^^Our 5th leg of honeymoon will be in Europe early next year.  We'll be there for a month.. Will go France, Italy, Greece, Prague, and Spain..  As usual, we'll book our own flights and make our own itinerary based on what we want to see and experience and some recommendations din.  Have family living in Europe din kase so we just ask them everytime we need more local info, flights, trains and other stuff..

They're really good and you really get to explore the city (and I never felt that the walk was too long or the pace too fast; we usually lag behind mainly coz we were constantly taking photos haha). They offer free tours (at the end of which you just tip the guides), and the paid walking tours are resonably-priced(perfect for the student budget I was working under haha). I've been on groups where honeymooners take the tour too.

^ sis anneshirley is quite right  they're actually a pretty good bunch. Do check out trip advisor for recommendations. 😊😊we did the sandeman tour 2x in Edinburgh, sad to say the first tour guide we had in 2013 was better than the one we had last June . There's also a Sandeman's free walking tour in London, and in Hamburg and in Berlin Germany. And all had guides who were all well versed and quite entertaining in the city that they were in. (Think Carlos Celdran in Intramuros). Not sure in Paris though, they may have,  but it may not be free. By the way not all Sandeman Walking tours are free. But for the free ones, we just give about £5 minimum(we're kuripot). It depends on how good they are 😊😊😊

^ They have free tours in Paris and also in Amsterdam. None in Belgium though, and I don't recall any in Spain either. In any case, check out their website - the list of free and paid tours should be there and would be a lot more up-to-date!

rm1015 I find USD15,000 for the tour expensive, but then depende din sa hotel na kasama sa package baka maganda naman.  I did a very rough estimate, hotel (150 per night * 21 days) = 3,150; Flight  1,200 *2 = 2,400; Cruise 1,000 * 2 = 2,000; Trains or airfare for five cities for 2 people 150 say per fare *5 cities * 2 pax = 1,500. Total equals to 9,050. Kung may meals say 75 per person * 2 * 21 days = 3,150, so total is 12,200. I put $150 sa hotel dahil kami ni hubby normally €120 budget namin sa hotel, its okay na.  I used 21 days dahil sa cruise, kasama na meals sa bayad sa cruise.  I think pwede pa matipid sa meals dahil if 3 weeks kayo baka minsan hindi naman laging sa mahal na restaurant magdinner.

You can cheaper flights pa din if maaga ka magbook. 

If ever i will go on a tour, i dont like meals included dahil hubby and i love eating out so ayaw namin ng may nagdi-dictate sa food. Unless mga day trips lang na mas convenient kung may packed lunch na kasama.

Europe is very easy to DIY naman basta may time ka din mag-research.
